But unfortunately I never got the estimate this owner claims. I did actually call and I was told "we're working on it and will have the estimate to you within the next week" - this was 2 weeks after the estimate was supposed to be emailed to me. Fortunately I did find wonderful contractors who did actually come to my house twice, once for the initial consultation and once more to double check the ascetics before finalizing the estimate- this other company I ended up hiring and was very happy. He was professional, knowledgable, to the point, and organized when it came to getting this job scheduled and completed, and because he was able to fit the job into the agenda we have for other home improvements in the coming days, we decided to work with Scott. He rolled up to the house with a serious squad of workers, hauling trailer with equipment, ladders, and everything needed to do the job, and they went right to work.
