Complete waste of time, I wouldn't recommend anyone go here as I spent a week talking to Chris Senior and discussing pricing only to find the OTD price he gave me in writing was all a game. No matter how you think it's going, all that time invested and the details and price you hash out: they pull the rug out at the last minute, make up lies and try to get you to pay another price all together. Out The Door is a simple concept for honest dealers. the higher quality ones don't play games. wasted over a week of my time, with as you see below, phony out the door pricing and then lied about availability problems to try to get me to pay more. They gave the price in writing, told me to wait for them to get back to me to do better and then flaked, I followed up the next day they were open and he told me he wouldn't honor the OTD price he told me in writing. I made the mistake of trusting New england cycle works and investing a my time and energy in dealing with Chris Senior, self purported owner, for a week. What I got was jerked around. my precious time wasted and bogus prices in them playing dealer games. Time I could have spent riding. I asked Chris Senior his best OTD price for a 2018 Pioneer 1000-5 LE and he told me, in writing $18,760 but to wait because he wanted to see how much cheaper a 2017 model was (his idea.) for my consideration and he'd get that to me tomorrow. (Saturday before father's day) well he never did, . Father's Day comes around. finally monday I ask him "what's the news?" he says it's too far away so forget what he was thinking. meanwhile 2 CanAm dealers have great offers for me on a defender xtp and a maverick trail + I have other honda offers out of state that have delivery to my property for little less so I'm thinking I just may give chris my business here as he's much closer if I ever have problems and, like I said, I'm purchasing more power equipment for my land and MX track amd enduro trails I'm cutting, so a nearby dealer could be a benefit BUT on monday, REAL OTD offers from honest dealers in hand for over a week now, I decide to purchase but when I ask if his $18,760 OTD price can have delivery in it: he ignores it for over 4 hours to respond, and then gives me this "we're having availability issues at that price" (none of the power dealers further south are, mind you) "as I told you before, 'it's based on availability"!!!! a big fat lie. 1. he NEVER said that. 2. he gave me that price late friday and told me to wait (time apparently not an issue) because he wanted to beat it with a 2017 pioneer 1000-5 LE for my consideration. then flakes saturday. closed father's day. Text him back monday. tells me nevermind. then he ignores my text all day and then makes up a lie about having told me it's based on availability. "we're having availability issues at that price..." I'm not an idiot, and I don't play games that some of the lower quality dealers like to play, I know when i've been lied to and when I'm being jerked around. I could have been riding and harvesting trees on my property, but I wasted it in trying to give new england cycle werks a chance at my business with their best OTD price and talking to Chris Senior who was very inconsiderate towards my time and insulting to my intelligence by trying to play me. there are much better dealers out there and unlike Chris Senior of New England Cycle Works, will provide AND honor great OTD prices. If you like having your time and precious days in the riding season wasted, while an inferior dealer plays games and wastes your time with bogus pricing they have no intention of honoring just to see where your interested so they can jack up the price from there then this is the place! I'm building a mx track on my land and will be acquiring a fleet of power equipment and toys, first acquisition is a utv in the 15-20k range for harvesting. even with the amount of business I have to give, they wasted my time and jerked me around. I don't see why they wouldn't waste yours too. Bad prices. No discounts on stihl accessories which have the highest markup. I go in looking to buy $15k from you and requesting pricing I pick up some stihl accessories (which have the highest markup and fat margins) and you don't give me ANY discount?! I never paid full price for my stihl equipment or accessories before and certainly being a ready buyer in the 15k-20k range for a first purchase with this dealer I wouldn't expect that to start now. However they nicked me full price. no discount. not a dime. that was the second red flag. At the time I figured 'oh well, I have a lot of forested land to tend to, they don't want my business, i won't purchase anymore stihl products here. the main attraction is honda kawasaki dealer, and getting a great deal there" I expect people to honor my time and their word and I do the same. simple. As a newer rider, it can be somewhat daunting to cipher through a lot of the information and advice associated with the nuances of riding. Recently, I found a good deal on a starter bike I had been interested in for sale at New England Cycle Works, and figured I would check it out. I dealt with a salesperson named Chris, and as I soon as I expressed interest in the bike, he was immediately helpful in telling me the pros and cons associated with the bike, and giving me a run down of what I can expect riding it as a novice. He was even courteous enough to allow me a test ride. Once I decided this was the bike for me, I especially appreciated how straight-forward the purchasing process was. Within an hour of deciding I was going to buy the bike, I had a bill of sale in hand and it was legally mine. The bike was plated and registered by the shop the very next day. During that time, the area was afflicted with poor weather and, as a new rider, I didn't feel comfortable riding in those conditions. In addition, I did not own a trailer for transport and have only one car to use. This was no problem though, as the shop held on to my bike for a couple days longer with no charge, and allowed me to leave my car on their premises overnight while I enjoyed riding. In addition, the staff upstairs was very helpful and seemed knowledgable when purchasing gear and accessories. After trying on a wide variety of helmets, gloves, and jackets, and getting advice on how they should fit, I was satisfied with my purchases in terms of protection and aesthetics, and also received discounts due to my bike purchase. Overall, I had a very favorable experience here, and would recommend New England Cycle Works. read more

