I was visiting Muhlenberg County on purpose and this place had an stylistic map of the county on the wall along with the names of all the county towns. The atmosphere was really nice. The server was prompt and very friendly. I was pleased to see a diverse menu- not just burgers and bar food. I ordered a simple pasta dish with red peppers that was extremely good. I am picky and rarely like anything as much as I liked this. I wish I could go back frequently. It was perfect. I hope they get good business. They have only been open a year. Try it!!

We will be back again...and again!

After attending a day long training program in the lodge meeting rooms, I spent the night at the…read morelodge and needed dinner, but didn't want to drive away from the property. The restaurant Grayson's Landing is in the lower level of the lodge with views of the lake below and provides food for its captive audience. On Saturday night only the buffet is open, and one cannot order from the menu, with options of only the salad/cold food bar, or including the hot bar and desserts, including soft serve ice cream, for an additional price. But for those hungry from a day on the water of the lake or pool, visits to the buffet are unlimited. The food is standard buffet fare and fit the bill for me starting with a nice salad, followed with a thin sliced boneless pork chop, some vegetables, a roll, and dessert. The selection of everything could have been more extensive but was satisfactory. A server is assigned to each table, and they do a good job keeping drinks filled and dirty dishes removed. If I stayed for more than a couple of nights, I'd look for other options, but I was well fed for the night I stayed in the lodge.

Tokyo is a Japanese style restaurant. I stopped in for lunch today and had the pan fried Goyoza…read more(dumplings) and a lunch portion of Hibachi Beef and Chicken. The food was ready quickly and on my table within five minutes. The taste was OK but not the usual zip of many teriyaki and hibachi dishes in my experience. The goyoza were not pan fried, but deep fried. They missed the usual flavor the pan frying adds. In all it's a good meal. There are some things I did not care for. Bathroom was dirty, uuugh. I had a fly buzzing my entire meal. They should invest in something to control that. Also the dish I was served on had a huge chip in it. It feels like the owners here are tired and not taking care of the little things. There is potential in every restaurant, this one has much to gain.
