Ever have those red flags that pop into your mind and you ignore them? I am pushing 61 this year. I am disabled, but my mind still works. This past Friday I met the guys from "New South Window Solutions of Sarasota" Brett the "Corporate Trainer" was training this "African" guy. Yes, I thought "Aussie", he corrected me. So, this it how it started: The old bait and switch! On Friday this guy's boss (Brett Ray, the corporate trainer) wrote a contract for 13K for the patio door replacement. They made a mistake on the contract, they forgot to include the discounts (the discounts weren't applied, yet the contract showed the total being $13421.00 for 6/8 French doors, hurricane rated.) On Monday the trainee returned. To make a long story short he raised the price up 10K to a total of 23K. The sales guys said it was because the opening was 96X72, so therefore would cost more. The original contracted clearly stated 6/8 which is, let's do the math: 6X12=72 8X12=96. Nothing changed except them raising their price. Horrible! The installation was went well. Until my sliders all fogged up back in 2019. One was fogged first then slowly the rest. My window cleaning co. Thought was seal. Called New south windows since 2019 until today January 2025! Sent about 6 groups of technicians all saying yes need to be replaced. They used every excuse under the sun then delays the technician have to come back for others quit and no notes on prior visits. End results now they have new product and not sells this windows anymore . Oh and we don't have the receipt on record!!! Seriously worst ever. Do NOT use this company!! Part of our contract included screens for our exterior sliding glass doors. All plans were originally submitted and approved through our HOA but upon install, there were no screens. It has now been over a year of back and forth with this company. First stating we did not order screens although it is clearly stated in 2 areas of our contract, then stating we didn't have the correct tracks for the screens. Something that is an error on their part. Now we are told the HOA will not approve the screens because of the adjustments they would need to make to the track. The screens were included in our original contract and price that was paid. Bad customer service and nothing but issues. Will never use again and will never recommend this company! read more

We contracted New South of Bonita Springs for impact windows in June 2023. the installation took place in September 2023. the dining room window was cracked so was reordered numerous times. I spoke to Pat Ryan in December and was told when your inspection is complete give me a call and I will make it right. I called May 2024, he was no longer at New South, Brian Wood the new manager has not returned my calls. The best thing about New South are there sales people, after you contract for the windows customer service and accountability are non existent and they do not return your phone calls. read more

So my saga continues. I've gotten the "response" from the alleged business owner as I see all others have gotten but nothing is ever actually done. Just to give bullet points of what has happened, Ordered windows and paid a $14000 down payment in March 2021 - told that because they are the mfg. no supply chain issues and windows will be installed by August 2021. August comes and goes and we are told we will be notified when windows are complete. My partner gets cancer and we decide to buy a ranch home, we phone the company in September and tell them that we would need to cancel. We are told that the windows are finished so will have to pay for them regardless, so we agree to have them installed. They come at the end of October with 4 incorrect windows and only a few screens. They do the install of the correct windows and try and convince me that I ordered two of the windows stationery, however, I should them the original paperwork that clearly stated the windows should open. They convince me to accept one of the stationery windows and to let them install the other u til they can get the correct window. The large upstairs patio door was made incorrectly so they couldn't install that one. They brought no screens for my great room patio door so I had to go for months without being able to keep the door open. They leave debris all over. The great room window has a flaw inside the glass. One of the screens is torn. In the meantime - they phone me several times a day to attempt to force me to sign paperwork releasing the financing, because in their words " most of the work is done" - I refuse and I am told by Cory the production manager that since I am refusing - they are putting my work on hold. In the meantime - they are well aware that we are traveling to Tampa for cancer treatments at Moffit and really don't need this type of added stress - do your job correctly and we would gladly pay what is owed. Months later we get them to put in the other door but still no screen for my great room. I didn't notice until after they were gone and I was trying to clean up but the door is severely damaged and the installer put big globs of caulk in it and now I just have a dirty caulked mess. I phoned and was told the techs would look at it when they came. We finally get the inspection, even though one window is not correct. We then have to wait until March 4th for them to come to "finish" the work. I show them the defect in the glass, the ripped screen and the caulk nightmare. They agreed that it was all bad but said they could only fix the screen and would report the defects to the company. They then told me they didn't have the right materials and just left, without telling me or letting me know what was going on. They also left materials laying in the commons area of the lawn at my condo. And they left a total mess. The screen they fixed now does not unlock and we can't get it to open. The tech also told me that they sent the incorrect screen for the other door but he couldn't do anything about it. In the meantime, another guy came to install the correct bathroom window. He too abruptly left without letting me inspect. He left a sticker on the outside of the top window, which is over 30 ft up. He also somehow destroyed my bathroom wall when he removed the incorrect window. We are now mid March, so one year later and I still don't have my project complete. This is a 50k window job and I would expect a bit more professionalism from this company. I should be getting a discount based on the damages they have caused, the less expensive window they left me with, the time they wasted and the stress they have placed on us. You people have one job and if you cannot do it properly maybe you should rethink your position in this industry. It seems that over the past year or so your customer service has gone down the drain. There are more stories like mine than success stories. These people do not address your issues and should not be trusted with making improvements to your biggest investment, your home read more

