Recently went here with some friends! Originally we were only going to get a drink or two and then go dancing, but the ambiance and staff and drinks were too good to leave!! If I could give Next Door more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. Great drinks, great music, great games!! A special shoutout to Cameron and Matt who were so friendly and made us feel comfortable!! They were checking in on us often and gave great drink recs. The entire staff went above and beyond -- to the point where me and my friends ended up staying until closing! We stopped by Next Door before heading to Club Fugazi and it ended up being such a nice little pit stop. The vibe is really chill and welcoming and the bartender was super kind, which made the place feel even more inviting. We spent some time playing a few games and had so much fun in the photo booth. We used to live in North Beach and came to Pete's all the time. Bummed they're gone -- and REALLY bummed that Chubby Noodle is gone (they served food from Chubby Noodle at Pete's). We came to this location for many birthdays and games. Happy to see that another bar took its place. Next Door's got a great vibe! They tore down a lot of the seating (booths) against the wall and now have more high tables, a photo booth, and arcade games. Lots of plants and nice decor. They have a really long bar and multiple TVs including a giant one. It was pretty packed because of the Niners-Seahawks game, but we were able to get stools from outside to sit at the bar. We ordered a Mexican coke and two beers. While we didn't order food, there are options for starters, tacos, and a brunch menu on Sat and Sun from 11-1. They do a great job of turning on music whenever there are ads and the volume on the game when it's back on. They have water for you to get yourself so refill to your heart's desire! We'll be back to try the food. Grab a pager from Sotto Mare next door (see what I did there?) and get the "best damn Cioppino in SF" once you've had a few drinks at Next Door! read more

We had dinner in North Beach and post dinner we wanted to grab a round of drinks and we stumbled upon this bar. What drew us in was the claw machine up front which we eagerly spent $5 trying to get something and a free drink special. We got a round of shots and we then saw the skee ball and basketball machines. So we played for a bit, they have TVs, a full bar, and even serve Mexican food that looked good! You can order on the kiosk and there's plenty of space. It's tough to find parking in this area and busy streets. You can circle around and see if you're lucky or you can find a 24 hour parking lot across the police station on Vallejo street which isn't too far of a walk. Would def recommend this bar before or after dinner or golden boy pizza while you're in North Beach! read more

First time coming to this place with my partner and we really enjoyed our time here. The area itself is very clean and pretty spacious with a clean and accessible bathroom. The drinks are super yummy and strong, definitely getting your moneys worth! I quickly just want to shout out the bartender that was working last night Weds 4/29, not only was his service amazing from the interaction to the drinks he was making. Shame I didn't grab his name but ultimately I forgot my phone on top of the PacMan machine & had to take a Lyft back to look for it but sure enough the bartender had seen it and saved it for me. Newest addition to North Beach! I've stopped by Next Door about 3 times since it's opened and so happy this place opened. Great atmosphere here and people really seem to enjoy the vibe of the place. The mexican food in the back is also pretty good! Tried the birria tacos and they were pretty good! Service was pretty quick as well! We were in the area waiting for our table for dinner to be ready at a restaurant around the corner, and noticed Next Door had opened, saw the pop-a-shot machine, and knew we had to go in and check it out. In the space that was formerly Chubby Noodle, they did an amazing job remodeling this places. Lots of large TVs to watch sports games, spacious sitting areas, plenty of elevated bar area to stand and set your drinks done, really liked the vibe in here. Honestly, the pop-a-shot basketball games alone will be the reason we come here lol. Only problem is that the machine only takes card, and you have to purchase $5 at a time for 4 games. So if you plan on playing, it's a commitment to at least 4 games. They have a huge board with all their drink specials. Lots of beer and shot combos for under $14, which is a reasonable deal especially in SF. Bonus points because they have the two things I typically order, which is the topo chico hard seltzer and my go-to tequila, Espolon. They do have Mexican food options from Street Meet. Even though we were going to dinner I wanted to try their tacos with the extra hot salsa. They have a screen that you can place your order, and they'll call your number once it's ready. I got two tacos, which was $11 after tip. Came with chips and salsa. The tacos were decent. I didn't see an option to select a meat, so I'm guessing it was carne asada. I saw guy with birria tacos though, that looked really promising. Overall, I think this is a great addition to the neighborhood. Can definitely see myself watching some Warriors or 49ers games here later this year and beyond. read more

This place is such a fun surprise in North Beach! Came here with my brothers while we waited for our seats at Tony's and ended up loving the vibe. There's a nice open layout with plenty of space to relax, and the energy inside is super welcoming. The bartender was fun and friendly, and drinks were reasonably priced for the area which made everything even better. They've got a few games tucked into the back corner like skeeball, which definitely added to the fun. Clean bathrooms, big screen TVs playing the game, and ordering food from the back kiosk for some solid bar grub really rounded out the experience. It's the kind of spot where you can roll in with friends, grab a draft, kick back and just enjoy the night. I'd absolutely come back even without the Tony's Pizza wait. Not a reviewer but this place!! FIRST OFF....Skee-ball!! HELLO! Yaaaas! And other arcade games. Plenty of TVs for everyones sports ball. The atmosphere is tasteful and quaint beachy vibe. Perfect for NB and yet different from all the other bars in the area. Retro too! Name a drink and they got it. Alsooo fun drink specials. I loved the this chocolate one they had.. forgot the name but switched out the tequila for Jameson and it was DEVINE! Bartenders had a taste too and they were shocked with the delicious outcome. Love that the drink wasn't overly sweet; sweetie this ain't no candy shop!
