Our 2nd time eating here and it was great!. Wife ordered ceasar salad and tortilla soup. The salad was good, but the soup was amazing! Tasted similar to chili. I would go back just for that. I think my wallet was nuked... This was my second trip to Newk's. The first time went well, but this time we got it for take out. $7.15 for a "bowl" of soup? More like half a kid's small cereal bowl. I've eaten Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches all up and down the East Coast, but when I pay 13.00 for Cheesesteak sandwich I believe there should be at least 6 to 8 oz of Steak, on my sandwich. It tasted like peppers, onions, and cheese. I know prices are high but come on. You might say it was a Philly pepper, onions and cheese sandwich. Make the customer happy or they end up here letting everyone know how bad your sandwiches are. Decided to try this place again after a "meh" experience the first time. So we stopped in for a quick dinner on Saturday. My wife ordered an Ultimate salad with lemon vinaigrette dressing and grilled chicken. I orders a Red White and Blue salad with grilled chicken. My wife specifically asked if the chicken was chicken breast. The cashier said yes. Well we received the salads and both had chicken deli meat! The lemon vinaigrette was rancid! Any place else we eat, the manager would be comping us dinner. This place was reluctant to even provide a replacement salad. Good thing Tropical Smoothy was right next door. Was worth the price of 6.99 didn't have to wait more than 6 minutes for food to make it out to me. Wife ordered chicken salad sandwich and loved it said coleslaw was very good. Last Friday, I met several gal pals at this restaurant for lunch. Since our small town is growing, and there are now a good number of places to go for lunch, I just never think to eat here. I'm glad that we did! Upon entering the restaurant, the menu is on display, the staff is helpful and the fare consists mostly of sandwiches and salads. I placed my order at the counter for the Turkey Avocado sandwich, which came with a side of applesauce (other sides also available). It was delivered to the table in just a few minutes, and was absolutely delicious. As we sat there (It was around 11:45am), the restaurant really filled up, so if you are going for lunch there on a Friday, and are limited for time, don't eat at 12 noon. In summary, I'd highly recommend this restaurant. With all of the lunch options out there, I don't think you will be disappointed. By the way, for those of you who are cost conscious (Aren't we all these days?), the sandwich, applesauce and a fountain drink (self serve) was around $15. Bon Appetit! read more

We went at 1pm on a Saturday. When we walked in they just kind of stared at us, and so I was like, "first time here, how do we order?". Not a lot of commentary we looked at the menu display on the side wall and choose a large salad and a chicken salad sandwich. All the tables were dirty, and we had to wait for to get a clean one. One chick that we ask actually said that it wasn't her job, she was a cashier, but she reluctantly wiped down the table. The restaurant was extremely busy, loud, and dirty (way too many children). The food was just blah. After hearing so much about Newks and the relish bar and stumped at why everybody loved Newks. I'll be sticking with Jason's for my deli desires. read more

Newks just opened in Canton so we stopped in for a quick lunch. Parking is easy as they have a semi-private, strip mall parking lot. The greeters were very nice and personable and the service was super fast, perfect for a quick lunch. I ordered the five cheese pizza and a side Ceasar salad, and the hubs had a pest chicken sandwich and pasta salad. I love the "round table" they offer with extra goodies for your salad, like croutons, extra cheese, breadsticks, crackers and more, and they have awesome bread and butter pickles as well. The salad was super fresh with nice crisp lettuce and crispy croutons. The chicken on the Hubs sandwich was juicy and not dry at all with a great flavored pesto. His pasta salad was an average pasta salad side. The pizza was served with pesto was delicious. It had a nice crisp crust and very flavorful. The restaurant was nicely lit, very clean and they also have a separate hand Washing station between the two restrooms which was a nice add. We will defibitely be back for lunch again. read more