I'll keep this short. we had our windows installed in May 2023 two of which were damaged. the installers were excellent and ordered the replacements which were to be in at the end of June. It's September and no windows. We ordered with the Bonita Springs location and have been making numerous attempts to contact our sales person, Matt, the warehouse contact Sergio, as well at the corporate number who gave us nore people who wouldn't call us. Absolutely the most awful customer service. This company should be ashamed!!!! read more

very poor quality i ordered 19 windows with installation 4 windows have the green film damaged which we noted also had a window that came completely cracked and they still installed it. , 3 months since the install no one has contacted us about replacing it, also they broke 3 marble window sills took them 2 months to fix, we still dont have county final inspection so i have all the inside of winodw screws exposed and molding in the living room, they do not have installers as they shop for the cheaps installers not employeed by them. i will upload phots soon. stay way and find another compny they have poor customer service also as theywant to get paid without the work being completed i just paid so they dont say they have have gotten the money but they are a rippoff. stay far away go with pgt windows a little more expensive but less headaches i still have another 11 windows 1 single door and 4 sidling doors and a double door to do but not with them i will use pgt. richard gonzalez read more

We contracted with New South to enclose the lanai with windows and a large door slider. We were told in the contract 8 to 10 weeks. It was built torn down built again windows broken in the process. Major issues with Manatee County inspectors. Job passed inspection 15 MONTHS after it began. Disgusted beyond belief with the company and their process. Would definitely not recommend them read more

This is what happens when a company culture comes off the rails. Profits and sales first.. Execution and delivery second. Customer, dead last. Check out all of these reviews on Google and ask yourself if this company is worth doing business with. Again, look at the rest of the reviews. This is a culture/management/owner problem. TOTAL INCOMPETENCE. AVOID!!!! 1. Months behind stated schedule. Many months. 2. Delivered wrong size doors. 28" were on the sheet, 26" delivered. 3. When correct doors arrived, (months later) installed upside down. 4. Door fit, poor. 5. Stucco repair person - No show. Scheduled for Saturday. 6. Notice of commencement paperwork error caused cancellation and reschedule of our mortgage re-finance. 7. Stucco repair, sloppy. 8. Had to chase scheduler almost every step of the way.--AND STILL WAITING! 9. Schedulers dropped the ball almost every step of the way. 10. Installed windows improper. MANY fasteners MISSING 11. Multiple incorrect, non code compliant fasteners used for hinges and windows. 12. FAILED INSPECTION! 13. Pricing: buy two get one free = bogus. VERY HIGH PRICES. No pricing transparency. Did I mention VERY HIGH PRICES? 14. Clean up.. Hardly tried. 15. Service tech came out to correct issues. It took 3 hours to correct issues that caused inspection failure. There were many. THREE HOURS! He did not have a proper door seal with him, so yet ANOTHER appointment had to be set up! 16. While correcting fastener issues, he used a large tap con to seat the door deadbolt. The deadbolt would not close. This was noticed after he left. When the correct screw was put in the door, it did not fit due to large screw damaging door. 17. When service crew came to finish up again, to do caps and plugs they forgot the proper door seal...And need to come back AGAIN! 18.---reserved for the continuation of this saga. Wrote a review a few weeks ago. Several of the windows that were installed by New South a few years ago have gas leaks. Supposedly, there is a lifetime guarantee to correct issues. Someone came out May 31st and was to order new glass from the original measurements. I last called them in mid August to inquire about the status. I was told by Tammy that they are late but will have them by the end of August. It is October 5th and have heard from no one since my August call. We had problems with installation in 2015 and their guarantee to correct does not seem much better. read more

