If I could have chosen 0 stars, I would have. I've been going to this dentist office for many…read moreyears, maybe over 20 years in all. The last couple years, it's gotten worse for many reasons. The good visits or incidents with the staff USED TO BE more often good than bad the years prior, but the last couple years it's the COMPLETE OPPOSITE and my anxiety is so bad just coming here to this office only...nowhere else in my life over these last few years has caused me this extreme anxiety to need to take xanax just to enter their office! I had many years with little to no anxiety issues going there, with exception of the front desk employees that have always been an issue. The front desk (main lady you would interact with EVERY SINGLE TIME you go there) is the most CONDESCENDING person and SHOULD NOT BE working such a primary role in a position where you have to deal with customers first hand. She's almost always been this way since I've known her for over 20 years I've been coming to Dr Jenn & Dr Mack Greder, unless you very rarely catch her on a good day when she's not (less than 5 times in over 20 years going here). She was so rude and condescending when I called to ask her about an upcoming cavity filling that I recall getting done in the same area on the same tooth they said needed done in 2 weeks. I was just trying to inquire if this was the one they did last Fall (just over 5 months before) to see if that cavity filling itself had an issue that I was asking if it would be covered by them (if the exact same spot, which I suspected as they did a cavity filling and worked on that exact spot on the tooth in question just 5 months before), only to be treated so horribly over the phone. And her exact words she said to me were, "I can't explain this to you over the phone because you don't understand the correct terminology, so you just need to come in the day of your scheduled cavity filling to have it explained at that time." When asked if she could just have Dr Jenn Greder, who I've been with for over 20 years, call and explain it to me over the phone when she had a chance (because Dr Jenn Greder has a WAY BETTER BEDSIDE MANNER & talks to people with respect), she condescendingly said, "no, she can't do that." This caused me to cancel my upcoming appt for the cavity filling, and I will also cancel all future appts with the dental office now. I will be switching dental providers as well. Nobody should be treated this way!!! Nor should an employer keep any, especially tenured employees employed, if they are always so negative and rude to customers. They impact your business in a very bad way when they are the person the customer more than likely HAS TO deal with everytime they reach out or enter your business! Another previous issue I had with them was when I had a cavity filling 5 months ago. I requested to have as for that appt to calm my nerves. They told me they needed to know ahead of time if I was sure I wanted it or not as they had a pregnant hygienist working, which was totally fine, so we scheduled it during a time that they said was when she would be out of the office on her lunch break so that I could get it without interfering with her health and schedule. When I came in for my appt at the scheduled time they told me would work best for that employee, this same condescending lady who works there told me that the employee was running behind with their client, but originally was set to have her lunch break then but "someone" scheduled an appt during my scheduled time with another hygienist so she was late to go to lunch now (not my error...theirs).She said that I had to come back "maybe" an estimated 30 min later to try to do the appt then. I had made childcare arrangements and agreed to come back despite my appt time not being kept for what they planned, but I still did the appt...but over 30 min behind schedule. Thankfully my childcare provider was still available and that I didn't have another appt soon after or I would have been forced to rescedule due to their inability to keep the scheduled time correct for the appt. Also, at the cavity filling 5 months ago and almost EVERY SINGLE APPT I have went to over the last few years, I have to take a Xanax or two in the parking lot before I go in to calm my nerves. This office and especially that condescending employee have done their toll on my nerves. I don't need to take Xanax ANY OTHER TIME in my life for the last few years EXCEPT to go to THEIR OFFICE for teeth cleanings, cavity fllings, and to just walk in and buy more toothpaste. And EVERY SINGLE TIME, this same employee tells me I just need to relax and to take Xanax but then every single time I say I took it, she says you know you can't drive when you take it and you really shouldn't be taking that. You can't win with her! This same employee has left between a $100-200 credit on my acct for YEARS without issuing a refund check or even letting me know I had a balance!

