I made my reservation online, the day before. I chose the 11:30am spot for a hot stone massage,…read morebut when it confirmed with me, I saw that I had been placed at the 9 am spot. I called and asked for it to be fixed. No problem. I arrived a little early, but was ushered immediately into room 1. I asked to use the restroom first. When I came out of the restroom, I was ushered back into room one and the door was shut behind me. No instructions. I figured that I should probably change, so I started to undress. I had gotten down to my underwear when there was a quick knock at the door and the door opened. Someone announced "changing room." I originally thought she meant that she wanted me to undress in a changing room, but she actually wanted me to go to room 2. I got into room 2 and undressed. Still no instructions. There was a narrow strip of cloth, so I attempted to cover myself with it, but it was too narrow. I was still confused a little. I can't tell how long I waited because I didn't have my watch on and there was no clock in the room. The masseuse arrived and asked what I wanted today. Hot stone massage. She meant what part of my body I wanted her to concentrate on. Low back and feet. Ok. She'd do the massage first and then hot stones. Great. Medium pressure. Ok. The massage was a little too hard at first, but I spoke up and she adjusted the pressure. I could feel my back relaxing. Unfortunately, I'm ticklish on my feet and I wasn't able to handle the lighter pressure on them. But it was still a great massage. Suddenly, someone opened the door to room two and started speaking loudly to the masseuse. It was jarring since everything else was so quiet and I was mostly unclothed other than the narrow strip of cloth. No privacy with the door wide open! And speaking so loudly when I was trying to relax was ridiculous. We got to the hot stone part and the masseuse kept dropping the stones. Bang. The wall. Plop. The floor. Oops onto the table. I would have given 5 stars other than the online errors, the wide open door, the loud voices and the dropping of the stones. It was a good massage with a few minor drawbacks.

I ended up receiving a full body massage, which wasn't really a full body massage as the front of my legs, feet and my arms were not worked on at all.. this treatment was $75 plus they wanted to tip on top of that so because I used part of the money on a credit card it was actually $78 plus my five dollar tip made $81. This was definitely not worth my money. I feel that their prices are too expensive because right around the corner. I could've gotten a full body massage for $65.. Although the girl was a good masseur, I still have paint that I was not expecting to have when I left . I'm very disappointed in the outcome. And the price:( I probably will not be back anytime soon

Bad habits, as in bad customer service, are hard to break…read more Based on a one-star, constructive review I wrote describing the terrible service my mother experienced last year, Quiescence Spa expressed a "sincere" apology and offered us 2 free massages. Sweet! I decided to give them another chance and take them up on their offer. I replied to their email with a proposed date for an appointment. To my dismay, a week passes with no response. Despite a follow-up, yet another week passes with no response. (Scratching head) I thought you wanted to make it up to my Mother and I? After all, you only ruined our Mother's Day last year. Terrible.

I moved down here from Seattle and was very sad about leaving my massage therapist there but I must say I am extremely happy with my transition to Griselda. I call it a transition because I feel as if I have risen to a higher level. Griselda has a gift of finding all the pinch points and works on them in a very healing way. She is very thorough and adds a lot of nice "touches" to her massages like warm towels and warm eye covers. I walk out feeling completed relaxed and transformed. I am not one that can easily sit still for 1 hour and in the past have been a chatterbox during my massages, however, with Griselda I find myself fully relaxed and submerged in a meditative state. It is not only a physical but also a spiritual experience. I am so pleased I have found Griselda, she is truly a gifted massage therapist.