I had a long day, so I wasn't very picky. To make a long story short, an hour later I hit the bathroom with a bad case of diarrhea. Newk's Eatery of Canton Private Preview Tasting Dinner December 15th Was fortunate to lock in A time to try this place for free, and it was well worth it. The place looks phenomenal very well designed and had two drink stations which I found very functional for the size of this restaurant. I ordered the combo Royal sandwich and chicken tortilla soup Yum, and my wife ordered one of the pizzas spicy chicken. Both came out at record speed's and was very delicious. My combo was just the right size actually the soup was very generous that I shared it with the wife. Parking was limited but doable and staff was plentiful, We will see how they will do in the next few months, till then we are fans. read more

One of my favorite local places to eat. I love the pizza, sandwiches, and the cake...their strawberry cake is AMAZING. Some reviews mentioned it being pricey for what you get, but that really depends on what you order. They offer a "Choose 2" option which is a really great value, it's what I normally get. Awesomely fresh and great portions. Hubby and I got 1/2 Roast Beef sandwich and a cup of soup. He got the lobster crab soup and I got chicken tortilla. Their bowl is a full 8 ounces. My soup had lots of chicken. The roll our sandwich was made with was crusty, fresh and yummy. The roast beef was very tender, lean and juicy. Only suggestion I would make is if you like your roast beef well done, you should mention it when ordering. Ours was medium to medium-rare, but we like ours that way. The complimentary condiment bar has a wonderful selection of roasted garlic, capers, pickles, jalapeños, grated cheese, seasonings, hot sauce and bread sticks. We're in the middle of a global pandemic and none of the kitchen staff at this location is wearing masks. I have come here multiple times because it's my BF's favorite food, but they are never wearing masks and you can litteraly see them through the glass. I like some of the staff, they're very nice, but i also work in a restaurant so i know the health department is requiring masks right now. read more

Exceeded expectations. Newks Q sandwich was spot on. Garden Salad was fresh with good flavor combination. Soda fountain had Coke products with the right fizz and syrup mixture. I don't think the Newcomb's would be very impressed with this location. The original Newk's in Mississippi used to be awesome. This one, however, is nothing like Newk's used to be. When I arrived an employee was sitting on the curb "vapping." He then walked in after us and went right back into food prep area--- no hand washing. Food was so lacking- margarita pizza was a frozen, barely baked pizza with a few small tomato pieces thrown in the middle, shrimp poboy was barely cooked shrimp with a wilted piece of lettuce on French bread- cold, Italian soup was from a can. I couldn't believe this was a Newk's and they were serving such poor quality food. The employees were young kids who were playing on their phones instead of attending to customers. Sad... and I was so excited. Too bad I won't be going back. Same caliber as McD's but more $$. read more

My first experience with Newk's was in Jackson Ms over a year ago and I enjoyed my Mediterranean Pizza that visit. So when I heard that a Newk's was opening in Canton I was excited. I met a friend for dinner a couple of months ago and chose the Mediterranean Pizza again because I remember it being so yummy. The chicken on this pizza was more like sliced deli meat not the "sliced, grilled chicken breast" that is advertised on their menu or what I had before! When I talked to the manager about it he said "we grill the chicken and slice it on site every day". That's awesome, I thought but it's still deli meat on a pizza and it's not what I'd had before. I told him that I had had the pizza before and the meat was different and told him that I wasn't happy. He never said I'm sorry or offered a different option and didn't seem to care. The pizza was tasty but not as advertised and the managers response was far from the type of customer service that keeps people coming back! I won't be back to this location. read more

So happy we have this as an option in Canton!! Having a healthier option for take out is such a great thing in this land of grease and fat. The salads here are delicious and hearty and huge! My personal favorite is the 'Newks Favorite' and its good for 2 meals. Their soups are so delicious! My husband loves their pizzas and we are both fans of the sandwiches. My wife and I were shopping with my daughter and grandson and we decided to stop at Newk's, just because we didn't want to make dinner. I am a noob at this place. I got a black and blue salad, granny got a shrimp avocado salad, and my daughter got the ultimate salad. To keep our grandson happy, we got the pimento mac & cheese. I have to say that my poor grandson had to eat more salad and fruit and mac & cheese. Out of all the restaurant mac and cheese dishes that I've eaten over the years, this one was absolutely fantastic.