I cannot recommend this company. They were to install a window and a 3 pane door for my elderly mother. Measurements were taken and the agreement was signed on May 5. According to the agreement, the work was to be completed within 12-16 weeks. This agreement was not itemized in any way. It only included the amount for 3 payments and the total for (1) window and (1) door ($12,000). After numerous attempts to contact the business, the window only was installed (@153 days). No one from this company attempted contact during the 153 days to explain the delay. The only attempts to make contact were made by my mother. When she was able to make contact, messages were left but rarely returned or the individual on the phone was uncooperative, especially the manager Steve Lambert. 10 days after the window was installed, they attempted to install the door only to find it would not fit without having a contractor involved. The door space was measured by 2 different people 2 different times. In a nutshell, this job was overpriced, it took so long that the permit had expired and they were extremely unprofessional. read more

They came out to my house and showed me the different types of windows, how they work, and explained how efficient they are. I also love the fact that they are manufactured in Tampa! We are 12 weeks into waiting after being assured our doors would be installed prior to the holidays purchased in August. Suddenly after attempting to get a status update we were informed that we needed to contact our salesman??? In doing so we found he was/ is holding an addendum to the contract and can't seem to find the time to bring it by or mail it or fax it?? We have been waiting for three weeks now for this salesman to come out with this addendum but communication is horrible and support from the office is non-existent!! We are regretting ever have had anything to do with this company and you should be sure all promises and statements are in writing on the contract as it is a vague language all in the companies favor (read the fine print) have an escape clause if promises aren't kept. it says"They are not responsible for delays" even if it is because their salesman can't get to you in a timely manner. Save yourself a lot of money, aggravation and time buy going elsewhere!!! read more

New South Windows has just completed the installation of our 6 impact windows and they passed inspection and they are now coming out Monday to put the finishers on the windows. If you are lucky enough to have Rob assigned to your project, I can vouch you will be very satisfied. Thanks Rob for a great job and for being one of the first in Cape Coral, FL to do a video Cape Coral inspection. The City of Cape Coral does not want to put their inspectors in danger with so many cases of COVID 19 so they have created a video inspection with the vendors for all inside the home inspections. Rob came to our house and did the inspection with his cell phone and the Cape Coral Inspector on the line. I was there for the entire inspection and I was impressed by the thoroughness of the inspector as well. Only one minor thing was found, a drilled screw hole was missing its screw. If Rob wasn't there, it would have prevented it passing. Easy enough, Rob installed the missing screw on the spot and went on to pass the inspection of the Cape Coral Inspector. New South, you have a very valuable asset with Rob working for you! read more

I was really surprised when I saw the negative reviews on Yelp. We had NewSouth install windows for us this month, and have nothing but positive to say. The only problem we had, was our trapezoids weren't ready when the rest of our windows were, but they went ahead and installed the rest of our windows, and returned to install the trapezoids as soon as they were available! The machine that manufactures the trapezoids had broke down, so this was beyond anyone's control. They showed up when they were supposed to, cleaned up after themselves, and followed up with us when the job was done. I was hoping I could give a first hand account on how they held up during Hurricane Dorian, but it appears as if this storm will bypass us now, so will have to wait for the next hurricane to rear it's ugly head! In case you'd like to deal directly with a sales rep, we used Jon Tepper. We had bronze windows before, and I was really leery about putting white windows in, but as you can see, they turned out beautifully! Thanks for the recommendation Jon! We contracted with New South Windows on 9/27/17 to replace all the windows, sliders and entry doors to our home. We were assured by the salesman the job would be done in 12-14 weeks. That was 161 days ago (23 weeks) and the job is not completed. They left an uninstalled slider frame, panel and trim on the back patio over five weeks ago and have not returned to finish the job. We also had our double entry door miss ordered so they were finally installed last Friday. However, they did not trim out the opening and we can't get an answer as to when they will return to do so. We have had the production manager (John), one of the company partners (Steve), and a trouble shooter (Todd) out to the house with many promises but no results. The product is excellent quality, the installation that has been done was done well, but the management of this company is horrible. I would recommend that any potential buyer get a completion time agreed to in writing so they can have some legal recourse if New South does not perform within the agreed time frame. read more
