The Clustertruck Food Truck Festival - Butter lime corn, elote corn place

The Clustertruck Food Truck Festival

I just enjoyed an afternoon at the festival. Great food, fun music and so much for the kids from…read morebounce houses to dancing. The trucks I experienced: The Grub Guru 3.5 star - the gen gau was amazing, crispy and sweet. I had wanted orange chicken, but they didnt have it despite it being on the menu. It is an Indian truck and the rice was listed as fried rice but it was clearly basmati. It was not good. I have to say their drink prices are some of the most reasonable at the festival. Ts Jerky House 5 star - the bbq sundae with cornbread, beans, and smokey brisquet was amazing. Topped with crispy onions for texture. Elote corn 3 star - I tried the buttered lime but there was no lime. The corn was definitely best of the season. Shitakaberries 5 star - we opted for something sweet and this was great. We got the reverse tiger, dark chocolate with white drizzle. 7 bucks for 5 berries on a stick. It was definetly about the experience. TC Scoops 4 stars - we each got a single scoop and a topping for 4 dollars. It was just ok, but my bf loved the cherry. Reds 5 star - really personable. Reasonably priced, especially the drinks, which is what drew me there. He realized he ignored me and gave me the drink free of charge. A definite place for customer service.

Worcester Center for Crafts - Classes available 2023

I wish I could say otherwise because I'd really like to support this place & the local artists represented. While shopping, another guest asked the cashier about if any weaving classes were available in the near future but the only response was a grunted "no." Seems like a friendlier response was warranted so I stopped the shopper on her way out to tell her & her daughter about "A Place to Weave" in Fitchburg, MA. My point is, isn't the Worcester Center for Crafts mission to support the craft community? It isn't hard to do and a friendly word goes a long way.

I discovered this place last year and am so glad I did. This isn't crappity ass crafts. It is a…read moreplace to learn artistic crafts. I took glassblowing and flame work. Glassblowing was very interesting but too hard for me. I'm really glad I took it for the experience and I would probably do it over again just to try it out. It requires a lot of coordination, so if you are as klutzy as me, you might find it too difficult too. As described in their catalog, flamework is: Tthe process of shaping glass rods and tubes into small objects over the flame of a torch. Begin by making beads, pendants and marbles to establish a foundation of technique. As the class progresses, projects will advance to include the creation of solid sculpture and hollow forms such as flowers, holiday ornaments, and perfume bottles. Small class sizes and one-on-one instruction allow students to work at their own pace. I love this class and the instructor, Jake Vincent, is patient and a great teacher. You don't have to be quite as coordinated to do flamework. In addition to glass classes, they have classes in clay, metal, fiber, photography, wood, and design and multimedia. They have a gallery too. I haven't been yet, because the glass studio is in a separate area of Worcester. I've heard its great and intend to go soon. I'll update this post when I get there. Oh, and it isn't as far from Boston as you think. Check out their catalog on their Website.

It hosted acts and short movie performances of the day . It closed in 1965. It reopened in 1967 for a performance by Dean Martin. Over the years it has been a venue for performances of various art styles. Now it's a place for rock and roll music. The theater was designed for the best possible audience at every corner the sound quality is clean and great. It offers two levels. It's a great place to listen to metal music. The service is good with the bar offering a variety of options for drinks. If you want something to drink even water you will have to purchase it. No outside anything. The best is about to begin. The bands are playing, let's get it done!

The palladium used to be my second home. I absolutely adored this venue. Even the staff loved me. I…read moremade hundreds of incredible memories. I started going to shows at age 12, up until a few years ago. I was heading to the bathrooms and saw a friend who was very drunk and looked like he needed a friend. I was 25 at the time. I was there with my now ex boyfriend. My friend dragged me into the men's room, threw me in a stall, closed the door and trapped me. Then he was exposing himself to me and I begged him to stop and to let me go. I was crying for help when one of the staff came in, and was so cruel to me, he wouldn't let me say a word to him, he kicked us both out. I immediately felt embarrassed and nauseated at what happened. I still have night terrors about it. It has taken me this long to actually say something. The man who wouldn't let me tell what happened, and who marched me out the door, was scaring me. I had done nothing wrong. I was concerned for a friend and that got me kicked out of a place that I thought I was safe at. And on my birthday! If that man reads this, I hope he realizes that it was because of the way he treated me that I have never gone back there. If he had just heard me out, and allowed me to explain that I was trapped in that stall begging to get out while my so called friend touched himself in front of me, and allowed me to go back to where my boyfriend was, and finish the show, on my birthday, if he had just listened and not been so nasty to me, I may have felt saved by this cruel staff member, and he would have known how grateful I was that he came barging in, in what I thought was being saved, and I would have felt safe there once more, knowing the staff had my back, and I could continue going to see my favorite bands. The palladium should feel lucky I'm only giving 2 stars rather than one. It wasn't all bad, but that one bad event basically nullified every other event. But women are constantly blamed when stuff like this happens to them. My second home became my nightmare. I can never go back to my happy place. If I did I'd be looking over my shoulder rather than enjoying the show. So thanks for ruining the one place I loved so much.
