I dropped off my car and I always get a little uneasy at auto shops cause you feel like you're vulnerable but my experience was amazing. I checked in and waited in the lobby. They have free water, snacks and coffee. They came up to me shortly after and said that my sensor wasn't working and there was no pressure on getting it replaced. They said it would cost about $200 to fix and it actually was the price I was expecting if that was the issue. I just didn't want to pay that for a sensor. And the mechanic told me that he doesn't blame me. I asked how much it would be and he said nothing. They even adjusted my tire pressure since some were off due to filling it with air at the gas stations and they aren't the most accurate. I really wasn't expecting this kind of service and would come back to this place in the future for services to my vehicle. Awesome place!

They offer a convenient after-hours drop-off box, a nice waiting area, and a location right off a major beltway. I was also impressed by how clean and well-maintained the parking lot and repair facility were. With over 35 years in business, they clearly have an established presence in the community. My main concern was the cost of diagnostics and repairs. I was quoted approximately $900 for diagnostics and the recommended work, with individual diagnostic charges ranging from about $160-$200 (see attached estimate). After getting additional estimates, I found a local garage that was able to complete ALL the repairs for about the same price as Caton Auto Clinic's original quote. Since my son's car was older, the repair cost was approaching the overall value of the vehicle, so I had to carefully consider whether the expense made sense. I understand that quality service and experienced technicians come at a cost, but I recommend asking for a detailed estimate and clarifying all diagnostic fees upfront before authorizing any work. I also noticed their billboard advertising a $79.99 oil change, which seems like a great deal in today's market! Overall, Caton Auto Clinic has a lot of positives, including friendly customer service, a clean facility, and a convenient location , coffee area . If I had a newer car, I would absolutely consider using them. For an older vehicle, however, I would recommend comparing estimates first to make sure the cost of repairs is worthwhile.

The problems (or possible ones) are generally explained in a way that fills in the gaps in your knowledge without making you seem stupid; it actually feels like they want to educate you instead of begrudgingly explaining enough to justify you opening your wallet (including different brands/qualities of a particular part). It's a good sign that they are so busy, so even though it's sometimes tough to wait a few days to get on their schedule, it's worth it. Even then, I had a problem with my brakes the other day, and Chris explained his theory over the phone, took it for a test drive(s), realized it could be a quick fix, and took care of it right away for less than I was expecting. I happened across Certified Car Care and decided to give it a go based on the positive reviews, though I was a bit nervous they were located on an industrial back road and I couldn't really tell if they even had a lobby. They do have a lobby. You do have to drive into a fenced-in lot that makes you wonder if the place is open to the public, but once inside the front desk staff was friendly and everyone was taking COVID precautions. At first I was told to leave my car to pick up much later, but after checking with Tim he said he could fit me in next. I got the sense from lots of drop-offs that they primarily work with dealers; the only other person waiting for their car seemed to be a family friend--also a good sign. Chatting with the front desk staff, she mentioned that Tim only operates through word of mouth--clearly that's all he needs. My car initially failed inspection for the tints on my windows, which I've had since purchasing the car used. When I asked about how difficult they'd be to get off, Tim said he'd look and then I saw him just peeling them off himself, no extra charge. I feel relieved to have found this place for future repairs.

If there's any question, they'll take you into the shop and show you what needs fixing and why. 2) They're reasonable - Prices aren't out of this world, even for foreign cars. They don't replace parts just because they can, either. I've never had a service with them go over the estimate unless they uncovered a larger, unanticipated problem. 3) They deliver on time - when they say they'll finish servicing your vehicle by a certain time, it's almost always done by that time. If you've got a rush job, they'll try to fit you in when they can, and usually manage to get your repair done by your requested time. 4) They don't treat you like an idiot, even if you wear a skirt - my wife gets the same professional treatment as I do. When she took a previous car in thinking the power steering pump would need replacing, they reassured her that a much less expensive belt and tensioner would be all that was necessary. 5) They're pretty friendly, too - Ridgeway's been in the neighborhood for a long time, and they work to maintain their reputation. Plus they get to work in a cool old gas station as the front part of their garage center.
