Our consult was with Nance, and she was very patient in explaining the process and talking us through some initial things that we were struggling with. Then, we started with a training package that included 3 private training classes and 2 months of group obedience classes. We also went to a few puppy kindergarten classes. Nicole did the majority of our trainings and she has been a god-sent. She is very good with the dogs, and her energy level makes the training classes fun both for us and our dog. We learned a lot from Nicole and she helped us to feel a lot less stressed out and actually enjoy the puppyhood. The obedience class is set up like a monthly subscription, where you can go to as many classes as you want. We end up going about 3-4 times a week for 30 minutes, as it is a great activity to mentally exercise our dog and provide socialization while working alongside other dogs. We also started bringing our dog to their dog day camp 2x a week. Tim was also very patient in explaining the process. The dog day camp has been great in getting her to play with other dogs and allows her to learn obedience from others aside from us.

It's remarkable to see the progress that they make with her and how much they enjoy their training sessions! Nance adapts her training sessions to the needs of the individual dog and she is quick to assess how they learn best. She is always patient, kind, and encouraging. We are so lucky to have her expertise, she has changed the lives of so many dogs!

We went back to Missy because our first experience was excellent. That's the only reason we trusted…read moreher again. This time completely broke that trust. The transport situation was unacceptable. We were explicitly told our puppy would be traveling alone. That was not the case. There were multiple dogs in the car (the transporters personal dogs).... The vehicle clearly had been smoked in--strong enough that there was no ambiguity. There was a cup filled to the top with 10+ smoked cigarette butts in it. Disgusting that she took ZERO responsibility . You're transporting a 12-week-old puppy for hours in that environment. That's a basic failure in judgment. But what made it far worse was the response. Instead of taking responsibility, we got denial and deflection. And then, rather than addressing the situation, we were told she would: "personally drive from Ohio to NYC" to take the puppy back and issue a refund. Missy's Text Below: "Jessica & Ian, I want to bring the focus back to Romeo. Based on everything you've shared, he's eating, active, and not showing any symptoms, which is exactly what we want to see in a healthy puppy. I think at this point we may be focusing more on the situation than on how he's actually doing. Since Romeo is doing well, there isn't anything indicating a medical concern. Since you're feeling uncertain, I'm happy to personally come pick him up and provide a full refund. I think this is the best path forward for everyone. Missy" Let's be clear--that's not a solution. That's not accountability. That's essentially a threat to take back a dog we had already paid for and taken possession of. It felt completely inappropriate and, frankly, a borderline attempt to steal and defraud. That response alone tells you everything you need to know about this persons character, moral complex and values. At this level, there should be real oversight--who is transporting the dogs, the condition of the vehicle, whether instructions are being followed. None of that seemed to be in place here. The puppy is okay--we had him checked by a vet and thankfully there are no issues. But that doesn't excuse what happened or how it was handled. Bottom line: this felt careless, and the way it was handled afterward was worse. Very disappointing, especially given how strong our first experience was. She threatened my family to "drive to our house" and take the puppy back. If there is any further contact handled in this same manner, we will escalate this through the appropriate formal channels. I will say one thing. I just bought an $800 puppy. Came home, the pup was sick with the not only…read moreKennel Cough but Geardia as well, vet bill of 150. I honestly find that very discouraging actually. You pay for a healty puppy, expect it to be healthy when you bring it home...ESPECIALLY if you pay close to $1000 for the pup. Honestly, they should put the pups to go health and then sell them, healthy! I love my puppy, I would NEVER think of giving him back. I just would NEVER recommend a pet store such as this to anyone else. I learned from my mistakes and I will also help others learn as well. I should have read up and read the reviews as I usually do with anything else...But, I didnt, my fault. I think for future issues though, since there are so many sick dogs that come out of there...there should be something done...At least nurse the puppys back to health before they sell them. Seriously. Stop being so money hungry and hurry to get the sale complete to put that cash in your pocket...help the little pupps out to feel better even while they are still there...they say they quarentine the pups when they first come in? I am pretty sure that is false or this wouldnt be an epidemic with each pup. Just wanted to give my opinion on this shop. The woman is extremly nice and helpful to a point just wish she didnt sell me a sick dog...or would have advised me of the sickness first and foremost so I at least knew what I was getting into and that I would be spending a lot more directly after the purchase of the pup, not only for the fun toys, great food, perfect leash and collar, cumfy bed, safe crate and great treats but I now had to pay for a huge vet bill that should have been taken care of by the store...Period. Update : the dog also has an enlarged heart and E.I.C. (exercise induced collapse) do some research on this and you'll see it is completely detectable from an early age. screw this place!! I think they are out of business now.

She did a great job with both dogs, even though Cruz can be a challenge with his nails being trimmed (he hates it). When I checked out, I presented a $5 discount provided by Yelp after I did a 'Check In'. The cashier 'Sally' mentioned PetSmart does not accept Yelp coupons. You'd think when you book an appointment, show up on time that they would put your dog on the table and start with the nail trim and wash. No as I walked out the door almost closed behind me I hear "put her in the cage" So Instead of leaving I waited knowing I was going to get a phone call. Not 5 minutes later "could you come pick her up" hmm I wonder why? I said not to put her in a cage, but that was flown over their heads because they do not care. I highly recommend you take your dog somewhere else because this place is a joke. I typically use a mobile groomer but he was unavailable, I thought this would have been a quick easy service but was not. Hire people that are capable of their jobs. I've never booked an appointment to get my hair cut where I had to go wait in a cage. I'm sat down right away because I booked the hair dresser for a specific time like I did for my dog. Do better!!! And no where on your website says that they go in cages.
