I would give less than one star but it will not let me. Spoke to the service manager about removing the gooseneck hitch from my truck and installing my 5th wheel rails. Had to tell her this 5 times ranging from in person to email. Still did not understand, then tried to upcharge 3 hours removal of gooseneck and 3 hours to put 5th wheel rails in...after we paid for 2 hours of book time to put rails in. AVOID at all costs, you've been warned. I deal with people every day, and this was terrible customer service, there are many other options out there. read more

We have just purchased our first RV and he had some issues with the wiring, among other things. We chose to use New Generation RV because it had been referred to me and they are very close to home. It turned out the damage was far more extensive than we had thought. We were afraid this would delay our travels, my husband has been diagnosed with cancer and we decided to see places we have never seen and go places we have never gone. Recognizing this, Eric and the staff at New Generations went above and beyond to get the RV back to us within a week. Not only did they fix what we asked, but recognized things we didn't know about and fixed those things as well. This company not only gets you to your next adventure, but they do it with heart. I couldn't be happier with New Generation. We are full-timers, so we don't always have time to bring the house in for repairs. But when the floor of our slide started retracting *without* the rest of the slide, we knew we needed some real professionals. We tried some guys up the road, Hannah RV. They kept the thing for over a week and never looked at it. On my third call they said they still hasn't touched it. Eleven minutes later they called me back sand said the trailer was totaled, couldn't be fixed, nothing could be done with it because working on it was pointless. They wanted $150 diagnostic, please. We picked up our trailer, I got them to drop the diagnostic, and we drove to New Generation for a second opinion. They treated us like people, looked at the issue, said they could do it, quoted us a reasonable price, and gave us a rough estimate on time (a few days). They replaced the dreadful fiberboard with plywood, just as I asked. It ended up taking a couple of days longer because they had ordered out for an extra weather layer to repel moisture in the future. Awesomeness. And while they waited for the extra layer they also fixed our leaning refrigerator and reattached our cabinet to the wall. Brilliant! Their carpenter is a first rate man, clean workshop and a great brain. He walked us through all the repairs, and we couldn't have been happier with the work. Good repair is a jewel, treat it right! All my research told me a shadow cruiser was best for our family... the other research showed this company to be best... we had terrible experience from not only a parts person, a service manager, but even the owner himself!... to the point we're they didn't do the service they said they did, and then defended there staff rather than asked for pictures or to see the camper.... They literally left holes in the roof after it was "Inspected and sealed".... We definitely got scammed by them... buyer beware! read more

My experience with New Generation RV is a bit unusual. I live in Minnesota, about 300 miles away. My camper was stolen in October. Since I had liked it so much I sought another trailer by the same manufacturer. I could the ideal camper in the dealer web site. It was the nearest dealer who had one. I contacted the dealer and explained that I would like to purchase the camper but would be unable to do do until my insurance claim was paid. I promised to keep the dealer updated regarding the claim process and my probable date of purchase. The dealer never asked for an earnest money deposit. The dealer sold the camper to someone else. I fully understand why, but was disappointed that the dealer did not inform me if the sale until I texted a status report. Recognizing how disappointed I was, the dealer contacted me a few days later to recommend another unit. I fell in love with it in line. This time I sent in a deposit when asked to do so. I did not learn until later that a $2000 deposit (10%) normally held a unit for 7 days. The dealer marked the unit as sale pending only after I asked why the trailer was still listed as available on the web site. I felt very relieved and even happy when I saw that. As soon as my insurance claim was paid I notified the dealer and told him that I was in the process of refinancing my mortgage and would have my cash down payment in about two weeks. I proposed driving the 300 miles to Burlington on Feb 27 to see the trailer fir the first time and sign all the purchase documents. I asked for permission to leave the unit on the lot for another month since I did not want to tow it so far on icy roads. On Feb 23 I had a heart attack. While I was in the hospital waiting a stent I called the dealer and stated I would not be able to make the drive. I asked for the documents to be mailed to me for final signature. They were. Up until this point I was very happy, even excited. But I realized later that I was taking a big chance. I did not know anyone who had purchased from this dealer, the trailer was 3 years old. I was buying it sight unseen, and the dealer was making no warranty after I drove it off the lot. I decided to arrange for the trailer to be inspected, just to cover all bases. I had been promised a complete walk through after the dealer inspected 265 items but I realized I do not have the expertise to recognize all possible defects. I called my contact to notify him of the inspection and all h*** broke loose. He was grossly offended that I did not trust him to sell me a perfect camper. He let me know he could have sold my camper "20 times over" and may have done so had I not had my heart attack. He reminded me that my camper had been taking up space on his lot. I have decided to pay him $100 for space rental. And he implied that he was very inconvenienced by having the documents mailed to me for signature. I ended the conversation by apologizing to him for requesting the inspection. I had been looking forward to visiting the dealer for the first time. But I have been made to feel guilty for daring to select a camper before my I was completely ready to buy and deciding that I should have a professional inspect it before I take possession. You may have a different experience. I am writing this as a gentle suggestion that all of your dealings be IN PERSON AN UPDATE. The trailer has been inspected. Only five relatively minor defects were found. The dealer fully cooperated with the inspector. I am hoping the items will be fixed when I pick up the camper in two weeks. From the moment we walked in to the moment we drove out it was nothing short of excellent customer service, focused on our families needs, wants and budget. Joe Nepras was our salesman but within 15 minutes of talking to us we felt like he was a long lost friend. While we filled out paperwork and spoke with Jeff the finance guru, Joe played with our 3 children ages 10, 8, & 4. He helped our children explore various other models we had looked at and then showed our kids the travel trailer we were purchasing. Mark the owner is truly a man of his word and a man of God!!!! We bumped a tree branch over a road and it messed up our awning. We were in the middle of a cross country trip and worried about it being safe to drive on the freeway (would it pop open). A friend tolds us they highly recommend New Generation RV so we drove slowly there. They had us back on the road in 30 minutes with a good fix all under $100. We went to New Generation RV two years ago to purchase a new camper. We were greeted by a very happy and friendly staff. Everyone was welcoming. Then we purchased our Golf Stream Conquest from New Generation. We've had nothing but problems with it. We have had it back to New Generation for repairs many times. However, it is never fixed correctly. We have had so many problems with it. However, the owner of New Generation, Mark Merkling, has informed us that he is "Not going to put another penny into that camper!" Our camper is still under warranty. Whenever we tell them what is happening with the camper, they tell us that they cannot duplicate the issue that we were describing. We have even taken videos to show them what is happening. Mark has dismissed these videos. We are having major issues with our slide out opening and closing. We were camping 2 hours away and could not get the slide out to go out. We called Mark but he would not send anyone out to help us. In fact, he told us "I will pray for you. I'm sure that the people you are with will help you out and lend you things." Great customer service!! The camper wasn't even three months old at this time. We cannot take our camper out. We cannot go camping. Camping used to be so enjoyable for us. We never know when one of the MANY issues will cause us more issues. The slide out still is not working and since New Generation will not work on it (even though it is still under warranty) we have a useless camper that we paid a lot money for. Yes, they are very nice and friendly to make the sale. Once the sale is made, the niceness and friendliness is gone. You become a nuisance to them. read more

