Phil the owner of Elegant Rv Rental was able to arrange for us to be dropped off at the airport. The Mercedes RV is absolutely beautiful, runs quietly, smooth on the road and gets pretty good fuel mileage. Our trip was 7 days so we got to stop in different towns along the way and take in some beautiful Tennessee scenery. We are a family of 4 which was a little tight when we stayed overnight in the Rv, but the rest of the nights we just stayed in hotels. Having room for the kids, able to feed everyone good food and staying overnight by the lakefront without a tent was amazing. If you want to take a family road trip in a comfortable RV, this is the way to go!

Service only: in the last year, 83RV has lost a large number of their service technicians and…read moreservice manager. Prior to this unfortunate set of events they were top notch. Now communication and service is unreliable and terrible. On three separate occasions in 2025 I made appointments for service on my Coachman Galleria, only to learn they 1) forgot the appointments were reserved 2) kept the van for over three weeks without even looking at it, nor communicating with me the challenges they faced. In one case they made some repairs to the awning motor/ sensor which kept opening on its own. Less than a month later we find the problem has returned and they 1) still don't know what is broken/wrong 2) proposed charging me $600 a second time - even though the first solution didn't solve the problem. I can understand why service manager Brett, seems overwhelmed. But he simply does not communicate and provides flippant answers that are unconvincing or not fact based. Until they improve staffing, I recommend you stay clear of the service department.

Bob was very easy to talk with and truly cared about our questions . He answered all of our questions with. A smile on his face which help us feel more confident and comfortable picking out the unit we purchased. We agreed on a time and a date to pick up our new trailer and went through a 3 hour orientation with a another person who was also very nice and answer all of questions with a smile on his face I like to think that we have have made a friend with Bob at 83RV . I would highly recommend stopping buy to look at what they have available, knowing that they will treat you politely and not push anything to you , you do not want or need.

Here were the top annoyances: Air Conditioning - Broke completely in the middle of our July trip, the mechanic said it was quite old and missing some screws. It wasn't possible to fix on the road, so we had no AC for 4 days. Sensors - Many of the key sensors were inaccurate. Ex: black tank level, water level. This proved very challenging for first time RVers like us, who didn't have a feel for how often to empty or refill tanks. Door - The screen door was missing a piece of plastic, which created a hole for bugs to come in and the door itself required a VERY hard closure to latch. My kids could rarely do it themselves. Awning - Not functional; directions in troubleshooting book didn't match type of awning on our RV. Generator - Shut off inexplicably a few times. Mattress - VERY old and worn. Electrical panel - Literally kept closed with duct tape and wouldn't stay closed. Easy to accidentally turn things off. Privacy curtain - Held back with duct tape. Easily knocked open.

All I brought was my food. We drove around so that I could get familiar with the dashboard, how to turn corners and watch out for trees. I found the vehicle easy to drive and the the ride was great! I camped with my family, who came in their camper, at Kohler Andre state park mid May. That was the weekend we had rain and thunderstorms but I was safe and warm inside the camper and even used the a/c when it got to hot for me. The location is easy to find and my deposit was returned in a timely manor. Thanks again for a great weekend with my family.

We were hesitant at first in sleeping in the RV. Hotel rooms were sold out so we had no choice. The…read moresalesman was a bit creepy but turnt out to be a decent guy. Don't go number two in the toilet, salesman said it's prohibited. Bed was comfortable, we were provided with tons of odd pillows and blankets, my favorite was the one that had a lion drawn into it. Refrigerator kept buzzing all night but not too bothersome. Someone needs to check the heater though. All in all it wasn't a bad experience. Sales guy though keeps calling me for some reason!

Great service, great vehicle recently outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment, enough storage and a large fridge vs the typical bar fridge.
