The first thing that stood out was the beautiful old building that the pub happens to be located in, but then again, I suspect that this old building has always been a pub. The thing that really grabbed me though, other than the beer garden of course, was the selection of beers on tap, something that I hadn't seen much of earlier in the day. Only one thing I can fault is the courtesy bus driver, who is extremely rude and complains. Understandably he doesn't have the easiest of jobs dealing with drunk patrons but his attitude is poor. Hopefully this was a one off situation and he enjoys his job regularly as you could tell on the night we used him he didn't want to be there. I'd of much rather of paid $10 for an uber home than deal with his whinging, this is the only reason I couldn't give a 5 star review. To end on a positive note I will say the security are outstanding and look after the patrons well and overall the Lapstone hotel is a safe, friendly environment.