We couldn't be happier with buying our travel trailer from Bruce. From the moment we arrived at the dealership Bruce met us and pointed us in the direction of what we might be interested. We were able to wander around looking at the individual trailers, Bruce checked in with us several times but was not pushy at all. We have been to many other dealers and have not received the same care and attention, it was rather refreshing. Bruce made the business of filling out the paperwork a pleasant experience. We were really surprised when we went to pick up our pre-owned camper, and Mary went over the full unit with us not missing any of the small details. Jeff made the final paperwork a breeze to get through. All in all when we are ready for an upgrade we will be back. This is my last time buying a big ticket item over the internet as the salesman and pictures did not disclose the delaminization that was present on the used 2019 tt I purchased and paid for delivery. Paid cash for it after my salesman took my deposit without realizing it had been sold to another party that ended up not able to obtain financing (should've walked away then). Their solution was for me to take it back 200 miles and they would give me my money back, but offered no way to get it back. In the sales process I asked the salesman if there were any issues... he pointed out a small piece of trim had come loose on the interior but commented "it looks brand new". Far from it. They didn't even include the power cord for the unit and told me they would reimburse me for it to just send the receipt( keep your $). They only want to sell and be done. No follow up after I sent pictures to the salesman of the problem areas. We think the delam is in a small enough area that we will keep and reseal ourselves( wife really likes the interior and we've been looking for over a year for this type of floor pl) but would have never purchased it if we saw it beforehand. We had sold our previous camper in the this process and were kind of between a rock and a hard place. My bad for doing that, but just not a reputable place in my mind. read more

We went to several RV dealers in search for the right RV to fit our needs. This was low pressure sales, good selection and great customer service. The two super rv centers left us incredibly disappointed. High cost and unimaginable poor service. Then we came to New Generation and were acknowledged when we got there, treated like we mattered and got a great price besides. If you dont want to wait to be "let into" an RV to see it....or don't want to sit in a fancy showroom for over 30 minutes over on the east side of town (only to leave without being helped) and don't want to have to tell the salesman what inventory they have them walk inside the new RV with the refridgerator ripped out like at some "..World"....definitely stop and check out this place. No....not a paid endorsement. A happy customer who did his homework and visited too many of the wrong dealers. read more

Just bought a hybrid camper from new gen rv. It was a wonderful experience and such a clean place! The camping store inside has a lot of stuff to buy and is a real great idea. You can stop by and pick up just about anything, and the prices are very reasonable. Terrible Customer Service Experience. The repair service was sadly one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had. For nearly 10 days they miss-ordered parts, blamed others for their own mistakes, and ultimately told me to go away and have someone fix a very simple repair that was a warranty repair. It was a dark comedy of errors that left me without help. I contacted I-94 RV and they had the warranty repair done 2 days later. It was the polar opposite of what I experienced. Poor management+ poorly trained employees + no accountability equals a terrible customer service experience. I am in sales and customer service and this is not even close to a successful business model for good customer service. I would recommend you find someone else for your RV needs. read more

We bought a travel trailer from NewGen 2 years ago. Service after the sale was terrible! Had problems with the slideout the minute we got it home. It was an electrical issue that they were AWARE of in this model trailer. Never mentioned it BEFORE the sale. They tried to "walk" us through fixing it ourselves over the phone.
