This place is pretty good! I have had it a few times, mostly delivery. They have a pretty extensive menu that ranges from regular pizzas to pizza with nutella on it (not my thing but I know people go nuts for that stuff!) My personal favorite is that pizza with the vodka sauce! I honestly went on the BIGGEST hunt for this and couldn't believe that it was right here in Newtown the whole time. Vodka sauce on pizza is AMAZING. (Really it is good on everything...) They also have a really long list of different kinds of fries, which you can't go wrong with. I had the pizza fries and they were really yummy. So were their regular ones. Anyway, they also have salads and hoagies, etc., which are fine, but not as good as their pizza. The service here is good too. The people are quite friendly when I come in and when I have ordered for delivery they normally come faster than the estimated time that they give. All around, it is a great local pizza place! read more

Newtown Pizza never disappoints you. Their pizza a thin pizza with a crispy crust. Similar to a Trenton Style pizza. Being a native of Trenton's Chambersburg area pizza is very near and dear to my taste buds. Exploring different pizza places in the greater Newtown area I have found a gem in Newtown Pizza. If is a quaint place with plenty of table along on side of the pizzeria and in the summer a few outside table with unbrellas. The service is always friendly and Gabe the owner makes sure he knows his regulars. There are also many other food choices on the menu - cheesestakes, meatball parm sandwiches just to name a few. Onion rings, fried mushrooms and french fries are also done to perfection. For good all around food in Newtown stop by Newtown Pizza - eat there of take it home (oh yeah delivery also) you wll be back for more. read more

We spent the day with our toddler by going to a petting zoo and park and decided to grab lunch nearby. We never ate here before but we were craving pizza and it was close. The older gentleman (owner?) and young girl working there were so friendly and sweet with our son. He is very shy normally and they were singing him songs and being sweet with him. We loved the pizza especially our toddler who ate a whole slice along with some French fries. Just the fact they were making him smile and laugh helped us have a very relaxing and easy going lunch! Thank you for the great lunch we will be back soon! read more

Lived in Newtown for 4 years before ordering pizza from here out of desperation tonight. Bottom line, don't go here. Got a veggie pizza. Construction and ratios were just fine, but this circular slab of slop had ZERO taste. Crust - no taste or chew. They skimped on the process and didn't ferment the dough long enough. Sauce - again, no taste. They must not buy fresh garlic. I'm imagining a 5 gallon bucket of old, yellow garlic powder in the kitchen that the "I don't give a f*** teenager" uses to season the sauce. It's soooo easy to make good sauce. The combo of a ton of veggies (which would normally be good) and zero taste made it almost inedible. I was starving so I dumped Szechuan peppercorns on it to numb my mouth and throat. I'm full, but I could've pounded a half loaf of wonder bread and got the same result. Owners must not care or know what Yelp is, because reviews are polarizing. The positive reviews are probably from the local dopes that grew up in Newtown and don't know good pizza. Later. read more

I ordered buffalo wings and they were extremely dry. I couldn't even take a bite out of them. It appeared as though they were reheated which may have been why they were extremely dry. If you want to eat buffalo wings I suggest you go somewhere else to order them. read more

When it comes to pizza, loyalty to a geographic region's tomato pie comes close to fanaticism. It is completely understandable that raging debates about whether Brooklyn or Pittsburgh or Trenton or Philly or some little shop on the wild streets of South Boston make the best pie. But, the wise peacemakers among us know the secret - they are all the best if you love them. So much better to put aside parochial claims of superiority and just eat them all! Even the worst is so much better than what those poor souls have to accept as pizza in Colorado or some other state with altitude. Just mange and enjoy. Let your oralgasms carry you away... Newtown Pizza makes a decent pizza, but it will never be mistaken for an escapee from Napoli nor Roma, let alone Brooklyn Heights nor Chambersburg. Yet, walking by the display counter with all the attractive pies can set your glands a-squeezing, and the Trenton Pie is very aesthetically pleasing to the eye and tongue. The crust holds the weight of the toppings firmly, perhaps because it is a bit thicker than Romana, and the ingredients are top shelf. Still, the overall taste sensation is not the transcendent experience of my favorite pizza shrines. Nonetheless, it is a standup slice worthy of consumption. The Eggplant Parm is not always prime, as I have found it to be tough chewing at times. The same goes for the steak sandwiches. Mostly a good fill, but occasionally a little under or over grilled. Just enough to keep you guessing. Friendly ownership, staff and crew, and a good citizen in the community. As offered at the top, to each his/her own when it comes to pizza. For those of us who love Ntown Pizza, the world is your oyster. Chow down close to home. For the others of us who have different pizza needs, we know where to go to satisfy them, both near and far. 8.27.13 I just had a couple of great slices of Newtown Pizza's Margarita Pie. Really excellent. I like a slightly charred crust because it tends to be crunchy and supportive of the weight above it. This one was, with a mildly sweet sauce and fresh mozza, doctored with a light dusting of hot chili pepper flakes. Take a look at the photo. It was as good as it looks. Keep it up fellas and cinco estrellas could be close at hand. read more

