Good quick Chinese food for cheap. We got our food quick. Kind of in a bad area I would say, other than that not bad. read more

Food is always good. Friendly service. If you call in an order to go, you get a text message with your order and time it will be ready.

They have extremely horrible customer service. They messed up our food completely, aka gave us the wrong thing. We ordered teriyaki chicken and got peppercorn steak. which is fine, I called up there, talked to the manager and he said they would fix it just come up there and bring back the wrong food to get the right food. We drove back up there about 20 minutes and while there I got a call from someone else not the original person and not the manager stating that what we got was the teriyaki chicken we ordered and not the steak. Looking at the food you can tell it was not teriyaki chicken but I wanted to be understanding. My boyfriend goes up there with the food where he is shown a picture of peppercorn steak and told this is peppercorn steak that's teriyaki chicken.... The picture was the same as what was in his hands. He tried to explain that is what is in his tray and no one would help us get the right thing after already telling me they would. We left. Got home again to eat the rest of the food and it was all unflavorful and cooked weirdly. The only thing right was the fortune cookies and they don't make those. read more

All I have to say is that I always come here. Best Chinese food and most connivence in the city. read more

New China Restaurant - Sesame Chicken - Chinese Near Me - Decatur, Alabama

They didn't get our order correct... Teriyaki chicken - look like beef with spices so hot we couldn't eat it. Ordered small egg drop soup wasn't in the bag!! The manager said to bring it back so they could look at it--15 miles with cost of gas don't think so In the trash it went--we will once again start going to the one in Priceville. read more

Asked for teriyaki chicken and got Mongolian beef. Asked for a replacement and they said "our chicken looks like beef" and wouldn't replace food read more

Food was just what I wanted. Ordered orange chicken, veggie lo mien and spring rolls.

Great food it's take out only the people there are very nice I eat there least twice a week

I've eaten here a couple times and they deliver a consistent dish. The pork fried rice was good, but a little bland. I'd like a little more flavor to the dish. The egg rolls were pretty good as was the hot sour soup. While the soup had great spice, there was a lack of balance on the sour side. All together, decent Chinese carry out that tastes pretty good and is priced very well. read more

Food is always quick and great! Also cheap! Dumplings are good, chicken on a stick, and the shrimp fried rice

The service is always pleasant and they cook delicious food everytime. I've been living in alabama for over 20 years and i never had a terrible experience here. read more

good was good until i found hair in my food. a strand of black hair .... my hair is ginger so it was not mine. read more

New China Restaurant - hair in food. - Chinese Near Me - Decatur, Alabama

Good food, great service as well. Clean, food hot, much to choose from, 1st visit and will come again

Got the broccoli and shrimp that was decent, but the eggs rolls were overdone cooked and dry

I'm broken hearted. New China has been the best place to go for Chinese takeout all 15+ years I've lived in Decatur. But, they have really slipped. I'm still looking for a replacement for them. But I'm, probably, done with New China. And that's why I'm broken hearted. read more

Still alright. It has been several months since I've been here. It was still good. The General Tso's chicken plate with rice was pretty tasty. The egg roll was a tad salty though. It was $8 for the plate. I used to prefer this place over others in town, but not so much anymore. I like other places just as much, including the Panda Express right in the same plaza. read more

This place has about the best Chinese food around Decatur. I've been to a handful of the Chinese restaurants here and for take out they are the best. Be careful of the lobster (fake) dishes though. They will "special " order if you like also. Their brown sauce is wonderful and veggies always fresh. Quick food in 15 minutes. read more

I love this place and have been ordering takeout here for years! They always make my order special with steamed veggies and fried tofu! And, of course an egg roll. You guys complaining about things being greasy tell them that they will make it less greasy! This is a very nice little mom and pop shot! read more

I've had some bad Chinese food before, but this makes it look like fine dining. The crab Rangoon (angles) were made with some yellow cheese instead of cream cheese, and they were dripping with grease. The spring roll and the egg roll were the same, and the general's chicken was so spicy that I couldn't finish it, and sour too! The only reason why I give 2 stars is because the rice was good and the building was breezy and cool in the hot summer. read more

