When somebody asks me if I'd recommend a company or a company's product, I pretty much always tell them to ask me again in a few years and/or after something goes wrong. Well, something did go wrong. Something broke the outer pane of a window on the front of our house. I contacted Window World, provided the documentation and pictures, then waited about 3 weeks. Guess what happened then (today in fact)? Ryan with Window World showed up with a brand new window pane and replaced the broken window. Done. THAT is how you treat your customers if you want to get referrals and good references. If you are shopping for hurricane windows and sliding glass doors, Window World is an EXCELLENT choice and they have my full and complete recommendation. read more

I had purchased a Door in February 2025. It is now October 2025 and there are still problems which have warenteed 12 visits weekly and by weekly. Water infiltration 4 areas. Complete Door removal and reinstalled rather than giving me a new door. Never a option given,continuous failed repairs. Initially 3 mechanics than 3 more mechanics which 1 mechanic working on this project for 2 months when he's available. He said here's my cell number call or text me im assuming because I was calling the office every 3 days and when I asked for a specific person I recieved false information for scheduling. Rumored me because every time the mechanic comes he's coming from another project so it cost the company consistent loss of funds. The owner was not available for months. This is October 28th. Tried reaching the mechanic who took over this project who is not returning calls or text for 2 weeks. I have a new contact in the office im calling again due to no response from the present mechanic. She is scheduling him to come back as im speaking now with the office scheduling department. 9 months of aggravation and my time baby sitting when they were here. My time has been a average of 4 hours per visit totaling 48 hours so far. I was in construction as a senior vp project manager interior retro fits,i never in all my time in construction ever ever seen such a circus, i would havebeen terminated after the vendor failed the second time very sad results here!!!. The start of this process was a salesman who told me how great the company is and how long they have been in business. When I was ready to sign he tried to get more money from than said he's sorry made a mistake. I signed for the door and complete installation. When I started having problems he never responded to texts or phone messages. When I left a message to get a price for a window he told me$1,500. When he finally called back because it was another sale for him. I called the main office and they agreed the price was obserd,so the correct price was $1,000.00 this window leaked as well and took 3 0mechanics visits to re seal 3 x,s. So in liue of my wonderful experience if you're a masochist go for it with window depot. I hope other dissatisfied coustomers would check and re submit there dissatisfied experiences. Purchased and installed windows for my condo (Not the cheapest window Company). Their installers are 1099 contractors and very unprofessional. The window, upon installation, started leaking. They came out numerous times to fix the issue, and every time, they sent different people/ contractors to check on it and claimed they had fixed the issue. The issue was never fixed! They recently re-installed the window and made some adjustments but now it is worse. Anytime it rains, water comes into the unit, and the drywall and the baseboards and window trim are damaged. We had all windows replaced in 2023. They were extremely professional and handled everything from start to finish. They installed earlier than expected. These windows were put to the test with both hurricane Helene and Milton. Not one drop of water came in - and we were on the beach in Siesta Key! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. read more

BUYER BEWARE..... I would not recommend this company to anyone!!!!! I know this review will be an little lengthy however; I feel consumers should know how this company conducts business. The Window Depot, makes the person that signed for the order the only person responsible. Their designers or employees are held to no standard or responsibility if something is wrong because someone else signed for the order to be placed. We spent over 70k in PGT impact rated windows and sliders with the window depot. The master slider was designed incorrectly and does not open as it should. The window depot designed a 2 track when it should have been a 3-track system, then placed the door that was to be open starting from the left as an stationary door. So, we have a 2 track system that only allows for 1 panel of space to come in and out instead of 2 panels of space. I ended up speaking with Sana the VP of Operations, however come to find out she is the wife of the owner. Sana, herself would not acknowledge that her own employee messed up and blamed it on others. Below you will see email comments directly from Sana the Window Depots VP of operations. This company does not conduct business in an honest fashion. I am very sorry I keep missing you calls. I have been short staffed filling in for a few people in the office while trying to do my job of running the company so I have been swamped to say the least. PGT product specialist responded that we would have to order a new 3 track frame, 1 panel, and a few components while using the two panels and rest of hardware and accessories to get you the door configuration you wanted. While this may cost you more money it is the most cost effective and fastest way to resolve the problem at hand. I'm still waiting on the price from PGT but I wanted you to know where we stood. Also I am happy to provide free installation for the door once everything comes in to help you out. Let me know if you have any questions. disappointing to say the least. we had one good experience with them but this time- 1 star is too much. called 1 hour before installation after setting aside 2 days and said they couldn't come- then called and said they could install in one day with extra crew. my husband is recovering from major surgery so really needed to get this done so we would have hurricane proof windows and doors. I realized they installed the wrong doors and wrong hardware. they called back and said they would order the correct ones and get new hardware. they are supposed to come tomorrow. I have texted and left a message to see if they are coming and finish replacing the wrong doors, wrong hardware, covering the screws, replace the trim..... exhausting to work with them. I suggest checking the Better Business Bur. not great reviews there- sad there are companies like this . Especially when we were in such a recovery period and really needed help. read more

