I'm hoping I'm a one off situation and their customer service isn't always as bad as what I have experienced. I'm also not one to typically leave a bad review but I'm hoping my situation can inform others of what they could experience when dealing with Nexcar. I purchased a vehicle from Nexcar and was able to pick it up on April 1st. I received a call the day before informing that the rear door sensor was faulty and that they wanted to fix it before I picked up. I had no issue with that and thought that was great customer service and appreciated the transparency. The seatbelt buckle was also missing the plastic casing. I was told that would be fixed as well. When I went to pick up the vehicle the seatbelt buckle was not fixed and was told I could call back and schedule a day to get it fixed (again no problem). When I was almost home (I'm about 45 mins away) the rear door sensor came back on, the one they said they fixed. I reached out to the sales person who I had dealt with from the start and he said to bring it by but I explained I wanted to come back when the belt buckle came in so my commute was more efficient. He said no problem and he would let me know when the part comes in. About a week later, no follow up was returned from Nexcar. I reached back out and the same story of "let me follow up" was made. Another week went by....no update from Nexcar. Followed up once more and again nothing. A few more days go by and he informed by the sales person that he was out of the country and that he was sorry for the delay and that he no longer works at Nexcar. He gave me the number to the mechanic and I reached out to him. No answer, so I texted him my situation and got no response. I then reach out to Nexcar's general number to see if someone else can assist. I finally get a hold of someone and he told me that before I bring the vehicle in that he would gather some information from his peers, look over the schedule, and would get back to me in a few hours. 2 days went by and nothing. So, again, I'm reaching back out to Nexcar and got a hold of someone completely new. Had to explain to them basically everything I mentioned above only for him to tell me to reach out to the mechanic ( yea, the one I mentioned early who never responded to me). I called the mechanic, left a voicemail, to then get a return text asking for a picture of the VIN. I sent a picture and got no response. Today's date is May 10th. Over a month of Nexcar just ghosting me. Extremely poor customer service on their end and in my opinion, they are purposefully not getting back to me. There is no way a business "just forgets" to get back to someone. No follow up from anyone. This makes me wonder what else is wrong with the vehicle. Super sketchy. Don't buy from them. read more

Hot garbage and rude. Poor service started at FLL with a wait of nearly an hour for a shuttle. The shuttle driver lacked any form of customer service barely making eye contact and the vehicle was dirty and just smelled old. Then we get to the location and there is a huge line. Every 15 minutes or so someone is getting mad and walking away. I had no delusion that we would have any happy service once we made it to the front of the line but for whatever reason we stayed. We rented an SUV because we needed the leg room (5'10 & 6'4) and would have long items to move around. So it was laughable when we are offered a hatchback! It reminded me of an episode of Simpsons. There's no way we were gonna limbo in and out of that car. Funny thing is a European group ahead of us wanted a hatchback but were told SUV's were the only vehicle on site? When I talked with them they told me they were being upsold this vehicle?? We go check out the SUV and I can smell funny grass as soon as I open the door. I'm in a mask and that smell is coming at me loud and clear but worker is just looking at me funny. I side eye them as I scan over the car. I notice small food pieces, minor dents and it didn't even have a full tank of gas? I was done and cancelled! At this point, NOW, they want to check for other vehicles? No thank you - cancel! Like the many that were there before me I got mad. But I'm the calmest person at all times especial when I tell you mi abuela hacia magia. Y tu abuela? I have no idea why didn't I read the space when I first noticed so many people walking away angry over an hour before. Nothing about this experience made me think that there would not be further issues. Customer service does not seem to be a priority. read more

Actual cash price was $37k + for a car advertised at $31,900. Truly a bait and switch dealership. My wife and I went in to look at an Audi S4- Saturday August 27th. Very nice sales person. Manager handed him the deal sheet- after all of 10 seconds my wife and I walked out the door after an hour drive. Their trade in numbers are horrible on top of it. They attempt to put 3 disclaimers in their adds about pricing but good luck getting the actual cash price on the phone. 2 other customers literally walked out just before us for the same reason- price pulling. Not good business practice , not fair to consumers. I'm sure they would have every excuse and justification for how the price jumped so much- none of it is acceptable. read more

I didn't buy an auto there. I had a particularity I wanted. Price was fine but my mechanic said no. I wasn't the easiest to deal with as I have a hearing loss. I would recommend that buying a secondhand auto in 2021 is a different experience. Small conflict was getting my deposit back. Communication is always recommended and I think they failed in that. All you need to do is text and give me an update. For that reason I probably won't come back. Still looking though read more

