This place has that perfect North Beach neighborhood bar chill and welcoming vibe, like a classy dive where you can watch the game or just chat for hours. The cocktails are next level: tried a few that tasted like grown-up root beer floats and Orange Julius vibes, super creative and balanced without being too sweet. They've got solid classics too if you're not feeling adventurous. Walls are covered in cool local SF photos and art that make it feel proudly San Franciscan. Only street parking available but there's plenty of bus lines that drop you off in ths neighborhood & there's no food served onsite, but they brought in complimentary Golden Boy pizza for the game watch party which quickly went into my stomach after downing a few cocktails. Staff was friendly and on point, and it's great for locals or anyone wanting elevated drinks without the pretension. Perfect pre-dinner spot in North Beach or for a full night out.

It was a nice day out so it was lovely to sit on their patio but the views of the water are more blocked out there than other spots in a similar location. Our waitress was friendly, but food was out quite slow for the amount of people. However, it was a Tuesday afternoon, and it seemed like there was only one wait staff, so possible minimal staffing at the time. Probably would get busy during game day. I had the blta sandwich with fries and it was decent. Bacon was cooked well, though a bit tough. Bread was sourdough and nicely toasted, and everything came together as expected. Fries were okay, I liked the addition of old bay or similar spice used but there was not enough. Salmon burger also seemed a bit skimpy on the salmon, probably only enough for half of the sandwich they give you. Prices felt high for the overall quality and portion sizes, but given the area and location, it's to be partially expected.

The service was pretty quick though and everyone was super nice! The decor is pretty cool and it's attached to a hotel. I don't come to the city often but I'd go back here!

While I did not…read moreeat here, I did stop in for an after dinner drink our first night in SF before heading back to our room. It's just so inviting, I couldn't pass it up. The decor of Chambers mirrors that of the Phoenix itself - it has a heavy music theme but is a smidge more upscale with classy wood finishes throughout the space and hundreds (if not thousands) of vinyl records lining the shelves of the perimeter. While there is an entrance for the pubic on Eddy St, you can enter through the courtyard if you're a hotel guest. In addition to the main bar/restaurant area, there is a back room which contains another bar and a large open floor with a DJ booth. I'm assuming this is a multi-use event space since the hotel hosts several artists throughout the year - it seems like a perfect spot both functionally and aesthetically speaking. I can also see private parties being held back here. When we arrived around 10pm they had finished dinner service but the bar was still open. I was feeling a cocktail, and their vodka drink was speaking to me so I went with that. It was smooth, refreshing, and so good I decided to get another. Service was fast and friendly, and overall I found Chambers a solid spot to grab a drink. Hours are limited - I think they're only open a few nights a week, but my interest has been piqued and I would love to return to try their food.

Indoors is a darker mood with ample seating and has always been clean when I am there. Technically in the tenderloin but a block down from Van Ness, so the area isn't too shady in my opinion. This is definitely a neighborhood bar cause everyone seemed to know each other. Everyone walking buy was waving to others, even an ex coworker back in the day, I saw... it's been 20 years. The place didn't feel that big. They do have a pool table and a couple of cute places to sit and have an intimate conversation. They have a parklet and a couple of tables right in front. People were nice but you can tell this place makes strong drinks, they were all pretty tipsy. They do have food, but it's very minimal, and yes it was again just the bartender having to deal with everything. They had small bar items, a small little kitchen, with an oven to make pizzas. They have a great drink menu, the specials are on the board. I had their basil daiquiri and let me tell you! Yum!! It was perfect, had great flavor.