My husband retired from the military after 30 years of service and we moved back to Omaha to be…read morecloser to our family. We chose Total Dental because our insurance took it and it was close to our house without looking at the reviews. I went there for my first 2 regular cleanings. I go regularly every 6 months. They told my husband he should go every 3 months (he went even though he had to pay out of pocket for one of the cleanings every year). I had extreme pain in my front tooth because of a possible injury when I was younger. I saw Dr. Thorson, who is absolutely wonderful!! She saw me right away and referred me to an Endodontics practice. The practice that accepted my insurance couldn't get me in for over a month. Dr. Thorson stated to me in front of the dental hygienist that "if I ran out of antibiotics before I got into to see the Midwest Endodontics that all I needed to do is call her up and she would prescribe some more to get me through until I could see them for the root canal." Unfortunately, she went on maternity leave (which I totally understand) BUT the office manager (Danica Wicht) had no back up plan for her. When, I called some dental hygienist that I had absolutely no prior dental relationship with called me and stated to me "that they don't do that". She also kept saying "she wasn't in the room with me" I told her I knew that she wasn't in the room with me. I kindly asked her if she had my chart to look at and she said no. I was very shocked that a medical professional that hadn't been in the room with me (her own words) wouldn't have the chart to rely on. She never asked me my pain level either. Not one time during our phone conversation. Very disturbing as when you look at Total Dental's website they describe themselves as dental anxiety experts with over 40 years of experience. I asked to speak to an office manager and Dr. Courtney Molettiere got on. This woman needs to never me in medicine or dental care. Her bio reads "One of my favorite things about my profession is the chance to build relationships with patients" She is not an experienced Dentists. Read her bio and prior reviews about her. Highly do NOT recommend her. Very immature and never even read my chart before talking to me. You can see from other reviews, that other patients have said that EXACT same thing that I'm saying about Dr. Molettietiere. She was rude, unprofessional, never looked at my chart. Also found out later from the Practice Manager, that she shared information with 3 other people in her office (that was not necessary) and a complete violation of HIPPA. My medical information should only be shared on a need-to-know basis. They should realize that. In addition, I paid out of pocket for X-rays and was not even notified of the costs upfront. This practice has very inexperienced Dentists. I've gone to Dentists across the country my entire life AND never experienced the unprofessionalism of this office including the practice manager who called me from her cell phone in car and didn't even have my chart or information to know what she was referring to. The only thing she could say is she knew everyone in the "Office for 10 years" This should be handled using actual facts like a business NOT a like a friendship. In short, you have TONS of options in Elkhorn. I found another Dental practice within a few hours for my husband and me that honored both our military service and was kind and friendly, verified my insured, gave me upfront costs. Read their website of what they promise and then read the many reviews of patients that have actually visited this horrible dental clinic specifically the Elkhorn, Nebraska clinic. Highly DO NOT recommend this horrible practice!

I checked the billing and noticed a dental scan was not being covered by Blue Cross Blue Shield. At the time, the hygienist assured me all procedures would be covered my insurance. I called the billing department and was told my insurance rejected the panel scan as being unnecessary. They, of course would not waive the charge. I told them this business practice was unbecoming, unethical, and very misleading. I should have paid attention to the earlier Yelp review of a similar incident over a billing incident at this practice. I will NOT be returning back to this practice.

When I checked out I was told that my insurance would not cover any of the services I received or a new partial plate that had to be made and I had to pay $4000 up front!! The financial representative was quite rude and pushy. I told her that I would pay for services received that day and the rest when I received them but she said they needed the $ up front to pay the lab. I find it hard to believe that the practice had no operating expenses! I paid the $4000. Two months later, after contacting my insurance carrier, I found that the claim was filed incorrectly and some of the services I received were covered and I had been overcharged. I made several attempts to contact the financial representative at the office and she would not return my calls. When I finally reached her she told me that refund was being held for some insurance policy that I signed for on the new partial. That was the first time I was told that such agreement existed! After three months and my insurance payment made to the practice, I finally got the refund. When I picked up the check I requested paperwork on the work completed as well as my treatment plan. Needless to say, I will not be going back to this dental office due to the rudeness and inefficiency of this person on their their staff!