Pretty good pizza. Space felt very cozy. They served us lemon water which was nice. Service was very attentive, always asking how is the food and if we needed anything. Reasonable prices too. Also they have a very extensive menu. We just got a chicken vegetable slice and a slice of the Sicilian pizza and they all had the right amount of sauce and cheese. read more

don't know who they have managing this place but the manager I talked to last night was one of the rudest people I have ever talked to. They sent us the wrong pizza. Ok it happens. I called they said it was gonna take another 45 minutes for the pizza and I have to give them back the wrong pizza. Which Imo is gross. I said the wait is unacceptable and he said well do you want me to send you an undercooked pizza. They should be ashamed of themselves read more

Okay sorry I really wanted to like this place, I drove by it several times and fell in love with the old stone building and hanging lights outside. I was hoping for the same type of decor inside. I walked in and BAM! its just another pizza place, with the old time table cloth, plain white walls and the initial feeling was unclean. I had a piece of Sicilian pizza and my friend had a piece of buffalo chicken pizza. The crust to the Sicilian was lite but the cheese and the sauce were nothing to write home about. the chicken pizza had an attractive swirl of buffalo sauce but it was not enough and it lacked chicken. Curious about the sauce I ordered mozzarella sticks with sauce. The sticks did not taste fresh and the sauce had no flavoring. I was not impressed. I was just expecting more from a restaurant in Newtown. I must say though the young adults working there are very nice and professional and the service was excellent. I will not be returning. read more

I've never dined in Newtown Pizza, this is solely on delivery experience. I asked for a simple order of 4 large pizzas, came exactly the time I asked and the pizza was piping hot and the cheese was gooey. I was a fan! Keep it up read more

Ordered a pizza and appetizer for delivery on Thursday night at 430. I was told 30-40 minutes. Seemed about average amount of time for delivery. I live a few blocks from the restaurant, literally a 2 minute drive, so when an hour plus had gone by and the family was screaming about how hungry they were, I picked up the phone to call back. Just then the driver arrived. He handed me the food and I handed him the money. I gave him $40 for the 24 dollar order. He looked at me and asked if I wanted change. While I always tip, 16 dollars or 67% seemed excessive so I said yes. He looked at me and said "I don't have any change". Who sends their driver out without change? He went to his car and scraped up 5 bucks. Rather than make my family endure god knows how much longer of a wait to eat, I took the 5 and let him leave with an 11 dollar tip. I go inside and the order is completely wrong. It is a pizza with toppings (I ordered plain) and rather than appetizer sampler, it was french fries. WTF. The driver then knocked at the door and took the food back and brought our correct order from his car. The pizza was cold and rubbery, something that made Domino's seem like a delicacy, and the appetizer sampler contained a handful of fries, a mozzarella stick, 2 jalapeno poppers and a few fried mushrooms. Hardly a sampler. All in all it was the best meal I had from Newtown Pizza - because it was my last. read more

Great food, pizza was okay crust was nice and crispy. I recommend the Italian wedding soup I like that it was homemade and not salty. Also the Greek Salad was so good! Great place to take your kids for dinner read more

Growing up in New Jersey, affords me with the ability to know good pizza, and Newtown Pizza makes good pizza. Usually in PA the pizza crust is too thick and the sauce too sweet. Neither is true of the pizzas here. They do have other good dishes as well. The eggplant parm is nice, however is not served with a pasta side rather a large, by my standards, side salad made up of hearty spring mix instead of boring romaine. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed. read more

My boyfriend and I are huge fans of the buffalo chicken pizza. The pizza is huge and although the crust could have been a bit crispier, I really like the taste of the pizza. There wasn't too much sauce, enough chicken and the Caesar dressing was perfect! I don't know why California pizza places don't hop on that Caesar, ranch, whatever dressing on top of the pizza! read more

I have had their pizzas and are very good But tonight I ordered a veal parmigiana sandwich. The worst sandwich I ever had. $10 for pressed veal coated with bread crumbs. The food was very good as usual, but it unfortunately seems the portions are getting smaller. It had been a while since I've been to Newtown pizza, and when I returned this time I was a little disappointed. I spent $30 on two Buffalo Chicken Cheese Steaks and two orders of fries, and the steaks just had way too little meat inside them, compared to my prior experiences here. read more

The food is OK. Usually have an OK experience picking up. But having to wait 25 minutes for a couple order of wings is just ridiculous.

