For a pub it's o-kay. Decently sized food portions at a slightly reasonable price. Friendly, attentive staff and cheap beers. Interior is not much to behold and looks like it hasn't changed in 5+ years. Would give a 3.5 if Yelp had the option. read more

And the staff are usually pretty lovely, and beers are cheap, and the food is... well, it's OK. It's no gastropub if that's what you're wondering. Royal Hotel is a dainty pub located in the centre of Springwood. It's not too fancy, and hardly ever crowded, but it gets the job done. They have a quaint little seating area outside, for those who want to smoke, or just enjoy the fresh (read: nicotine-y) air, with wooden tables and chairs, looking out onto the street. Rooms are available for any weary travelers among us, and the staff are friendly. They're only too happy to help you with questions about accommodation, or about the kinds of beer on offer, or about their personal lives... as I found out when I hit the bottle a little too hard and started asking wildly inappropriate questions.
