After answering quite a number of questions, I was escorted to the back examining room. Unlike most sterile clinical environments, her office had a very homey inviting feel to it. Remember those good old days when your doctor actually spent a fair amount of time with you answering your questions and explaining the procedure. Dr. Toussaint was empathetic and let me know what was going to happen. She let me know the infection had not spread to the bone, but she needed to numb the toe with 2 shots of a local anesthetic before she had to cut away the nail to treat the infection. Surprisingly, there was very little discomfort and she gave me some great instructions on how to care for it in the coming days after she bandaged it up. One thing you do need to know is that when it's time to settle up with the co-pay, you will also have to settle up the remainder of what your insurance will not pay. In other words, you will need to bring a credit card or cash because she does not send you a bill. With BCBS, our total bill was just $80. Dr. Toussaint is definitely one of those rare doctors that really spends some quality time with you and makes sure that you are properly taken care of. Informative photos included.

She recommended that I should wear something more comfortable. I bought a pair of shoes at her clinic since they were the most appropriate with the type of feet I have. During my appointment, Dr Toussaint was very kind and patient with me. I definitely recommend Advanced foot and Ankle Family Clinic. They are the best. Marie

I told him the foot gets more impact due to highly documented foot drop as one leg is slightly longer than the other and was injured in a jump. I showed him my swollen ankle as well. He dismissed my concerns and tried to sell me a pair of custom orthotics for $500 CASH. I didn't bite. I already knew I could get those for$100 elswhere. He left the room. An assistant gave me a little elastic sleeve over my foot like you get at the drugstore and left. I saw a different physician at a different clinic who listened to my medical history, examined me thoroughly, took X rays, and discovered osteoarthritis. Avoid Lamour; all I was to him was a payment on his Porche.

The office staff is friendly, on the ball and very accommodating. They have helped me with insurance questions and issues. Their follow through and follow up is incredible. Words cannot describe how fantastic Dr. LaMour is. He is patient, kind and also accommodating. He is extremely knowledgeable. He's one of the very few doctors we can talk directly via phone or send email and actually get a response. The bottom line is Dr. LaMour and his staff care about their patients and have not forgotten why they got into the business.

And yet, he said I need knee replacements, but he'll brainstorm w/me on other possibilities. I REALLY liked this guy. No "I'm a doctor, bow down" superiority bullshit, just a good firm handshake and the truth. Respect. Going to strongly consider everything he said. He even listened respectfully when I told him I had stemcells and exosomes injected 8 weeks ago and they are really helping. Alas, I stepped on this left knee wrong a few days ago and thought I had better be seen. Awesome doctor, and my new ortho. 5 stars, solid.

STATS: Plenty of free parking On the north side of Huntington Dr. Friendly knowledgeable staff ESSENTIALS: Clothing that provides easy access to affected area EXPERIENCE: After months of pain and still holding the referral my primary doctor wrote up, I finally made an appointment to have this pain in the elbow examined, Dr. Z's nurse asked me a plethora of questions about my injury prior to Dr. Z's entry. Shortly after the Q & A with the nurse, Dr. Z walked in, greeted me with a smile, a handshake and pleasantries. After a few more questions some squeezing, bending and pushing, voila!!!!... lateral epicondylitis, aka tennis elbow. Wait!!!!....Wha?!?!? I don't even play tennis. After conducting some research, studies show that trauma such as direct blows to the epicondyle (femur), a sudden forceful pull, or forceful extension cause more than half of these injuries. It has also been known that incorrectly playing tennis may cause early stages of tennis elbow as shock is received when mishitting the ball. Yeah, couldn't say what exactly caused this injury....have ya read my activity reviews?!?!?! Anyway, he gave me two options, one, a brace for several weeks and possibly physical therapy, or two, a shot of, I cut him off as I was not interested in a shot of anything, except, perhaps a tasty beverage. I digress. Not wanting to leave just yet, as I like to get my co-pays worth in, I brought up another issue I've been having. 'Come on, let's look at the x-rays', he says. Badabing badaboom, another specialist misdiagnosed me. Dr. Z wrote down some options to help with the other aliment and I was on my way. Came in with an elbow issue, walked out with a wrist brace and knowledge and helpful tips my Podiatrist didn't tell me about my foot. Kudos Dr. Z!!! The next day I called my primary to request she change yet another referral to Dr. Z. After all, his specializes in sports medicine and if you've read any of my non-food, or perhaps in even food reviews, I'm not a couch potato.

Over the years my conditions have flummoxed and bamboozled many specialists before nailing down answers and therapies. Throughout the ups and downs, Dr. Lewis has been a rock solid, effective, thoughtful, and calm partner in my search for answers. He communicates well with me as well as the other doctors and medical specialists that hammer away at my fairly dilapidated body. Dr. Lewis is like an anchor in the storm of craziness that is my health history. As is probably obvious, I like that guy and highly recommend him.

They leave the phone off the hook so that no one can get through, I was on hold for 3+ hours until my phone died. Forget it if you have a UTI, first urine test no cultures were ordered, 2nd test I was prescribed 5 days of antibiotics for 3 different things that showed up, now they want a 3rd test in as many weeks. As much as I like the doctor himself I am not going to deal with office staff like this. I hope to hear his office staff is fired and I will go back at that point. It really is a shame because he is a good doctor and I enjoyed going to him. I am not sure who needs this info, but I was floored to find out just how egregious the care from this PA was. First UTI lab cultures, on average, per the CDC, give a false negative 33% of the time. Next a new culture should not be ordered for at a minimum of 3 days after the last dose of antibiotics and 7 days is the standard minimum recommendation. In other words any clinician ordering labs directly after a course of antibiotics is gas lighting every single person into believing they have some other issue, primarily pelvic floor issues and they recommend bathroom training schedules for pelvic floor issues, so hold your urine despite being told to drink absurd amounts of water so you are very actively making the situation worse and then clinicians wonder why there are resistant strains. "Healthcare professionals" are prescribing low doses that strengthen the resistance and then further increasing the resistance through gas lighting people to hold their pee for hours, I dumfounded beyond belief, just goes to show that you absolutely must do your own research. Is this some sort of bizarre and sick experiment on American women? I also have zero doubt that if this were primarily a male issue that this would not be going on.
