Horrible customer service! Got an order delivered and paid cash. When I opened the bags, my main course was missing, and there was a bowl of rice instead. I called immediately. They asked if I wanted to "add" my main course. I explained that I paid for it already, and still had the order on my computer screen. They didn't apologize. I waited for redelivery. No one came. I called again, asking when to expect my main course. Again I was asked if I would like to add this order. Are you kidding me? Again I explained the situation. They said they would credit me for next time. There will be no next time! I want my dinner the way I ordered it and paid for. The lobster roll should be called the Waldo roll, because it's easier to find Waldo than it is lobster. Not impressed. First and final experience with this place. read more

I've eaten here several times, prices are reasonable, sushi is top notch and the decor is very up-to-date. Andy, the manager is great at customer service as well. My relative who is a seafood buyer and travels the world...rated the quality very high! He's tough to please and I usually go for steak with him bc I don't want to hear him complain about seafood quality...but he raved about Kanda! I have to say, this was some of the worst Chinese food I have ever had. I ordered beef mei fun. It tasted like seafood. Also the chicken with bok Choy. Awful. The chicken had an odd consistency and the sauce had NO flavor whatsoever. Would not recommend. read more

New Kanda had a variety of dishes to make everyone happy. My daughter loves chicken tempura rolls and not many places make it. Complimentary edamame I was a nice touch. I ordered couple of times from here, food is good in general: chicken fried rice was decent, salmon teriyaki was not bad too. I also ordered fried calamri, however for the price they charge there was little in the box! Eat in, delivery, this place is pretty good for fast Chinese food. It's not as greasy, nor too high in sugar, so it's a fairly palatable menu. Parking is a little bit tight... I'd opt for the free delivery over 15. Price is reasonable. Portion is not huge. read more

Not only is the food amazing but the manager, Andy makes your time there a 10 star experience. He welcomes you with a hug and takes care of you the entire dinner. The atmosphere is awesome, bathrooms are super clean and staff is great. We have tried a lot of dishes they have and everything has been top notch. Been going here for 5 months and still love the food. summer roll is great and the shrimp shumai is great. The food is not salty so we're never thirsty like other places can get. Many of the sushi dishes look like works of art. Always tip the sushi chefs in their jar we didn't know our 20% wasn't split with the sushi chefs and they deserve tips! read more

We live in the area and have tried most of the Asian restaurants, which we often have take-out from. This one is as good as they come. The food is fresh and it's quality. We have had some Chinese and Japanese dishes\k, but they offer other Asian cuisines, such as Thai. They have specials that are different, such as Roast Duck salad. Their fried rice brings back memories, it is crisp and fresh, and chock full of extras if you order the house special. They are very accomodating, substituting, or steaming with sauce on the side. Their Baby Bok Choi is fabulous and their shrimp are the quality type and fairly large, and they don't skimp on them. The sushi is tender and fresh. Currently, Kanda offers a 20% discount--- take advantage of it!~ The food is fabulous. read more

Every negative review about this place is about its Chinese food, but this place is a sushi restaurant and that is what it truly excels at. I'm a huge sushi/sashimi fan and the quality is amazing along with the decor and atmosphere. Went here for the first time today with a friend. From the start it was a great experience. The manager/inner came up to us and seated us quickly, even shook my hand. I ordered the tri color sushi entree which was very fresh and delicious. The presentation was amazing, I almost didn't want to touch it it looked so good. Presentation is something I love about sushi and this place does an amazing job of laying out the plate. Highly recommend this place for a good sushi lunch or dinner. We ordered take out on February 14th, 2016 and when I started eating, I found a long dark 6 inch black hair entangled in my roll that I pulled from my mouth! DISGUSTING! Called to speak to the manger who asked to please bring it in so he could see it, as if i was lying, he took one look at it and gave me my money back. Our family loves New Kanda! We especially like going to the restaurant on Friday nights or over the weekend because they often have a nice singer who lends to the ambiance of the place and my girls love eating their food with the "kid-friendly" chopsticks. The food is really very good, whether you get Chinese options or go more the Japanese route. Recently tried their pork dumplings, though, and they weren't my favorite. It's a little pricey but we feel like the quality usually meets the price. Getting a table usually isn't a problem and the wait staff is very friendly and accommodating. read more

I've eaten here many times. Foods are fresh and great, excellent and friendly service. They serving sushi, sashimi, Japanese hot food and Southeast Asian food.