My mom had a tiny metal bristle piece in her chicken (like from a grill brush). I also had a few metal pieces, along with bone shards in my general tso's chicken. Not to mention onion skin (outer skin that should be thrown away) in my lo mien. We didn't finish the food and won't be back. I'd give zero stars now if I could. This place was once my families go-to place for Chinese, then the store changed owners. They still give generous portions but NOT worth it for the metal and bone shards! I hope that changes, and I hope nobody accidentally/unknowingly ingests any. Very sad read more

Best take out Chinese in the area (personal favs are Shrimp with lobster sauce ,moo goo gai pan, chicken fried rice, egg foo young, egg rolls, crab wontons, and Dragon and Phoenix) Have been coming since they open the only problem is drinks ...unless you like tea .. BEST.EGG.ROLLS.EVER. Don't waste your money at a buffet, go to New China!! The coconut chicken is on my mind almost every day. Rachel is my favorite person ever to talk on the phone with (and I'm pretty sure she knows who is ordering when they ask for extra coconut sauce HAHAHAHA). We eat here very often and have not had a single bad experience. Also love the vegetable lo mein and pepper steak. I don't eat seafood (except for crab angles) but there are still so many other options for me to pick from. Dang it I want an egg roll now. read more

They must have changed hands recently, went from being my favorite to just being meh... Tried to order a favorite that I have been ordering for 15 years+ and it is no longer available in a small size,so we split it,and it was almost too spicey to eat(Singapore rice noodles). The egg rolls were extremely salty also, and they used to be the best in town. I am disappointed and will probably not be back. read more

Would not honor coupons. Order taker was rude. Just go to a Chinese restaurant for take out instead.

OMG their egg rolls are the best in America! And I am Chinese and travel a lot so I have had many egg rolls around the world! I have yet to find another Chinese restaurant that can beat their egg rolls. read more

Best Chinese food in Decatur! Friendly service, great prices (especially for the serving sizes), and the take-out is always hot and delicious. Better for take-out than eating in, but that's always been my preference anyway. read more

Best Egg Foo Young in town! And their coconut chicken is just simply amazing!! Best little family run Chinese restaurant in Decatur. You just can't beat the prices or the portions! read more

Since posting my first review for New China something has changed. The food used to be great. Over the last few months I have noticed different staff and a change in the taste of the food. When asked if new people own it the staff says they are on vacation. Well whoever is running the place now and cooking the food is ruining the business. Other reviews mention the same issues. I have given them a few chances but as of now I won't be trying them again. read more

This place used to be really good. It's going way downhill now. The spring rolls were so salty we could hardly eat them. The mei fun noodles had no flavor (we used to eat them all the time) and the mu shu was just awful. Too bad. This place used to be one of the best in town. They are circling the bowl now. read more

We've eaten here twice while traveling. Both times our entire family ordered the coconut chicken and egg rolls. The egg rolls were tasty but the chicken is the star, I highly recommend it. The portions are large and my husband and I were able to split 1 dinner order of coconut chicken. read more

STILL the best Chinese in Decatur. I was concerned when the fastfoodchinese opened in this same shopping center, but skip that drive thru, where you get about 1/4th the food for the same price, and pull in to New China. I've been eating there for at least a decade, and their food is consistently wonderful. I can (and have!) stopped in JUST to get an order of their crab angles, which are truly swoon-worthy in my book. They have the best beef and broccoli anywhere, the broccoli is never over cooked like it is at so many other places. I've called in orders before, but honestly their service is so speedy you might as well just order at the counter, it doesn't take long even though everything is cooked to order. Really can't say enough about this place...I was briefly visiting a place nearer to my house, but then thought WHY am I settling?! Back to New China, no contest. read more

I've been going to this place for nearly a decade. Very inexpensive, and they have huge portions. Great for lunch. Might just be the best value in town. Only reason I'm not giving it five stars is that sodas are canned and I've had many that are out-of-date. read more

New China is great for carryout, prices are very reasonable and the servings usually last us a couple days. I always get the pork lo mein, have been getting it for the past 5 years and never been disappointed. read more

Best Chinese take-out for 30 miles in any direction. Call them, pick a random number between 1 and 20, get an order of egg rolls and a quart of hot & sour soup. It'll be ready by the time you get there. New China for the WIN! read more