I have bought two bikes from New England Cycle Works in the past year and I will keep buying from them because of the superb service from all the staff and the community that surrounds it. The motorcycle sales guys Chris and Josh have been immense help before and after each of my purchases. Whenever I had a question about the bike or self maintenence they had no problem to show me what to do from adjusting the chain to changing my fluids. When I was just getting my first bike The guys up in parts personally walked me through picking out the right gear to make sure it fit and was comfortable. If they didn't have the item I was looking for they would order it and match the lowest price I could reasonably find on the Internet. It wasn't just the staff that has helped me but the regulars at the shop as well by giving me tips on what oil to use and what filter to buy. I also had the pleasure to attend a track day with some of the staff and other customers. Through the whole day staff members like Chris were coaching me how to ride to my full potential on and off the track. The day as a whole was an experience that showed the sense of community that surrounds New England Cycle Works. I highly recommend these guys if you are new and getting into motorcycling or even if you have been riding your entire life. I have a Kawasaki Ultra 300x watercraft and broke a spark plug in the head. NE Cycle Works helped me get this fixed. The Service Manager and technicians were real experts in this issue and also helped me work with the manufacturer. I appreciated Mike's professionalism as everything he said he would do he did and very quickly. When I picked up the ski, I visited the show room and checked out a new Honda Rancher as I was thinking about trading up. They had a great inventory and were willing to take a trade. I also checked out the parts store as I needed some oil, filters and wanted to get some heated grips. They didn't have the starter solenoid I needed in stock but shipped it out to me. The parts store manager was very friendly and helpful and mentioned that they have a new website with discounts to draw web business. I would much rather use these guys where I know that I can pick up the phone and talk to some when needed but also shop on the web for convenience. This is an outstanding dealership. I had been considering a motorcycle purchase for the past couple of years and had visited numerous shops around Connecticut to make inquiries and seek recommendations. By a wide margin, I found the staff at New England Cycle Works the most knowledgeable and professional. I never felt pressured into making a purchase, despite taking up a fair amount of their time during several visits. They have a large inventory and extremely competitive pricing. As it turned out, I decided that I wanted a prior year model that they didn't have in stock. Rather than try to change my mind, Chris Orlinski, the Sales Manager, offered to try to find it for me at the price I was willing to pay. Last year I purchased two new bikes off Chris. It was a pleasant, professional and fun experience all the way through. He told me that I would be back next year to get a bigger bike, which I of course denied. 12 months later and I bought a bigger bike from him! His no pressure, personable style of helping you choose what you want, rather than what he would like you to buy was awesome and refreshing. From the mechanics to the parts department, I have had nothing but fabulous service at every step. When I was looking to upgrade it was a natural thing to go only to NECW. I trust them and feel that I will always get a solid deal and a professional service - and it is what I have always recieved. Bought a Honda lawnmower (approx. $500) from them, even though we could buy one from Home Depot or Lowes. Our thought process was that we could get more efficient and personal customer service. Though brand new, the mower had a problem that we had to keep taking it back for a repair. This same problem persisted for about 5-6 times making it very inconvenient to bring it back and forth from Norwich to Groton for repair, as well as our lawn would get high while waiting for it to get fixed. Finally, we requested an exchange but Honda (the manufacturer) refused. We then asked New England Cycle Works to take it back and replace it and they agreed. This was not their policy but they were very understanding to our plight. read more

I purchased a Kawasaki jet ski from New England cycle. The sales staff was good to deal with. The best part of the purchase and the most important to me, is dealing with the service dept. Mike and his staff have been great to deal with. They always schedule the ski in for work, and stick to that date. They follow up with you regarding the work needed and the costs and completion date. The repair shop is neat and organized and efficient. The repair work is done in a very professional manner. They will always listen to what issues I have and work to correct them. When I called New England Cycle Works, I was so impressed by the Jeff Atkinson, he explained the Honda 700 deluxe pioneer was on back order, and went over everything about the machine ,after we deposited on the side by side, Jeff kept us in the loop, on when it was coming in, When we arrived, he went over everything about the machine, including the owners manual . We drove 2 hours and 40 minutes, the drive was worth the great service , and Jeff's knowledge, he is a great salesman and went the extra mile. I needed a snow thrower that a 5'4" woman could handle, but not something puny either. Chris confirmed that the one I had researched was good for me, gave me a demo and let me try it out myself. He explained everything thoroughly and was not condescending or dismissive the way that some salesmen are with women. He also didn't try to pressure me into buying anything.
