It happened to be Quality Dental Care. What a fearless and naive young adult I was- just blindly following the whims of fate. I was also pretty lucky because I ended up as a patient of Dr. Trumms for 12 years! I will be switching due to my insurance changing. And, let me tell you I'm seriously distraught over the situation. Hence- why I am writing this review. Looking into finding a new practice has shown me how lucky I have been over the years. While yes, there are several comfort features they offer to the more timid dental goers... I have established that I am fearless and never took the staff up on their offers of comfy blankets, TV's positioned above me, or massage chairs. What I found more appealing was the transparency in services. As the teeth nurses do their initial examination, they identify the strength of your gums and use a tiny camera to collect the data and input it into a computer to give you a visual. I no longer had to wonder how my teeth were doing because I was finding out in real time with their equipment. This is vastly different from other offices where the dentist just gives you the thumbs up or [thumbs] down. The Hygienists are knowledgable and always available for additional education if you prompt them. They stay very informed on the newest technologies including brushes, water picks, and types of toothpaste. They are seriously experts. I challenge you to ask them a question and wait for your mind to be blown. I can also attest that I have had many for years! It speaks volumes to find a staff so cohesive and long running... like Grey's Anatomy. They also communicate with ear pieces. If the doc is in the middle of a procedure, they will call for additional instruments instead of having to run in and out of the room. This increases the efficiency and reduces the amount of time one must spend in the chair with their mouth open in an obviously unflattering position. Speaking of flattering, shoutout to Brittany the real MVP of my glorious smile. The woman breaks it down for ya'. Instead of trying to compete with patients checking in at the front desk, there is a separate checkout desk to go over your visit and review charges. Goodbye surprise bills! She also helps you set up a follow up visit for your next cleaning. This is great because I would totally just run out the door and later find myself counting on my fingers how long its been since I had a cleaning. Now, I just have to glance at my calendar. Oh yeah, let's talk Trumm. He is a fantastic guy. A real family man. Every time I go in he gives me an update on the kiddos and asks how my life is going. Like seriously, so personable. He's also pretty great about adjusting lights so they aren't in my eyes and other little things that I'm currently blanking on. He has also saved me quite a bit of money. I have a spot on one of my teeth that any other doc would want to fill, but he has just been watching it. I love that he always takes the conservative approach. I can't tell you how many times this gent has saved me from uncomfortable procedures, down time, and excessive unnecessary spending. You can tell he really enjoys what he is doing and has fun. In my MANY years of coming here I have never been canceled on. I didn't realize what a big deal that is until I started my research of other offices. It really made me think, Dr. Trumm is the Bees knees. All in all, I'd say they're an iight group.

The check in process took quite awhile as they had quite a few clients all arriving at the same time. When I got back to the office I met with a dentist who launched into a pretty hard one sales pitch for implants. I already had a dentist and a treatment plan lined up. It was unexpected and way to hardcore fore 7 in the morning. When we finally got to the extraction they didn't put me all the way like another dentist had done. It was a surreal experience. I could hear the staff talking and could feel the dentist moving from tooth to tooth. It wasn't painful but it was unexpected. The worst part was we went over a bill before the procedure and I signed off on it. After I got home I got out the quote the did before the procedure and there was a difference of $500 in my favor. After a couple of conversations they issued me a check instead of crediting my credit card. Between the high pressure sales technique for implants, being semi awake for the extractions and the billing error I can't recommend this company.

My experience with this office was very disappointing…read more The original bone graft failed, but when I contacted the office early on to report that the graft material appeared to be dissolving and that significant amounts of grit were coming out, I was repeatedly told that this was normal and that nothing was wrong. It later became clear that the graft had not been successful. In addition, the need for a sinus lift was missed during the initial treatment planning. After my dentist spoke with the office, I was told they would review the CT scan my dentist provided and that I would not need to pay for another CT scan. However, when I later called to schedule a consultation, I was told multiple times that Dr. Wewel required a new consultation and another CT scan, despite the previous assurances. This comes at a cost of over $500. ($400 of which I already paid the dentist and Dr Wewel looked at that CT and said he could use it.) Communication was also frustrating. I left messages on multiple occasions and did not receive a return call. When I finally spoke with a treatment coordinator, I was again told that I would need to start the process over. I was also uncomfortable with the repeated pressure to purchase anesthesia for a relatively simple tooth extraction. Even after declining it several times, it continued to be included in the treatment plan, with the explanation that it could simply be refunded later if unused. I understand that complications can occur in dental treatment. What concerns me is the lack of accountability, inconsistent communication, and the feeling that additional charges were prioritized over addressing the issues with my original treatment. I expected more transparency and patient-centered care throughout the process.

He is absolutely amazing!!!!!  His knowledge, current technology and most of all his compassion for his patients is something that I can't even find words to describe.  I have had a lot of dental work done so I know the good from the bad I have 100% trust in Dr Shnayder and his amazing staff.   The office is absolutely gorgeous!!! The location is easy to find and easy to access. The front desk gals are so down to earth and make you feel at ease the minute you walk in the door. I can not say enough about Amy the surgical assistant.  She takes you back to the procedure room and makes you completely forget that you are there for surgery. Fought with insurance and eventually got them to pay all of their share and even most of mine. I had a refund due of $121.50. Not only did the practice not notify me for 2 months, they tried to tell me I owed them an additional $121.50. Finally got them and insurance on the line and got them to refund to my original credit card used. Next day Omaha Oral Surgery calls me and says they didn't process the refund and "the check's in the mail and maybe you'll get it in about 15 days". Horrible way to do business. Cash flow issues? (Also told me I couldn't pick up the check)

At one point I had a filling done and a few days later ended up having the tooth with the filling taken out at the same time as my extremely troublesome wisdom teeth which had to happen at an oral surgeon who doctor Schneider recommended, and the next time I went to back to the dentist she had put a credit for the amount I had paid for that filling since the tooth came out shortly afterwards.