We had a window installed and it leaked. It ruined the wall, outlet and rugs in that room. They refused that it was their window. It took 2 professionals to tell them it was their product. Even after that it took a year and a half to replace the window. Then I was told they would come back and fix up my walls. However that has not been done. Now no one will return my phone calls or messages now I have to pay for a person to fix what was messed up by them. read more

I was looking to have hurricane protection screens installed over all of our home windows and contacted The Window Depot for an estimate. Mitch came out as scheduled, did the walk through, quoted a number that was higher than we were budgeting for. After talking further he made a call to the owner and we were able to sign a contract that fit our budget. This was mid Oct 2018 with an estimated install in 6 to 8 weeks. By mid Nov they had a crew out to the house installing the coverings. The only hitch was that the factory and omitted 2 small coverings for the bathroom windows. The company took care of getting them ordered and had an installer out before the end of the year. Great product, great service, will recommend them anytime! Special thanks to Mitch for getting us a fair price and to Carrie for the many followup calls regarding scheduling and installation. Huge thanks and kudo's to Jeffery T. He's the installer that came out to put in the mountings for the bathroom windows and wound up going over the entire house. I'll never use The Window Depot only for this reason. Just now as I was working from home I heard a loud knock on my door that wouldn't stop. I answered to find a plain dressed women, nothing to identify herself try to sell me windows in our non solicitation neighborhood. I politely told her I wasn't interested and was working and couldn't be bothered. She literally laughed out loud and said " oh I'm sure you can't be bothered." I had four vendors come out and give me a pitch. While Window Depot was not the cheapest, we felt their product was the best for the money. We split the install over about a year and a half, so we could budget everything, and they were perfectly fine with that. 10 windows, 4-8 ft. sliders and a set of French Doors. We finished the project this Feb 18. Window Depot was always up front with their pricing, always very responsive to my inquiries, and when things changed over time--very willing to work with us to resolve issues. The installers did a great job--cleaned up very thoroughly each evening, and I enjoyed working with them. Bathroom window were ordered wrong three months ago. I ordered obscure windows for the bathroom. It came unobscured. Who orders a bathroom window unobscured? Had back French doors replaced. They ordered the wrong size. It's been since August and still the bathroom window sits unfinished. I've also called many times and was told they would call me back. I have yet to receive one call back. Customer service is not at the top of their priorities. They have been giving me the run around for the last three months!!!! we ordered an entire house full of impact rated windows. we wanted the grids on the exterior and horizontal only to keep the original Jalousie style window look of the house. Sam at The Window Depot came out, delivered the best price of the bids we received. the installation was great. yes, there were a couple issues with the grids but they have been all over it! they even pointed out an issue and resolved to fix it. no leaks during the hurricane. The thing that separated them from the other companies were how thorough they were in doing the estimate asking us alot of questions to make sure that we knew the options and what we were getting. The other thing was how good the installers were. We contracted for our entire house, windows and doors. Everyone was courteous and handled a large project with care. The installers were excellent, cleaned up, and left everything as I would expect. There were some issues with the factory (to be expected from time to time) but The Window Depot stood behind everything and made it right. Signed contract 9.1.16 then had new Simonton Impact window installed 11/2016 by Window Depot. It leaked since day one and they can't seem to fix it. Initially it was a bad install as I could see daylight looking from inside house around frame. Horrible caulking job among other things. They have been out at least 7 times to try and fix leaks, but can't get it right. I have an exposed block wall inside my home that cannot be patched up until window leak is fixed. Not very pleasing to the eye. I have water infiltration everytime it rains. Good thing it is block or there would potentially be hazardous mold growth. I HAD TO try and get manufacturer involved for help, but said it was installers fault and gave suggestions as to a fix. I passed them along and they implemented, but still it leaks. To be fair, I travel and there have been scheduling gaps, but they have had ample time to get it correct and they have "tried". I filed a complaint with BBB requesting full refund of monies on 7.26.17. In my opinion and from what I can tell, it is a small company with limited installers and quality workers. I almost always had to clean up after they worked. UPDATE: The owner has gotten involved and it has been a positive experience so far. All parties are working to identify the leak and fix it. UPDATE: Window above replaced window identified as leaking. Customer/me caulked window extensively and then water tested. Still minor leak right corner. Recaulked at corner and below actual window. After numerous calls and e-mails have not had anyone call back to seal the deal. Why are these guys in business? You give a competitive $ and then don't call a customer back? I just had new sliding glass doors installed by The Window Depot and will NEVER recommend them to anyone!! We had a communication issue in the beginning with one of the salesman named Sam and had to request to deal with someone else. That should've given us a red flag to go with another company. The day of installation the service guys were an hour and half late and I had to call them to find out where they were. Their arrival time was between 8:00-8:30 and at 9:15 i had to call and ask where they were. Then the door handle was not what we ordered so I contacted Jeff the installation manager. He cut me off several times on the phone and was extremely rude to me saying he wasn't responsible for checking his manufacturer's order when they reached the Window Depot warehouse before it was sent to the customer. I was floored and blown away with his unprofessional attitude and how he wouldn't let me finish asking a question before rudely cutting me off and having a rude tone with me as a customer.
