I went to Fox Valley Currency Exchange to register a recently-purchased used car. Because of state regulations for out-of-state auto purchases we weren't able to complete the registration. A very nice woman there explained the situation and gave us directions to the nearest DMV offices, where we were able to get everything done. The customer service was so good at the Currency Exchange that I decided when it's time to get a new sticker for the license plates I'll go there. read more

I'm a notorious procrastinator when it comes to my license plate sticker, because I hate going to the DMV (doesn't everyone?). So 8:30pm on Sept 30, I realized I still hadn't gotten my new sticker. I dashed over to the Currency Exchange down 59, and was happy to see they were still open. The sticker was a few dollars more (they have to make a profit somehow, so I wasn't upset), and felt those dollars were well worth no line, getting to go at night, and having someone friendly who actually joked around behind the counter. I remitted money through WU, the cashier is very rude lacks customer service skill. She does not even smile and she talks to me like I'm an idiot! The lady is Hispanic and I am Asian. I noticed in many WU outlet, Hispanic staff are usually rude to Asians. I'm not going back here. read more

Came in to cash my check without a mask started helping me wanted to call my phone to verify had to go back out and get it came back in and asked me to put a mask on I stated I don't have any left my last one broke I asked if they had any she said no give me back all my stuff so I went outside and this gentleman said he had one because he saw what was going on and went back in and she wouldn't serve me Think she's a new lady really unprofessional read more

When the printers were down at the DMV and the line was out the door, I was excited to learn that I could renew my license plate at a currency exchange! I arrived at the currency exchange and was seconding line. After a short wait I was helped by the nicest woman. I wish I had gotten her name. After just a few minutes I was on my was with my new sticker. There is a fee to renew here, but I was expecting that. They need to make money some how, and considering I would have been at the DMV for hours more, it was a few extra dollars well spent. read more

I went to this particular currency exchange because it was closest to my job, there was a 20 minute line just to cash my check, when I got to the window the lady took a good 20 minutes on the computer she seemed like she didn't know what she was doing, she was trying to call my job, I've NEVER had to handout so many number in my life and when she asked me for my jobs number I gave it to her and she told me that wasn't the correct number that was on yellow pages, I told her to look on the company's website as they have an actual website and she refused. Worst customer service ever, I've never had this experience at ANY currency exchange like I did at this when. Step your game up Naperville, and educate yourselves. Please and thank you. read more

Well what can i say the girls that work here are the best and have good customer service. All I have to say it that the people don't have manners at all. like who raised you.? did you're parents not teach you right. they try their best to help but you don't let them you right away against them. and for those people just don't assume their race just because they look the way they do is their race. ohh one more thing people who come in with their phone and are next on line please like please hang up or tell them nicely that you will call them back its rude fist of all they are talking and waiting for you and u are with someone on the phone. no wonder you complain that they are just staring at you and that their is a long line of a wait. These girls that work in this location are the best and really friendly especially the manager and her mom that are always so helpful when i come in even when i am in a bad mood they know how to make someones day feel better with them is a nice place to go cash my checks. thank you girls. hope you guys get to read this. read more

Okay this was irritated enough that I'm going to leave them a bad review. It wasn't enough that when I pulled up the parking lot was empty but of course when I walked in there was one person in line. Wasn't busy at all is what I'm saying. There were at least three workers there one at the window 2 others at desks. I was ignored by the 2 at their desks until somebody that they knew walked in and she let him stand there for like a minute until I was next at the other window and then one of them invites him to come to a 2nd window because she knew him "oh hi Joe". But that didn't do it for me. I could have let that go. But I'm about to pay for my license sticker renewal and I already know that I'm 2 months late and I already know that I will be paying a late penalty. I ask is there a way to pay that is cheaper like by check, etc, is one method cheaper than the other? She ignores the question that I asked and simply says oh you're going to pay an additional $20 for the late fee. Yes I know... is there a way that is cheaper to pay , I said again. No response . So I grab my debit card and I ran it through and then she says oh there's a $3 charge for paying by debit. I said I asked you if one way was cheaper!! Would I have gotten charged a $3 fee if I paid by check? And she says no. I'm like that's what I asked you! And so I said it again and she says oh you asked after you ran your debit card. And I said no I didn't and I know for sure that I didn't. Why would I want to pay $3 more to the state of Illinois when I can go out and get a smoothie or a hamburger instead with that money. To me that was just throwing my money away, because not only did my bank account get charged immediately (and I paid $3 for that), but I could have written a check and at least I would have had some float time on the check clearing. Just annoying to me that this is the kind of service they give - not only did she not offer any helpful information before asking, but she actually withheld the information after I asked - that I could have saved three bucks if I paid by check instead of by debit!! I'm pissed and I don't care what small dollar amount it was, I was already annoyed that I had to pay Illinois for the stupid late fee. So my advice to them is for God sake answer the question that is asked. I actually wonder if she gets paid a commission on that debit charge, it wouldn't surprise me at all. read more

Stopped in to "exchange currency" ahead of a trip to Mexico. To my surprise the Fox Valley Currency Exchange does not keep any foreign currency on hand, so you have to pre-order days ahead of your planned departure. I was redirected to another business in Naperville as they "might" have pesos available. I understand that less common foreign currency would not be readily available, but Mexican pesos during the spring break season would seem a safe bet for a currency exchange business. Worst customer service ever. Old lady with glasses was mean to everyone. Yelled at a guy on the phone while talking to a customer all because she didn't want to give directions. Every time a customer came up to the window, she would sigh and say "oh God". She screwed up a lady's money order and had the nerve to yell at the customer "WELL SORRYYYY!!!". Old hag needs to get fired immediately. I gave her the death stare and didn't say a word to her when I was at the window. read more