There is something fishy going on at NexCar in Oakland Park and it seems the dealership is either woefully negligent and trying the old CYA or turning a blind eye to some bad apples in the barrel. Westlake also seems to be willing to just sit back and rely on plausible deniability. I purchased a vehicle in late March of 2023 from NexCar (Oakland Park) for $38K. Agreed to finance the vehicle and put down a $5K Deposit on the spot. The finance would be arranged by NexCar through Westlake Financial. At time of purchase, NexCar assured me they would handle the admin, including setting up an automatic payment option using the financial details I had given them. Early May, I get a call from Westlake, reminding me of an upcoming payment. I respond that the dealership had setup an auto-payment. Westlake confirms the auto-payment, all is good and the call ends. A week later, another call from Westlake. Again, I explain NexCar arranged the auto-payment. Westlake rep tells me, no problem, it may just take a few days for the payment to be processed. Another 10 days pass in which I'm checking my account balance. Still no payment to Westlake. I check their website and it says I am in arrears of $1300? I call Westlake to resolve the situation, only to be told I cannot make a payment as NexCar called Westlake and instructed them to rescind the financing deal (neither NexCar or Westlake told me about this!). I head to the dealership with a certified check for the outstanding balance. NexCar rep tells me they can't take the payment - I have to work that out with Westlake. Back to Westlake I go. This time I get a helpful hand. The customer service rep takes my payment (plus late fees) and the account is back in the black. He then discovers that the autopay was never setup, despite several other Westlake reps telling me it was all good to go. More checking and he assures me no repossession orders are in force. A couple of days later I am able to setup the auto-payment option myself and make sure my account is funded to cover the next monthly payment. I contact the dealership and tell them everything is in good order. They agree and we end the call. 5 Days later, the vehicle gets towed. When I confront the tow truck driver I am told it's being repossessed for non-payment. Of course, the vehicle is full of both personal and customer belongings for which am I now out of pocket for. I check the account status online and see that everything is good standing. All payments are up to date and the next payment is not due for another 4 days. I contact the dealership and they admit that they initiated the seizure, not Westlake. I even make an additional payment to ensure the account remains in good standing. Despite several attempts to resolve the whole situation with the dealership, all I am getting is ignored, despite being out over $8,000 plus the value of whatever what is in the vehicle, plus the time and grief of being screwed over. Is there a scruple to be found at NexCar in Oakland Park? Doesn't seem like it. read more

OMG! This place is full of CRAP! Went there this morning with CASH for a car that was ADVERTISED at $11,500. We even called the bank to notify them I'd be making a large purchase today... Now get this, when they printed out the final paperwork - TAKE A GUESS how much they thought they'd get us to pay? $17,500!! In what world does a car ADVERTISED at $11,500 increase to $17,500 WITHOUT any FINANCING?? Can anyone in this line of business explain this to me? I we politely told the car insurance rep we were on the phone with we weren't going to move forward with the deal. Then we walked out! PLEASE I'm WARNING everyone avoid this place at all costs! read more

Make sure to ask about all fees before you buy. My nephew is buying his first car and I'm helping him long distance. The Prius he found online looked good, the staff was responsive and helpful, and the price looked great - $3795 for a 2007 with 145k miles. But when I asked for the price out the door, it came in nearly $2,000 higher: $5,759. Most of that was legit (I guess Florida really sticks drivers for taxes, registration, and plates), but they'd also tacked on $899 as a "pre delivery service fee". I've bought a lot of used cars but never saw that before. If I hadn't asked, my nephew wouldn't have known about it till after his test drive - and then decide on the spot whether to pay up or walk. read more

Great experience buying my car from Car Concepts. After months of researching the vehicle I wanted and locating it at Car Concepts, they contacted me, I went in for a test drive. The lot is very very clean. The vehicle was in excellent condition, to date people think I purchased a bran new car, but the vehicle is used. The cars are kept up and they have onsite mechanic and car detailing. The salesmen are very pleasant and welcoming, and so is the finance department and the manager. The reception was very welcoming. This was a great experience, and I highly recommend Car Concepts. They are trusting and sale good quality vehicles. This is my second post about this company, I really want to thank their team for an exceptional follow up on a couple issues we had with my husbands truck.You know after purchasing a used vehicle, you worry about having issues with the vehicle, right? Well, it happened but luckily Kate was absolutely outstanding in handling our issues. We purchased a Dodge Ram Postmaster and posted a review already on how professional the whole experience was, but the next day we noticed a few issues with the truck,nothing major. we had purchased a warranty but it would only kick in after 60 days, so, we contacted Kate and she asked that we come back with the truck and have it checked she was apologetic and extremely professional. When my husband went back, the Manager asked his onsite mechanic to take a look, my husband was offered a truck loaner since he needed to go back to work, he chose a vehicle according to his work. By the end of the next day, his truck was like new and ready to pickup. What I am trying to say is that any other used car dealership wouldn't go to all that trouble after a sale, NeXcar does. Every customer is treated like King, the vehicles are well kept, as soon as they are purchased and brought to the park, they are checked by their onsite mechanics, the team is professional and the prices are low.
