The establishment is almost always packed but yet so quick and precise. I could go on for hours about each individual food item they offer. While trying to find a place for lunch that wasn't over run with the holiday crowds we stumbled across this place. On the sign outside we noticed it said Hibachi, so we decided some "Shrimp Olympics" would be fun. You can imagine our disappointment when we walked inside and there was no hibachi grill to be seen (I guess they do this back in the kitchen). Normally this would have cost them a star or two as that is what we were looking for, but I could not in good faith give them three stars when the food and service we received was well above average. We have had a run of average or worse experience with Americanized Chinese lately. Every place we have tried in the past several years ranged from average to horrid. We ordered the lunch special which came with an entree, fried or steamed rice and your choice of soup. A decent spread for just over $6. The soup arrived and was surprisingly good. Most wonton soups have overcooked mush noodles, not here. The noodle was firm and perfectly cooked, the broth was light and tasty. Very good ! The fried rice was nothing special, not bad but not great. The entrees however were outstanding!!! Finally some decent Sesame Chicken and an incredible Mongolian Beef. The portions were generous, probably more than we normally would have eaten, but the food was so good and we were so happy to have found decent Chinese takeout that honestly we couldn't help but over eat. The service was average, not bad at all but not great. The atmosphere was maybe average or above. The only reason they got 4 and not fIve stars was the dirty table (was kinda sticky) and the lack of the hibachi we came in for. I will start by saying that I love the guy that works that here - he's hilarious and very helpful. This is just your typical Chinese restaurant, not much of anything stands out to me. The restaurant is clean and modern. You get huge portions of food, even with the lunch special. They do make an excellent fried rice. It's moist and fresh every time we go. We walked in late afternoon searching for a late lunch meal. We were the only patrons in the place. The lady behind the counter said pick a seat wherever you like. The dining space was very nice and stylish in chocolate tones. The lady brought over menus and took our drink orders. She promptly gave us our drinks while we pondered over the large menu. Dear son is not a "Chinese" food fan. He enjoys the hibachi flavors better so he was very surprised when he found it on their menu. Their hibachi meal comes with soup choice or salad, meat choice of course with rice and veggies with optional noodles for extra charge. Dear Son ordered the clear broth soup, chicken teriyaki, rice with veggies and noodles. Dear Mother ordered the salad, chicken teriyaki, rice with veggies and noodles. And I ordered salad, shrimp, rice with veggies and extra noodles. We could clearly hear the cook in the back preparing food. The lady brought out three large plates of noodles flavored with cuts of veggies. They were fresh, hot and delicious. The flavor was not that of the typical Japanese teriyaki noodles. They were more like an umami chicken depth. Very good noodles. Just as I thought I was about a fourth done with my noodles here comes our entrees. Large pile of brown rice with broccoli, cut potatoes, onion and our meat choice. My shrimp was about a medium and several pieces throughout the vegetable mix. Again, very fresh tasting, hot and delicious. They also have the "yum yum" sauce. Dear Son and Dear Mom enjoyed theirs as well. We didn't even finish half our plates before we were giving out huge sighs of fullness. Our drinks were filled as needed, to go boxes given quickly, check ready before anticipated. Everything was on cue. Very nice meal indeed! I highly recommend Chop Stick. I never want to try an Asian place unless I know someone has been and then I have still had some bad experiences. This place is by far one of the best Chinese restaurants I've ever been too. They have hands down the best fried rice and I order from them more times than I'd like to admit in any given month. It's so flavorful and they give you this sauce (their yum yum sauce) and it just makes it that much better. I know a lot of other places have that sauce as well but this one has different flavor and tastes amazing.
