I had my tub refinished in 2018, within a few months the paint started coming up. They came out and re-sprayed it. Within a year there was so much paint coming up. I was over the one year warranty period. I just recently hired another company and they stated they did not do the job correctly at all. Said they did no prep work, just sprayed the tub. I didn't realize they were supposed to sand the tub so the new paint would stick better. Hoping this refinishing sticks. I am super disappointed as this is a local business in my town and was hoping for better results. read more

My 1985 one piece tub/shower in bisque couldn't have been more gross looking. It looked filthy at all times no matter how much I scrubbed it! There was nothing wrong structurally with it though, so when a neighbor had shown me his recently refinished tub/shower by New Look Refinishing, I called right away. I'm so glad I did, as for a fraction of the cost of replacing a perfectly fine tub/shower, I got it refinished so now my tub/shower looks brand new! I couldn't be happier with it. Christian did a great job and the customer service women (Robin I think) is sharp as a tack and so responsive and good at her job - a rare breed these days. Hey so great job on the glazing but can't really believe you sent an unvaccinated person without a mask to do the work. Before entering your employee tried to shake my hand when I asked if he was vaccinated. He was not. I politely asked him to wear a mask. He didn't have one. I let him in anyway because I have new tenants moving in and needed to get the work done, but was extremely uncomfortable. New Look Refinishing did a fine job on my cast iron bathtub. Their website provided all the information I needed to properly prep the area and learn about the refinishing process and materials. Robin answered all my questions over the phone, provided proof of insurance and confirmed our appointment by email. The quoted price was a reasonable market rate which they stuck to, and even accommodated my request for a non-slip finish at a small add-on cost. When the tub developed rust around the drain two months later, they quickly sent out a technician to repair it -- at no extra charge. Overall the work was done carefully with adequate ventilation and masking of the nearby surfaces so that there was no over-spray, and when I pointed out a couple small imperfections to the technician he corrected them immediately. read more

My appointment was at noon. At 2 pm I called the office to ask for an eta. They said they would call me back but instead I got an automated text saying the technician will be here by 3:07(terrible customer service). Now the tech shows up 3 hours late and has zero customer relations training, think I may of been the first customer he's ever spoken to. After 20 mins in my house he tells me he has some things to point out(it's now 3:30 and they close at 4) He says he spoke to his manager and he has to pull all the paint up that I sealed the cracks with. Then he will have to lay down a fiberglass pad and come back Monday to finish. This would add atleast $150 to the job that was already quoted. I had already told them I sealed the tub and I needed the cracks fixed and refinished. I even asked if they wanted to inspect the job before hand but instead they said no and quotes me just off of pictures. Now after taking a day off of work to be here they are saying only part of the job can be done seeing they only work till 4 and don't want to pay overtime. I would now lose my one bathroom for 5 days and be charged extra because they don't know how to price a job. I would give them zero stars if I could. read more

Unfortunately, New Look Refinishing recently sprayed a bathtub in my bathroom renovation. Despite being pretty unhappy with the work, I will try to provide an objective review. The work done was very poor craftsmanship and lacked respect for their customer's homes. In short: there was overspray on the new tile floor, bare spots where the tub just wast not sprayed, large drips both on the interior and exterior of the tub, and a surprisingly uneven finish. I asked to have the tub fixed and to talk to the manager. I received no response from the manager. The same technician who originally sprayed did come back and tried to correct the mistakes. Even with the "fixes" the tub is still poorly finished. There are still drips, a pool of paint on the tub bottom, overspray on the wall tile and fixtures, and lack of coverage. I am unsure if this is the best work New Look Refinishing can do, but I would look elsewhere for your tub/tile refinishing needs. There is the possibility my tub was too technically challenging to refinish for New Look Refinishing, but if that was the case I wish they would have mentioned that prior to starting to job. Lastly, I should say the technician that came out was very kind, punctual, and courteous. read more

We have a pretty standard 5 foot tub that used to be white sometime back in the '80s. When our building was converted to condos, the developer did everything half-assed and used a DIY refinishing kit from a big-box store, which was flaking off all over the tub. (If you're thinking of using a DIY kit, don't.) These guys grind off the old coating, and airbrush on the new stuff. There's an optional non-slip coating they can put on the bottom, which is great. The process takes about 2 and a half hours, but the smell takes about 12 hours to completely dissipate, so maybe go out to dinner or something afterward. The tub is usable after 24 hours. I was referred to this company when another refinisher had to cancel for a family emergency. New Look was able to accommodate the last minute schedule, and the tub looks a million times better than it used to. More importantly, however, is their customer service. There was a small issue with the installation that I noticed a few hours after the install. I left a voicemail for them that night, expecting I'd have to re-schedule someone to come out in a week or so. Instead, they had someone there the next day to fix everything up. I can't think of the last time I had a 12 hour turnaround time on customer service. That's the kind of thing that will ensure I recommend this company to my friends. read more

I had one bath enclosure and one shower stall refinished. Both came out better than brand new. Timmy and Jay were AMAZING! The quote I got for both bathrooms was reasonable to begin with, then they encountered something unexpected in the shower stall. They explained everything along the way. The job that was quoted/priced to take five or six hours, ended up being a 9 hour + job and much more extensive than originally thought. They honored the original quote and didn't charge me one nickel more. They really are a great group to work with and are so meticulous in their work. A week later, I had a question about an area in the bath and they immediately returned to make an adjustment. I can't say enough great things about this company and the beautiful work they did for me. I highly recommend them. read more

We had this company come in and paint our yellow bathroom tiles white. We were away when they did the job but were very pleased with the results when we got home. On closer inspection, however, we noticed that they had missed many areas of the grout on one wall of the shower, so those spots appear grayish compared to the rest of the white-painted grout. After emailing and calling several times, they finally agreed to come out and see what I meant. After seeing what it was, he fixed a few spots but said he couldn't do all of the places I referred to. Instead, he left me small bottles of paint to do it myself. Um, thanks. They do a nice job overall, but be sure you inspect closely before they leave. read more
