I love this store! You can find so many hidden gems and the prices are always reasonable. The staff is always friendly. This is one of my favorite consignment shops in Columbus.

I was downsizing and needing to purge on some items from my condo. I was told about New Uses in Dublin, Ohio. Customer service is outstanding A++ and they are fair on pricing items. I was pleasantly surprised to find this hidden gem. . They have many treasures for sale here. Take a moment and check them out. It's worth the visit!

Date of initial sale: Sunday July…read more20, 2025 Product: Tempur-Pedic Pro-Adapt Twin XL (medium) and Twin XL (firm) Cost: $5000 (sold on a comfort guarantee and 30-day return policy for this major purchase) -- Delivered: Saturday August 2, 2025 Requested exchange: August 24, 2025 (firm mattress too firm, medium was better) -- Replacement Product: Tempur-Pedic Pro-Breeze (medium, king size) Cost: same but bought additional low profile box spring ($300) -- Delivered: Tuesday September 2, 2025 Reported something wrong with mattress about a week later and couldn't use the mattress. It was abnormally soft in spots as if it was previously used. Sales person said she would need to contact the store manager who would look into options and get back to us. After another week went by we didn't hear from them, we went back to the store. The manager seemed surprised to see us and tried to blame not getting back to us on his sales associate. Asking for an update on our options for return or exchange, the manager (Adam) unprofessionally and flippantly told us we're stuck with the defective product and if we don't like it, sell it on Facebook marketplace. We said this was unacceptable and asked to speak with someone else. Without any help from Adam, we did our own research and found the President's hotline number. I left a voicemail to explain and escalate this matter. I felt the representative Jonathon was much more professional and said he would get back to me in a day or so. After patiently waiting three weeks for a resolution, and following up a couple of times, I decided it would be in our best interests to file this complaint. We still seek a fair resolution that could include a refund minus 20% restocking fee, a new mattress to replace the defective one (possibly used?) we were given, or even store credit to buy appliances we need. We cannot accept keeping a $5000 defective mattress we cannot use or sell. Update: We have also filed a complaint with the Ohio attorney general's consume protection agency.

My first impression was good..she accommodated fitting me on Tuesday when she was normally not…read moreopen. We discussed the alterations needed and I paid in in full $238 to take the shoulders in on both dresses. I came to try on and pick up and neither dress fit! The shoulders had been altered is such a weird way It made me look like I was hanging from a meat hook! There were strings hanging and both dresses were a wrinkled mess! I showed her neither dress was wearable.. she agreed that one dress was ill fitting but the other one she seemed ok with.??? I asked her to redo them and needed to pick them up a day later as she was going on vacation and our schedules didn't coordinate after.. I picked up my dresses on Wednesday.. The one dress was improved but not great.. my other dress is a total loss.. it has been hacked apart re sewn with puckers gaps and strings hanging..She never came back out from her sewing room to ask me about the ruined dress or anything?( she was hiding I know she knew she had ruined the dress) Maybe once long ago she had skills but they are not there anymore.. She was rude and dismissive and could have cared less. I am seeking a refund for the alterations on one dress plus damages or replacement if the ruined dress.. I am considering small claim court my total damages were $650

I bought a sofa a little over a year ago and finally got around to washing the cushion covers…read more Despite following the instructions very carefully, when I pulled them out of the wash the cushions all but disintegrated. I called customer service and they will not offer any solution (aside from it coming out of pocket, thanks for nothing) because I'm outside of the year warranty. However I do think that I should be able to wash my couch cushion covers of my fairly expensive couch without the covers falling apart. I'm very disappointed with the way customer service has mishandled handled the situation and disappointed that I spent so much money on a piece of furniture that falls apart with recommended maintenance.

My mom has cancer and lives with her 75 year old sisters , my mom is also 75. We removed my moms furniture at 2 pm as the delivery was to be between 3-6. They called at 5 and said they were running late and would be there between 8-8:30 and asked if that was ok. We didn't have a choice because we had already gotten rid of her furniture . They never even showed up ! At all!! I called the next day to be informed that my items were not even on a truck for delivery yesterday. Whoever runs the show over there should be sent to loading trucks and not scheduling them. Apologies mean nothing when you don't make the problem right. I will never buy a single item from any value city store and anything related to the shottenstein name . If this is how they treat a 75 year old with cancer getting ready to start chemo I can imagine how they treat others. Totally disgusted !!!!!
