As I told them, they have earned their 5 stars! They are very, very nice, helpful, and professional. I waited for a little while in their nice office, but I didn't have to wait long. When I saw Dr. Burris, he had actually read my file (information submitted prior to visit)! He also had already looked at the x-Ray I got just prior to the appointment. He examined my knee thoroughly and listened to whatever I had to say. After that, Dr. Burris went through all treatment options with me after telling me that my knee problems were from severe arthritis; because I'm also concerned about costs, we discussed that as well. I chose the cortisone shots in my knee, and received one right away. No follow-up necessary until I need him again. It's rare that I can say this, but it was a very pleasant medical experience. The first time I was matched with a woman who kept pressing me to tell her my mental health issues even when I said I was not comfortable she then told me she would find out through my medical records. I told my doctor I didn't want to go back but was referred there again. Then I was matched with a male who actually tried making fun of me for being injured (and at a young age) and then tried making sexual comments towards me. He said this isn't my business but are you able to perform sexually when you're experiencing the pain.... Absolutely ridiculous. And then he assured me the treatment would approved by my insurance but it was denied due to a lack of information submitted by him. And he wasn't taking me serious the entire time kept telling me to just stop wearing certain shoes. Even when I tried explaining how serious my injury was. And no one ever called me to explain why I was denied treatment I had to call myself and they told me I'd be getting a call back with more details and never did. This place is awful and the people who work here have serious issues.

After answering quite a number of questions, I was escorted to the back examining room. Unlike most sterile clinical environments, her office had a very homey inviting feel to it. Remember those good old days when your doctor actually spent a fair amount of time with you answering your questions and explaining the procedure. Dr. Toussaint was empathetic and let me know what was going to happen. She let me know the infection had not spread to the bone, but she needed to numb the toe with 2 shots of a local anesthetic before she had to cut away the nail to treat the infection. Surprisingly, there was very little discomfort and she gave me some great instructions on how to care for it in the coming days after she bandaged it up. One thing you do need to know is that when it's time to settle up with the co-pay, you will also have to settle up the remainder of what your insurance will not pay. In other words, you will need to bring a credit card or cash because she does not send you a bill. With BCBS, our total bill was just $80. Dr. Toussaint is definitely one of those rare doctors that really spends some quality time with you and makes sure that you are properly taken care of. Informative photos included.

I've gone to other PT places before for other injuries and I hated that I didn't get fully dedicated time with my main PT. Many places will have physical therapists see 2-4 patients at a time so this time around, I wanted to find a place that did 1-1 individualized focused sessions. This is hard to come by but I had a friend of a friend recommend Hybrid Physical Therapy and so I decided to give it a try. I am so glad I found this place. I unfortunately got my injury 3 months before I was supposed to get married. I told Vinh my main goal was to be able to comfortably walk down the aisle and dance at my wedding. I was able to walk a lot sooner than I thought, danced all night and had the most amazing wedding day. Post wedding, I continued to work with Vinh to build back strength and I could have not done this without him. Vinh is so knowledgeable and really knows his stuff. I don't think I would have recovered as fast as I did if I didn't have that 1-1 time - it was a game changer! I also worked with Estefania a couple of times when Vinh was out and she was also really great and had amazing sessions with her. You can't go wrong with either of them! Well, I'll try to make a very long story short. First off, don't bother with laser treatment for…read moretoe nail fungus, it doesn't work. My big toe on my left foot started to turn yellow on the corner after an injury where the nail almost came off about 5 years ago. I took care of it for many years and the fungus never really spread. Well, I decided to go in and have laser treatment done. He quoted me $900 dollars to treat the ONE toe. He told me that he would have to treat the other four on the same foot just to make sure (there's nothing wrong with them), but I said fine. I came in the following week, he shaved my entire big toe down, which is what I think eventually caused the problem I have now, and did the laser treatment which took about 15 mins. He explained to me that I would need to put this nail ointment on it everyday twice a day, which I did religiously. He told me to come back in three months. In three months I come back and you can tell it's beginning to spread to the bottom of my toenail. They even compared the before and after pics and it was very noticeable. He told me to continue doing what I was doing and come back in another three months. I come back and the toenail is completely yellow and coming off. He questioned whether I was using the ointment, in which I told him I never miss a day. He looked perplexed and told me to buy some over the counter Lamisil cream and use that on my nail and come back in three months! I came back and it was clear that I was in much worse shape. My nail was thick yellow and the fungus had worked it's way down to the cutical. I asked him if we could do another treatment and he said that would cost another 4-500 dollars. I asked him what my other options were and he told me take a pill which may work, but I have to take a test to see if my liver can handle it, laser it again, remove the nail, or just walk away!!!! After consideration, I said, "well, let's remove it then". He told me that would be an addition 3-$400 dollars for a 15 in procedure. He then rushed me out and told me to think about it and call him back. Well, I've called his office 6 times and have left 6 messages with his staff, all of which said they'd have him call me back. No call. The last call I told them that I would lilke half my money back since my situation iis much worse and I'm out $1000. They told me if I understand that there's no guarantee's in medicine! So I guess I'm out $1000 with a situation much much worse off. At least before the procedure it was just slightly discolored, now it's thick and half way fallen off.

An assistant gave me a little elastic sleeve over my foot like you get at the drugstore and left. I saw a different physician at a different clinic who listened to my medical history, examined me thoroughly, took X rays, and discovered osteoarthritis. Please save yourself time and money. Dr. Smith comes off arrogant, rude and unprofessional. The way it was discussed was not thorough. After the visit I did look elsewhere, but because of timing I came back. Make sure you do not come back. Look elsewhere. The staff does not know how to schedule your appointment. Be careful. Theresa tries to get you in but the timing is off, the entire office is off and the experience will leave you in aww in the most WORST way! They do not check in with you to see how you are--- so don't expect a call back. Possibly the most rudest form of respect in the lowest way possible. If you plan on doing ANY sedation look elsewhere. The procedure went well, I did not experience any pain or discomfort during and Mark and his team were professional and courteous. If you need dental work done, head here, you will be in good hands. Edit: It is now one week since the surgery. Marc used a local time released anesthetic on the extraction site and told me around day 3 there would be some pain. Day 1-3 there was almost no pain, on day 4 and 5 my jaw was a little tight but still very little pain, the surgery is now healed as far as I can tell and I couldn't be happier with the results. If you want an pain free extraction experience Marc is the guy to see!
