The staff took my copay and advised me to sit in the waiting room. I sat in that waiting room with no updates for almost an hour. In the meantime, the staff was chatting and giggling amongst themselves and arguing over who should be allowed to go home early. I finally went and asked how long it was going to take for me to be seen. They told me I was next. I asked "how long does that mean, I have been waiting almost an hour" they just said "You are next" again. I told them to refund my copay and I was leaving and how unprofessional they were. They then said, "Sorry, we had 3 emergencies today", to which I responded "Why didn't you call me to reschedule, or at least tell me when I got here?". They just stared and said "Sorry". Totally unprofessional staff. I guess I will find someone else. I wish I could bill them for the time and $ they cost me through wasting my time / PTO. If there was a way to give ZERO stars, I would have done that.

Not that it is an excuse but sometimes someone just has a bad day so please try not to base your opinion on one time! They may even be dealing with something even worse than that like having a child in the hospital or something very traumatic, again not an excuse. I am just speaking from experience and try to look at all sides of events. Thing that impressed me is that Dr. Kaplan reads and tries to correct the problems within the reviews. The place was very clean, organized and professional. After having recently moved to near by area i jumped on to the yelp to find a good optometrist for my regular eye test. I found this place with good reviews and made an appointment online (highly recommend doing that so it saves you some time). As soon as i walked in i was greeted by the wonderful front-desk lady (wish i remember her name). From start to finish she was awesome going above and beyond to take care of my needs. Dr. Hendrik Krosschell was very thorough, clear in his explanation and was kind enough to answer the concerns i had. He also had me come in multiple times just to ensure that i had the best possible lenses. A special kudos to the front desk lady. I had a full insurance coverage for my vision. The lady explained me how much i would be paying for my co-pay but there was a bit of confusion on what it covered for my lenses. I called up the insurance and got the details and this front desk lady (again i wish i remembered her name) was so kind enough to charge me just the remaining amount and have my insurance cover the remaining. All-in-all i had a pleasant and hassle-free experience. Strongly recommended!!

I went in for new glasses and clearly stated multiple times that I only wanted services covered by my insurance. Each time I was told, "of course." I've now received an unexpected bill for an additional $145. When I called, I was told they "don't know what insurance covers" and that I had signed paperwork agreeing to pay any extra charges. My issue isn't even the amount -- it's the principle. If a patient specifically asks what is covered, that conversation should be handled honestly and transparently before services are performed. Based on my experience, I would encourage others to avoid using them. Their business practices are boderline illegal.

No more warm, smiling genuine greetings upon entering the office :( It seems like since they remodeled the office, the friendly front desk staff disappeared. I've tried to engage in a warm connection with this new batch of grumpy greeters, but got the bored look of a gen z (or is it y? I dunno...) looking at 'this smiling old lady' who wants to make friends? I wouldn't be surprised if they rolled their eyes at me once I turned my back. I recommend mixing it up and also hiring mature font desk folks who've lived and seen a little life, who understand and appreciate the customer service includes exuding warmth & compassion and a true interest in the patients who spend their money there. I would not encourage anyone to purchase their glasses at this establishment, because the staff is seemingly not trained in sizing frames to the face. They don't appear to know how progressive lenses need to be fitted to the eyes/face, and they are definitely not skilled at adjusting the newly arrived pair of glasses to the ears and nose - I know because all three of them made the attempt and did NOT give me glasses that function the way they should. I have to use my hands to lift my glasses up so I can see things on my laptop. Sadly, It felt like once they receive payment, there's not much incentive to provide a functioning product? Hundreds of dollars down the drain.... During my short time in the room with the Doc, I mentioned the problem with my glasses, but just got a disinterested 'Hum' in response... She was already on to other things....

She really knows her profession from what contact lenses are available in what increments to educating clients on eye care. Although Dr. Waldorf is no longer offering appointments the business continues to grow and I am delighted to see the office will be undergoing a bit of remodeling shortly. He told me to "come back in an hour" and when I did he had put my kid's eyeglass lenses into new frames and my kid could see again!! The original frames were pretty cheap (the lenses were the expensive part), so I'm glad he was able to salvage them. Even though he is moving, I would be willing to drive to his new location if my kid were to break his glasses again. Way cheaper than buying a new pair!!

The man who does the repairs is so kind, patient and offers great solutions to keep the frames usable until we it became a a necessity for new glasses. His repairs aren't even that expensive like other chain shops that sell glasses and only push for new frames.
