I'll start out by saying we just moved into a new house two months ago and have purchased virtually…read moreevery piece of furniture from PB to fill the entire house. We have spent thousands of dollars and have been happy with these purchases and quality of furniture and especially happy with the store at Evergreen walk. They have been overly accommodating and very helpful. This review is solely of the Holyoke mall store and the supervisor on duty Saturday 4/20. We ordered a custom farm table and have been trying to match Wynn ladderback chairs and are deciding between two colors. The Holyoke mall store had one of the colors in stock and we wanted to purchase it to see if it matched the best with our table. These chairs retail for around $300 per chair. We explained to the salesperson our situation and she was very nice and said she could discount it 20% since it was a floor model. We said great and explained that we would be back to order either the other three of the same color or return it and order four of the other color if this one didn't work out. The supervision came out and told us that if we purchased the floor model there was no way to return it. We explained our situation again and she said sorry can't help you. As we were walking out of the store without the chair, this supervisor had the audacity to ask us if we purchased anything online then to please do it through the Holyoke store so they would get credit. I will never purchase another thing from this store and hope someone from corporate looks into how they are treating valued PB customers.

If I could give negative star reviews, this place would have one. I was really excited to walk into…read morethis store, since most of the stuff I get is ordered online. I'm a big Restoration Hardware, Crate and Barrel and used to be Pottery Barn fan. We just moved here from Hawaii and was looking forward to furnishing our house with new furniture and new decorative pieces. As soon as we walked in, I went straight for the floor lamps, hoping the rope one I saw online was there. But it wasn't. There were many employees, but none of them seemed like they wanted to help me. I went to a register that I saw someone working at just before I walked up. He went to decorate the tree, he was a store manager, I think. His name was Glen. Either way, I waited there for about ten minutes while he was decorating a tree right behind me and he just ignored me. I went to a register that was ringing up another lady, who was an employee exchanging an item and she had two people tending to her. I waited patiently as the other lady was going to start ringing me up, but she got caught up in conversation with the off duty employee. Really?!? Never did they say sorry for the wait or anything. I was disgusted with their customer service and their SNOBBY employees. Did you forget? You're a mall employee! I will never spend a dollar there. I asked if they had the rope floor lamp here because I saw it in the magazine. But the cashier just said "if you didn't see it, we don't have it." And she left it at that. Rude! No, I'll see or anything. Don't waste your time or money here!!!

A competing company never returned my call and text which led me to go with shades on wheels. Customer service is important.

Because I have worked with Shades on Wheels so many times, I wanted to write a thoughtful review,…read moreso sorry if it's long! The best shades and blinds are found at Shades on Wheels which serves towns on the South Shore of Boston and in other areas of Massachusetts and Connecticut. Barbara Thomas and Shades on Wheels bring the showroom to you! She makes it so easy. Don't waste your time searching other options. Barbara is your gal for residential and commercial custom shades and blinds installations. There is simply no debate. When Barbara Thomas came to my houses and place of business for window covering consultations, she always made suggestions that only someone with her expertise can make. They were things I never would have thought of. Barbara showed me options from her sample books, laser measured to microscopic accuracy and ordered from the best window treatment vendors in the world. Each and every time I have used Shades on Wheels, the installations have been flawless. Not only were her professional installers lightning fast, but so neat and tidy I hardly knew they were there. All of my shades and blinds perform perfectly and I get tons of compliments. It has been completely stress-free and absolute pleasure working with Shades on Wheels and Barbara Thomas. Decades spent in the shades and blinds business has earned Shades on Wheels the elite status of being a Hunter Douglas Priority Dealer and the prestigious Hunter Douglas Certified Kirsch Diamond Award. It's no surprise. She participates in all the webinars and trainings offered by her premium vendors, has been the Best of Houzz every year since 2016, and received Angie's List Super Service Award. Barbara knows her product better than anyone else around and is not someone who just jumped into the custom blinds business. Shades On Wheels sells and installs custom window treatments like honeycomb blinds, motorized shades and blinds for skylights and windows, roman shades, woven wood blinds, wood blinds, interior wood shutters, plantation shutters, vertical blinds, mini blinds, roller shades, sunscreen shades, cellular shades, pleated shades, sun shades, blackout shades, horizontal blinds, modern and traditional draperies. Too many to name! As are the manufacturers she works with like Hunter Douglas, Graber, Horizons, Lafayette, Landmark, Levolor, Kirsch, Comfortex, Carole, Castec, Robert Allen, Norman, Worldwide and more. Everyone wants to work with Barbara. The last thing I'll say is about DIY shades and blinds. Maybe you're thinking of purchasing and installing shades or blinds yourself. Good luck with that. First of all, the measurements have to be precise, and by precise I don't mean to the quarter inch. Windows, skylights and doors don't fit into perfect, geometric openings to begin with, and structures shift which of course changes the corners causing the angles to skew. The word "custom" means done to order according to specific measurements and needs, therefore all shades and blinds are "custom." You buy and install "custom shades and blinds" because you are fitting them to your windows. Shades on Wheels goes so far beyond "custom" we need to invent a new word! So, go for it! You won't regret it.

First of all they were running late. My appointment time was 12:30-2 pm. The guy showed up at 2:30…read morepm. When he arrived he was pleasant enough and very thorough with his work. The installation of my carpet was superb. The quality of the carpet was also fabulous. The issue I had was after the installation, the owner Gabe changed the price he quoted me. I was quoted $386 and I told him I would dispose of the old carpet. Why did I end up paying $180 and $220??? I was told that taking up the carpet was not included. That was never explained to me over the phone. Yes, it was a few dollars, but that is not the point. It is the principle. Professionalism is what I expected from beginning to end. Not lateness without a phone call and no hidden fees. I am sure you will understand this review Gabe. I am sure you would not like this done to you either if you were the consumer.

I have never dealt with a more unprofessional business. Don't even waste your time, I can't believe…read morethey're even in business. I will start out by saying the installation quality was very good and our large master bedroom was completed in one day. That was literally the only positive of this experience. Ordered the carpet in mid-July, was told 1 week, maybe one and a half max. Two weeks go by, I hear nothing from the store. I call back and the owner Gabe begins blaming a shipping delay and says should be in within 4 days. That day comes and goes, no update provided. I call again and again, shipping delays etc. etc. Haggled with the owner to give me some sort of discount, to which he finally agrees. In the end what was quoted as a 10 day project (from initial ordering to installation) turned out to be over a month long ordeal. To make matters worse, the receptionist 'Jordan' is completely unprofessional and beyond rude. She called less than 48 hours after the job was finally completed telling me I "still hadn't paid". I called her back to remind of how long I had to wait and that I would pay by the end of the week. Instead of apologizing for the delay, she yelled at me and proceeded to talk over me until I hung up on her. She tried to immediately call me back, which I obviously declined. She then left a message telling me I can't "disrespect her and that I can't talk to her that way" before placing me on a minute long hold...on my voicemail. Appalled is the only word I can use to describe the treatment I got from this business. I have told no less than 5 people to NEVER do business with this company and I hope 5,000 read this review.
