We usually order takeaway from here since the dishes are of a reasonably reliable level of quality. Our standard order includes egg fried rice and salt and pepper chicken wings for the kids, while the husband and I cast about the menu for favorites. Beef curry and Mongolian beef are both decent, and the Singapore noodles (vermicelli, of course, as ho fun and egg noodles are no substitute) are nice and spiced. The vegetarian crispy duck is nearly as good as the real duck, and in general both dishes are better than the versions from other restaurants.
The orange chicken isn't exactly what I expected; it's more of an orange version of lemon chicken, if that makes sense. In the US, orange beef is a standard dish, where the breading is cornstarch and very crispy, with a subtle orange glaze that doesn't soften the breading. New Winner's version is doused in sauce so the breading had nearly disintegrated; the kids didn't care though and ate it just fine :)
Prices are reasonable. You can feed a family of four on 15 quid. read more
