Bonnie in customer service and delivery was able to accommodate the last minute change without missing a beat. The first thing the next morning my refrigerator arrived and took a lot of work to fit it into my house. The installers/delivery men were very professional and removed the doors to make it fit. Overall if you need a reliable appliance for cheap this is a great place to go. A few of those appliances I bought had issues within a few months of purchasing (which is to be expected with used appliances) and they sent out technicians to repair them promptly. In most cases they ended up replacing the appliance with a working one. One of those times the issue was a washer rocking and making tons of noise due to the uneven floor of my laundry room. Nonetheless they replaced the washer with a different model that worked better on an uneven floor and the problem was solved. The only complaint I have is that sometimes you have to follow up with them to make sure they follow through with a service call. I don't usually write Yelp reviews but I didn't like that they had such a poor score and wanted to share my experience. I'm not sure what went wrong with the other two people who wrotes reviews, but I've never had a major issue with them, they always took care of any problems I had, and so they've always been my go-to place for getting appliances, especially since I don't have the money to buy them new. The repairman came and said he would have to come back because he can't repair the crack when the freezer is cold. So back he came over a week later. We were told to wait 24 hours be for we close the door and turn the fridge back on. Went to fill the fridge and the crack was back. Went to Mannys in Canton CT to pick out a new fridge as I had 5 year warranty. The repairman was there and said it was a 50% chance it would work - not good odds. Thursday I got a call that my fridge is in and it would be delivered Saturday. I never heard what time they were coming so I called the store and they said it wasn't scheduled and next delivery would be Tuesday ugh! Of course I emptied and un plugged the fridge which is a lot of work. So now every time I need something from the fridge I need to get it from the garage floor and downstairs for the freezer. Alright, let's see how much I can remember from my original review that I sent to their site and…read morethey won't post (AF doesn't post reviews below 4 star) My dishwasher purchase is my first and last from American Freight. I bought a scratch and dent unit and, despite their final sale policy, I was assured that AF performs in-house tests and the units work as intended. After hooking up the unit and checking all ports, the dishwasher leaked. There was a seam in the drum that was damaged or defective and was leaking water from the side panel. IF they actually test ran this unit, they would not have been able to miss this leak. I called AF 4 times that day because of this issue (I called a 5th time because of another question that never was answered). Call 1: I tell them the unit is leaking from the side panel, not a port. The associate, J, doesn't have an answer and the manager was on break so they would need to call me back. I wait an hour and call back (break should be done and I haven't heard anything) Call 2: J tells me to call KitchenAid because the unit is still under warranty. I know from working in manufacturing that this isn't KA's problem, but I call anyway. KA tells me that the warranty doesn't cover this issue. I call the store back. Call 3: I tell J that KA doesn't cover this issue. He tells me he needs to talk to the manager and will call me back. I wait a few hours and call back. Call 4: I ask J, he answered, what is going on. He states they are working on trying to find me a comparable replacement unit and will call me when they find something. Why didn't they call me to tell me this? Who knows. Well, that was 3 weeks ago now. I haven't gotten 1 phone call from them. They have my information. I was left with a dishwasher that doesn't work and I am not allowed to return. They just told me what I wanted to hear and completely blew me off. AF offers a warranty and I can't imagine that they help ANYONE with issues with how my experience went. These calls were 2 days after I bought the unit. If you are looking for scratch and dent appliances I highly recommend Western Mass Appliance (they didn't have any KA's in the weeks I called them) they are a small business run by local people.

We were promised by their logistics representative, that has now left the company to run his own business. Promises have not been kept. I am hopeful that they still might come through. My husband repaired with painting and spackling our walls. The stairs are much harder. I will write again once it is completed. Without the man, Mike, who made promises, and seemed sincere, it seems promises might not be kept. Be careful. They replaced the machine and it came dented, but in a way we couldn't see. And we didn't want another experience with delivery. We should have been compensated for this mess. None yet.