Have been ordering from here for about a year now. So far so good. I really like their bbq chicken pizza. And cheesesteaks. Everything that has been ordered has been perfect and tasted fresh and not cold by the time it's delivered. I have also stopped in to eat with some of my coworkers who were working in the area and service was fast and friendly. The only real "issue" is that delivery can seem to be quite a bit of a wait usually in the 45-60 minute range and that's on all times of afternoon/ evening placement of orders. Completely understand if it's a Friday or game day Sunday. Either way the wait is worth it and my kids like the pizza and they are very picky. Have only had some of the specialty pizzas and cheesesteak not sure how the actual dinners are but very happy customer. read more

BAIT & SWITCH! We took the kids for a Sunday family meal. The waitress took our order, the Sports Special @ $44.99, as listed on the menu. Five minutes later the waitress came back told us the manager said we could not have sports special that was for carryout only. The waitress agreed; this was not listed in the menus terms and conditions on the menu but the manager wouldn't let her charge us the special price. We ended up ordering the exact same thing as the special ...for double the price. Total rip-off not to mention illegal. read more

This is our pizza spot for delivery. Usually pretty quick. Have had some issues but seems normal for pizza delivery. Food is good.

This place not only has some of the best food around town, but the staff and owners are super friendly and treat you like family. Besides pizza, you have to try their Gyro platter! The plate is huge (all their portions are big)...when I get it, it's so delicious you won't be able to stop eating it...so come hungry but don't expect to eat another meal as you will be super full by the time you leave! I wish I could give them more then 5stars..quality, fresh ingredients, friendly atmosphere and top notch staff...if you haven't been...make it a point to go and order your favorite dish...this spot will become a favorite for your family too! read more

THE OWNER HUNG UP. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AWFUL. Don't give them your money!!!! Multiple families in our neighborhood order from here every Friday night. Their food has been great. We have had a few problems with deliveries recently and were hoping it was a fluke. We called to place our order and when we gave our phone number that had our address in their system. We got some neighborhood families together for a Mother's Day night (10 kids). After an hour and a half we called to check on our order. We were told that the system went down and they didn't know how to contact us....except they had our phone number and address. We were told they could put our order through now but they needed our credit card info. We were never given the courtesy of a phone call telling us that the system was down. As a common courtesy, customer service you would like to think they would make right on their error. So we asked to speak to the manager. The manager argued with us and said there was nothing he could do. We asked for the owner. The owner screamed at us and told us that it wasn't their fault. When we asked if this was the way they treat long time customers he told us he would give us 15% off or nothing. When we argued that at this point we have had 3 families and a large order waiting and they should make it right, he hung up on us. Great way to handle your customers. They have lost the business of 5 families. Shame on you!!! read more

There's a lot of pizza places in Newtown .. we've tried them all. Newtown pizza is the best pizza around!

If you thought you have had a good Buffalo Chicken Cheese steak or your all philly and you know your shi*, well think again because their buff chic is theeee best in the business. Crispy roll as in perfectly toasted roll, buff sauce is the bomb and the blue cheese sets it off. No where else makes a better buff chic. Oh and their pizza is banging too. read more

I'm cheating on Marco's while they rebuild after the fire, so I was happy to find that Newtown Pizza has good pizza and a great value. $2.50 for giant slices. Friendly staff brought our pizza to our table. Delicious garlic knots. We tried two different specialty slices and their plain slices. Crust: Crispy thin crust with cornmeal. Good texture but no flavor. Would benefit from more salt in the dough and a day or so for the rise. Sauce: Too raw. I don't like overly sweet tomato sauces but this wasn't cooked long enough and didn't have much depth of flavor. Garlic would help a lot and so would more olive oil. Cheese: Fine. They have buffalo mozzarella on some specialty slices. read more

Great pizza and a wonderful staff. It gets busy on the weekends but worth the wait. I'm usually there once a week.

We've enjoyed the Florentine pizza best. The rest is so-so but Florentine is white with ricotta, olive oil, spinach, garlic, cheeses. I'd say 7 out of 10 times was excellent! The other few times were lousy bc bread was stale. The florentine is $20 a large pizza, which isn't cheap but worth it if that's what your craving. read more
