THE BEST!!! This is how I will start my review. My girls…read morestarted coming here, if I'm not mistaken, 6 years ago. They give parents 3 hours every time you drop off your babies there. We always have an AUsome experience! Given that my Miracle is on the Spectrum, their volunteers see to it that her needs are well taken care of everytime she's there at the foundation. If she wants to write a story on the white board, then the volunteer who's with her will do it. They play together, they play with puzzles, playdoh and other kind of sensory play. And as she grows older, she added to join their "outings" like going to a movie, playing golf, going to parks and a lot more. Same with my Lucky, she goes on the other side of the facility where she plays with kids the same age. They don't want to go home anymore because they're having so much fun. People here become their friends and family! What is RAVE OR NNRFF?? R.A.V.E. Respite And Volunteer Experience. NNRFF Northern Nevada Rave Family Foundation. The mission of the Northern Nevada R.A.V.E. Family Foundation (RAVE) is to improve the well-being of Nevada families by providing respite to families caring for young and adult children and with special needs. RAVE a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization accomplishes this by training youth volunteers to care for these exceptional children. RAVE currently has three respite programs available in order to accomplish this mission (1) RAVE Family Center, (2) Jr. RAVE and (3) Teen RAVE.

This business offers guided tours of their organic biblical garden as well as local and online…read moreclasses on how to build your own organic garden. All pre-registration and fees are handled via their website only and must be processed a minimum of 1 week prior to the event. The tours incorporate the Gospel stories that begin with Genesis and ends in Revelation while pointing out biblically named foods and plants that are nestled among herbs, medicinals, flowers, fruit, vegetables, annuals and perennials as well as sun and shade plants that grow in zone 7. Both local and online classes teach about building and planting raised and container organic garden beds in less than two hours. Other local classes cover seed collecting, seed propagation, sprouting, building raise beds, harvesting herbs, brewing teas, making sachets, assorted cooking classes and more. The tours run in May, July and September and the local classes run in April, June, August and October on Fridays and Saturdays only. Because so many younger tourists have loved picking flowers, walking through beds, and ignored adult authority, they regret that they have had to make a rule that children under the age of 5 (five years old) are not permitted. No smoking, alcohol, indecent attire or foul language will be allowed. The grounds are 75% handicap-able. One entire side of the garden does not have access to wheel chairs, although it can be seen from both ends. During the tours there are contests, games, refreshments and surprises. All tours and classes are about 1 (one) fun filled, educational, and spiritually enlightening, hour long.

Our son has been going to TKA for a couple of years now and it was the right choice for us. We're…read moreso glad that there's a school close to us that not only teaches kids academics but also teaches them moral lessons which I think is the most important. The staff here are great too. They do care about the kids and are very attentive to their emotional and academic needs. One thing that is amazing as well is that it's a small school so the staff knows pretty much all of the children. Ms. Angie and Mrs. Baeckel greet each kid by name and their families during drop offs and pick ups every single day- rain or shine. We really appreciate the extra care and attention because you know they're safe having two pairs of watchful eyes to see who comes in and out of the property. My son also is learning so well. His reading I think is advanced and they teach them how to write in cursive at a young age too. He's made lots of friends and even the parents know each other and are connected as well. I don't think you will get that in a big/public school. We are happy that we enrolled our child here. We will stay for a while.

The King's Academy is an absolute treasure! We are so incredibly thankful to be sending our son…read more(and in a couple of years our daughter as well) to this school! We did a lot of research before deciding where to begin kindergarten, and toured several schools, hoping to find one that stood out above the rest. The King's Academy is it. I can't imagine a better place for an excellent Christian education in the Reno/Sparks area. The staff are wonderful. The teachers are so amazing, experienced, loving, compassionate, and we really can feel how much they truly care for our son. He is having the most wonderful experience. I can honestly say that since my son began attending The King's Academy, he has come into his own genuine, authentic faith. He loves God, he knows God better, he asks so many great questions. Best of all, he tells me all the time now "I love you so much Mom, but I love God more." It is such a comforting feeling to have the utmost confidence in both the quality of the academics, as well as the spiritual environment of the school. We love the smaller class sizes and greater level of attention that the teachers are able to pay to each student, and therefore their enhanced ability to tailor the education to each child's unique needs. I attend chapel every week (parents and families are always welcome to join the students there) and absolutely love it! I love seeing the children having a great time and also receiving such quality, Christ-centered Biblical teaching. It's wonderful. There have been so many times that, unprompted, my son will ask me "Mom, can I please keep going to King's Academy all the way to 8th grade? I love it there!" What more could you want to hear from your child? We cannot recommend The King's Academy enough, it is one of the best decisions we've ever made for our children.
