I needed drapes for several rooms in a new house with a significantly bigger budget and I came out with what I can only say was a steal. The ladies that work there were very attentive and helpful. When you first step into the place, they immediately make you feel like a valued customer by greeting you and asking you if they can help you find anything. (This is rare in Harwin Area stores generally speaking.) The ladies didn't mind searching for specific colors for me and even radioed for additional stock from the warehouse just to complete my collection/set. Parking area is small but there have always been a spot every time I've been. When I had my toddler shopping with me, everybody was nice to him and he was even offered a sucker. We looked at Walmart, but they had a limited supply of Houston Texans items. She considered getting gifts at her college bookstore, but gifts are expensive there. We Googled "Houston souvenirs" and Gifts of Texas popped up. We found out that this shop is in the upscale shopping mall, The Galleria. Free parking was a plus. We could not find any store directory. We walked from the Orange parking garage to Saks Fifth Avenue without finding the store. My niece is a techie, so, she found the Galleria directory online and figured out that Gifts of Texas is by the entrance to the Westin ...and it's not on the ice skating rink level. It's on the first floor. (Yes... There's ice skating in August!) Gifts of Texas was manned by a lone elderly gentleman. He was very quiet. We browsed through everything... Sweatshirts, koozies, pot holders, tote bags, keychains, postcards, magnets, shot glasses, and more. I decided to get a Sheriff's badge for my boss... He'll luv it! If you need something to bring home, you might want to take a look. It's a bit pricey, but this shop has a good variety!
