While this review may be somewhat lengthy, I urge any reader to take the time to read it, as I am…read moresure that it will be worth your while. The industry norm for ratings seems to be up to 5 stars, the people at Master Mechanic Matheson deserve at least double that, and it is my opinion that their name says it all "MASTER MECHANIC' as these folks have done the "almost impossible". How many of us over the past have had a vehicle they wish they had never sold! As an occasional collector of unique automobiles, I have a favourite, and this one I have never sold. Purchased new with some added horsepower by the folks at Nascar, my pride and joy is a 1996 Lincoln MK VIII LSC. While this vehicle is relatively low miliage, at 27 years old, parts are failing more due to age than wear and tear. Time for a fairly substantial overhaul, a complete vehicle inspection was performed, and identified 11 problem areas each supported by a detailed description and supporting pictures. A work order was then supplied with cost estimates for each repair/replacement. Parts, however, are extremely hard to find as there are apparently only 12 of these vehicles still registered, difficult to source parts (some of which took days to find, and could only be found in the USA) were obtained by Kirk the (Service Advisor), and installed by Edward, Rashidul, and possibly other Technicians. These parts included a Power Steering Rack and Pump with various hoses, A/C Compressor and associated hoses, front upper Ball Joint, Sway Bar Link, wiring for rear tail lights, and for safety sake, and not available as parts, new steel brake lines (and transmission lines) were hand crafted and installed by the Technicians, completely replacing the old lines. I can't express how impressed I am as these folks have worked wonders, and everyone there deserves a personal thank you for the courteous, professional and efficient service they have provided. And after all that, they even had the courtesy to wash my car! I can only rate them as 100% !!! Tony Kemp, Mississauga, On.

They suggested an air filter change as it was dirty. I said go ahead. Should have priced it first but that is my issue. Upon picking up the vehicle the total was now $171.29!! Being decently handy, I had an idea of how I might go about repairing it myself, but sought professional advice. The gentleman I talked to backed up what I had thought, and suggested I could do it myself, with the right parts. He pointed me in the right direction, and saved us $400, that we would have paid at the dealership. Excellent customer service, I'll definitely be returning if we need a mechanic to look at our car.

I would strongly caution motorists before trusting this shop with a major repair…read more In March 2024, I PAID MASTER MECHANIC TO REPLACE the flex/Y-pipe on my 2015 Infiniti QX60. Approximately 27 MONTHS LATER, I was advised that the same exhaust component needed to be replaced AGAIN. In my opinion, that is an unacceptable lifespan for a repair of this nature and raises serious questions about the quality of the part supplied, the installation, or the original repair. I retained the invoice and photographs and subsequently examined the components on the vehicle. Rather than reassuring me, what I found left me with MORE questions about exactly what was installed in 2024 and why I was facing the same repair again barely two years later. This is what concerns me most: customers generally cannot crawl underneath their vehicles and verify expensive repairs themselves. We PAY professional mechanics because we TRUST them to install the parts we paid for and perform the work competently. After this experience, that trust is gone. I brought my concerns directly to Frank, the Service Manager (Habib the owner refused to speak with me). Frank refused to answer any of my questions and did not provide an explanation. My advice to other motorists is simple: DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. KEEP YOUR INVOICES. PHOTOGRAPH THE PARTS. ASK TO SEE WHAT WAS REMOVED. GET A SECOND OPINION. I would NEVER entrust another vehicle to this location.
