I emailed him the approved plans, permit, and engineering (I already had completed) the day he came out and was told it would be about a week before he could get me a quote. After 2 weeks not hearing from him, I emailed him for an update and didn't hear back from him for nearly another 2 weeks. So, after about a MONTH I finally received an estimate that was about 5x my other quotes from highly recommended, licensed and insured contractors. My suggestion is to not bother providing "free estimates" if you do not have the bandwidth to follow through.

I've used Investor Renovations three times now for work I needed done to my house; and every time I've been more than happy with the service and the finished product. Darrell is great. He takes the time to go over what you need done and even offers inputs and suggestions based on his experience. After meeting with him he promptly provided a thorough estimate with cost breakdowns and worked with me to help meet my budget. He has access to all types of contractors too, so it's like one stop shopping for all your home renovation needs. His team works hard and gets the job done fast, all while providing great quality work. Darrell then does a thorough check and corrects any issues he finds (even the ones you didn't notice). His team even comes back promptly to correct issues well after the work was completed and paid for! Good luck finding other contractors that do that. I strongly recommend Investor Renovations to anyone looking to having work done on their house. They raise the bar on the level of service you receive from contractors, and I wouldn't use anyone else for my home projects.

I have worked with Nunez Construction to complete projects at my home. After contacting them,…read more they reviewed each project and submitted bids that were clear and concise and included genuine timelines and start dates. They were willing to work with my schedule and met me after work and on weekends when needed. After having them pour a beautiful slab for a new hot tub, moving a ton of dirt for me, and doing some hardscape around a pool, they were able to pour an amazing driveway with textured and colored details that make it a standout in my neighborhood. They poured a concrete pad for my pool equipment and then built a beautiful retaining wall that allowed me to raise my fence and increase its functionality and aesthetic. In total, six different design-build conponents of my home were successfully completed by Nunez Construction as well as some digging and dirt removal. I have been so satisfied with their quality, work ethic, and willingness to adapt that I have recommended them to family and friends and will continue to do so.

Jose and Juan did a great job with all aspects of the job including concrete, building a wall, placement of cobble stone and demo and removal of all old material. I was able to work alongside which made process seamless for me. We also had Jose do a concrete slab in backyard for a new hot tub. We were very pleased with all aspects of his work. He was also very reasonably priced. Thelma was a joy to stay in contact with and was quick to get us estimates on proposed work.

We initially received a quote of about $7,000 for a large concrete project totaling roughly 1,100…read moresquare feet. After deciding to significantly reduce the project down to only around 354 square feet, we were surprised to receive a revised quote of $3,850 -- making the smaller project cost substantially more per square foot than the original larger job. What made this even more frustrating was that we referred our neighbors across the street to this company, and we were told the projects could potentially be poured and worked on at the same time using the same delivery and setup. Because of that, we expected the smaller project pricing to be more reasonable, not dramatically higher per square foot. We completely understand that smaller jobs can cost more due to minimum delivery fees, labor, and equipment costs, but the pricing still felt excessive for the scope of work being requested. After we declined, the quote suddenly dropped from $3,850 to $3,000, which honestly made the original price feel inflated. We felt taken advantage of. Communication was polite, but the pricing process left us uncomfortable and unsure about the fairness and consistency of the estimate. We ultimately chose not to move forward. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this company to get multiple quotes, ask for detailed written breakdowns, and compare cost per square foot carefully before committing.

After receiving my money, he stopped answering my calls. I called him countless times, and he would only answer once in a while. He eventually sent someone to my property who pretended to work for about an hour and then quietly left. There was very little progress made. After that, he stopped answering my calls and messages completely and disappeared. I requested a refund, but he no longer responded to me, whether I called or sent text messages. I later checked the contractor's license number and discovered that the license number he provided did not appear to be valid. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend doing your own research and verifying the contractor's license with the California Contractors State License Board before paying any deposit.
