After having a stroke in mid March, my father and I came to get a temporary handicap parking pass. The process was smooth and quick. Additionally, I had to add my father to my car title since it only listed my name and I currently cannot drive. We should have had an appointment for changing the title. We also arrived about a half an hour before closing, which I know can typically be frustrating for employees. Not only were Jaqueline and Anna polite and patient, even encouraging us to take our time, numerous other employees jumped in to further assist. All were beyond helpful and personable. Overall, excellent customer service and professionalism. Thank you for creating a positive DMV experience!

I received excellent, friendly, and helpful service from the employees of the Naperville, Illinois, DMV. I was treated kindly and politely by the employees, and I received my temporary Illinois driver license that same day (and I received my permanent Illinois driver license in the mail not long afterwards). Thank you to all the employees of the Naperville DMV! You and your services are both needed and very much appreciated. Thank you to all the Naperville DMV employees for your service to our community and to our State. God bless.

Illinois Air Team - Go on a weekday around lunchtime, and there'll be almost no wait! Avoid weekends, obviously.

Very courteous and quick service. I have also used the on premise tag renewal office around the side of the building. Easy and efficient as well.

STAYING IN COMPLIANCE…read more It's not exciting but car emissions testing is a state requirement, so you gotta do it. I got mail the other day informing me that my plates were due to expire soon, which necessitated a trip to the nearest Illinois Air Team to (hopefully) give my ride a clean bill of health. I visited the one in Joliet at noon on a Friday when the estimated wait time was 4min. The emissions tech was nice; that job must get old in a hurry, so kudos to him for staying upbeat and getting me on my way. There's a small side building off to the right where you can renew your license plate sticker, and that's where I headed. Five people were in front of me, one of whom was arguing with an employee over their failed emissions test. Hey man, it's not THEIR fault your car is a jalopy held together by air fresheners & bungee cords! This guy got pretty worked up and the mood in that tiny space became tense, at best. Should you choose to get your sticker here instead of through Secretary of State, they'll charge a $9.50 credit/debit card transaction fee. Since plastic is the ONLY thing they accept, there's no way around this surcharge of ten bucks (by say, writing a check or paying in pennies). * TL;DR * This review could be broken into two parts: the actual emissions test, and the license plate sticker renewal process. The first part was great, a solid 5*. The second part took a while and drags the overall down to 4*. That side building gets surprisingly hot in the summer, and I'm not a fan of the whopping $10 processing fee....I have enough taxes and sh*t in my life, I could do without this. Aside from those quibbles, this emissions testing site is just fine.

Good luck getting help here. Terrible…read more Welcome to Bizarro World. Someone wrote "a one-star review is too generous" for this place. I agree. You've experienced the efficiency of airport currency exchanges? Well, this isn't that. Awful customer service. I was given mostly evasive non-answers or brush off comments. Apparently, a simple 'yes' or 'no' answer was simply IMPOSSIBLE regarding whether a particular currency can be exchanged for USD. It's a very simple question. And, oh yeah: They HUNG UP on me during my phone call. The woman insisted that they had to make a xerox photocopy of each denomination of the bills to provide to their mysterious 'broker' (unnamed, and unavailable to speak with, even during his stated hours at their shop: 9:00-4:30, M-F). I never saw or heard of something like this in all my prior currency exchanges. She said their fee for doing a currency exchange was 5%-7% of the total amount (really? Not even ridiculously overpriced airport areas are this absurd). Give me a break. Stubbornly unhelpful, both in person and via phone. A repeated theme: 'You have to bring in' the money first. (WHY?) Just please ANSWER a SIMPLE QUESTION. On the phone: "I can't talk about this over the phone." (?) Well, she was asked the same question in person beforehand by my friend, with the same evasive non-answer. It shouldn't be so difficult to get a straight answer. [Her response to my polite incredulity: "That's our process."] Well, Kafka would have more to write about with this "process." If you want a place that will waste your time with playing games, here it is.
