TOURIST TRAP!!!!!! AVOID!!!!!!!! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!!
This place is open late, one of the few places open late in the area as almost all other places stop serving food (Hence why I even tried it), but you're better off eating at the burger king nearby because the food here is overpriced even compared to good restaurants (Total bill was 80 euro for 2 people), and doesn't taste good.
The restaurant was completely empty when we walked in, although it was literally the only places that was still serving food around midnight in the area which was still bustling with people on the street, which should have been a red flag for me, but I gave it a shot anyway and regretted it.
Add insult to injury, the owner charged me at my table and eagerly asked me what amount of tip I wanted to leave as he swiped my card, knowing that I was a tourist which I thought was a cheap way to take advantage of my American customs (After he asked me where I was from, which I initially thought was friendly conversation).
This act was probably the thing that left the worst taste in my mouth because no restaurant I had been to or have been to in Barcelona has either given me the opportunity nor asked me to leave a tip on being charged, every tip I've left behind on my trip was totally optional and my choice, and with that said, it's discourteous to ask for a tip directly even in America, right?
Is there anything left to say? I don't think so. I would avoid, and probably call a taxi to drive to a restaurant further out that is still open and better rated.
Unfortunately around 11PM-midnight, options are sparse, but in all seriousness, you're better off going to Burger King, then stopping by a bar after if you're trying to have a drink than going to this place. read more
