We had our first visit with Dr. Corrigan today over a 5-year old problem with the pad of my wife's big toe. We'd been to a few doctors about this. My daughter has had increasingly bad repeating ingrown toenails over the last 3 years. The last couple years they became infected and required increasingly potent antibiotics to kill. This year she got one that wouldn't go away no matter how it was treated by our family doctor, so we were referred to Dr. Corrigan by several very satisfied patients in our neighborhood. His office on 620 is a little hard to find the first time, and it doesn't look like all the big company offices churning through patients. Dr. Corrigan instilled confidence and treated my daughter several times, and the ingrown toenails I think are finally treated, hopefully permanently. It wasn't painless, but Dr. Corrigan listened and communicated very well and kept us from getting frustrated or scared when multiple treatments were required. And we know what to do and when to react if anything should flare up again. I am so proud of how my daughter withstood several outpatient procedures, and she was able to do that because she trusted Dr. Corrigan and he kept her calm and in control. Dr. Corrigan is the best, most honest podiatrist I've been to in Austin! If you are looking for a fancy office with nice magazines, food and a long wait, then this place isn't for you. But if you want a Dr. that listens and truly cares about his patients and you are not just a number Dr. Corrigan is your Dr. He helped my 18 year old son last summer and had pain in his knees so bad he couldn't stand by the end of the day. The orthopedic spent less than a minute with us and said he's fine, nothing's wrong. Then went to Dr. Corrigan who knew immediately what he needed and fitted him with orthotics and even worked with him personally for a few appointments on exercises so he could start to feel better. Fast forward to a year later, this kid is a different kid, he walks miles on campus and his knees/feet feel great. Now my husband and I are going to be fitted for orthotics.
