Reached out to AJ regarding choreographed dance for our wedding. He was very nice and responsive to my questions. Highly recommend.

A friend from school told us about the school, so I brought my daughter in for a trial class. She loved it so much we signed her up right away. Not too long after, I noticed that a lot of the parents are very involved with the group. Some of them dance, others play instruments and some help with costumes and events. A couple of the moms invited me to take a class, but I remember trying Tahitian in high school and never quite picked it up. However, the whole culture at the studio is like a family. Knowing that I could bring my kids, I decided to try it out because I needed some form of exercise. Never did I imagine I would be two years in and still loving it. I went from just dancing as exercise to being able to perform in front of people, which I have always been scared to do. The best part of the studio is all the people from the owners/teachers to the families involved. There are no egos or people trying to outdo one another. Everyone is uplifting, supportive and helpful. And just like the name suggests, it is more than a studio, it is a cultural arts center. We are not just taught dances. We are taught the language, the meaning of the songs we dance and even how to make our own costumes. Plus, you are able to participate as much as you like. If you don't want to perform, you are not forced to do so. They even have special classes where they teach you how to play different instruments. There are even fitness classes like Zumba. Of course, right now due to COVID things are different, and extra precautions need to be taken, so we do not have gatherings like prior. However, I highly recommend this studio for anyone who loves the Tahitian culture or just loves to dance.

He played the Orator Version of Frederick Douglass, and another actor played the action character Frederick Douglass (and also had lines) during the Stage Reading Oration. When we arrived, there was plenty of street meter parking outside around the theatre. There is a brewery directly across the street and a Mexican Food Truck in front of the brewery. The food truck is a bit pricey ($16 per person). I advise that theatre goers explore having dinner prior to arriving to the show. The venue offers a full bar, coffee, hot cocoa, and vending type snacks. Snacks include: candy, Pringle Chips, fresh popped popcorn in boxes, bottled waters, and sodas. There are not hot food items nor sandwiches at the venue snacks/bar area. I recommend that they get pastries to sell to patrons, this would go a long way for those who ate dinner before a show. The theatre seats 90 people, there is a row up front in the orchestra pit area for disabled attendees. The stairwell aisles of the theatre are wide with 2 stair transitions, which is safer than most. The seats are a bit cramped, but cushioned. The sound and lighting is great for a stage reading format. Overall, this was a great experience and the cast came out afterwards to meet with the audience members in the theatre entrance foyer/lobby. Our friend, Wayne, and the whole cast, did an excellent job in this performance!

There is a bar. Dress as you like This last time we came for Dirty Cello band, also amazing! She came out before the show and chatted with everyone personally. I follow them now on social media. I can't imagine being disappointed with anything I chose to see here. We are planning to come see a play soon. And then a comedy show perhaps! Tickets are easy on the website and you even choose your own seats.

The Music Director Kevin warmly and patiently builds the student's musical understanding and performances. His contribution keeps musical standards high and performances enjoyable. The Business Director/Producer Rachel adds the no nonsense behind the scenes taking care of business ballast for all this creativity. We are grateful for her expertise to keep SingOut thriving. The women who work here are really the heart of the place and the care they provide is what has stood out the most to our family. Every teacher we have had the pleasure of interacting with has always been genuinely warm and loving with the kids. The well being of the child is always a priority and they constantly do everything they can to help foster an environment where they can thrive. Our daughter is a happy, confident, social? curious toddler thanks greatly in part to them. Between Zumba, yoga, and music classes, nature walks, trips to the park and the library, arts and crafts, gardening, and baking, these kids are never bored. Meals are also provided, which has been a huge time saver. We cannot recommend this place enough! Our daughter loves it and we're hoping our son will feel the same way when he joins his sister in February!

Each boy has a different personality, and yet, each one felt supported and cared for at Orkidz. My perspective is that at this age (~2 to 5), learning happens readily when a child feels supported and safe. Orkidz teachers have always provided just the right environment for my little ones! They also offer weekly music, yoga/zumba, and nature walks, which are highlights. My sons have adapted to school very well following their preparation at Orkidz. We miss the teachers, and we're so grateful for their care over the years. You can't go wrong with Orkidz!

Without exaggeration, each performer enthusiastically plays each song so passionately that everyone in attendance was mesmerized. Everyone from MSF was incredibly professional and genuinely cared about our day. When I spoke to them over the phone about our wedding being culturally blended, they were excited to create a beautiful performance our friends and families from all walks of life could appreciate. Words cannot truly describe the feeling of joy I had to walk down the aisle to 10 piece Mariachi (con un arpa on top of that!) to my husband to a thoughtfully learned mariachi rendition of Justin Timberlake's "Mirrors" for my ceremony. My husband has taken a deep love to my culture's music and for him to be able to hear the blend of his language and my culture with OUR song will be the perfect touch that we will reflect on for the rest of our lives. Our guests were a combination of family who have heard their fair share of Mariachi and those who were not as well acquainted. The consensus across everyone who attended was pure AMAZEMENT. During our cocktail hour, people stopped chatting just to watch MSF perform. During dinner, they enthusiastically performed a rendition of Hermoso Cariño that I had planned months before with them as a surprise to dance with my grandfather since we had danced to it during my quinceanera almost exactly 14 years ago to the day. To get most of my family to cry is an achievement within itself. As I watched the harpist perform his solo with such intensity, my husband actually pointed out our friends stopping mid bite with their mouths. While the wedding has long since passed, those in attendance STILL talk about our day and ESPECIALLY rave about Mariachi San Francisco and each performer's talent. As I continue to follow Mariachi San Francisco take on more special events and bigger projects, I have no doubts that their talent will be appreciated by anyone who listens. Consider them for your next event, you will not regret it!

I only wanted an hour- and I paid more since the weekend rate is a 2hr minimum. It was a surprise for my mom's 60th birthday and it was more of a seranade. He did change the time the day of, but I was okay with that since he was going to get another hour at his other gig and I was waiting for my sister to get home from work. They arrived at the same time my sister did, which worked out because my sister yelled for me and I went outside. Aurelio asked if they could come inside (I wasn't prepared for that so the house wasn't as organized as it could be) and they walked in singing "Las Mañanitas". My mom broke down crying from how emotional she got which in turn had a trickle down effect on my sisters, dad and I. Aurelio then presented himself said happy birthday to my mom and that he knew it was a surpise for her and gave them a list of songs they could choose from or that they could just play songs. Since Aurelio had sent me "Señora, Señora" that was the next one and then my parents and sister all chose different songs thereafter. The end was very sweet as they played "Tu Sangre en Mi Cuerpo"- mom version (the video didn't come out nice). And that's actually one of my favorite songs and they made it more special singing it the mom version. My dad wanted an extra hour but honestly, I wanted to go to bed. Needless to say, I will definetly consider them for my parents wedding anniversary (and if we have a party or just a serenade).
