Hard-working folks. I really like their Vietnamese and Thai options. But the Chinese ones fall well below what I can get elsewhere.

The food was some of the best Chinese food I have ever eaten. The strip mall might be a bit ghetto but the inside was very warm and welcoming. The workers were very nice and even had conversations with us well our food was being prepared. They work hard for being very understaffed. 10/10 would recommend. read more

Possibly the worst Chinese food I've ever had. Ordered General Tso's chicken with white rice and sauce on the rice. There was no sauce on the rice and the chicken was dry as a bone. My wife got Orange Chicken with white rice and sauce on the rice. Her rice had not a drop of sauce on it. My chicken was mushy as was my wife's. Her chicken had no flavor either. Waste of $15 as it went into the garbage. Never again. Nothing but crap. read more

Best Chinese, Vietnamese or Thai food you can get within miles in Upstate New York!! Hands down! I have been visiting Upstate NY for 40 years and this is the first time I have come across something that I would get out of NYC! If not for the Chinese man we met at another restaurant we went to last night we would not have found this. Located in a desolate quiet mall. One would not expect this good Asian food here. We were the only ones here for lunch! I know my food so I know what I am talking about. His prices are also about 1/3 less than in the city. It can be prettier but it's not bad. We got takeaway from this place. The food was good. I loved the Chicken in Black Bean Sauce. The Moo Goo Gai Pan was decent . Didn't take any pics as we were very hungry and didn't stop to take pics. read more

My service was very sub par I ordered a few things and was told 20 mins 40 mins later I asked about it and was told 15 more minutes then after a total of over an hour wait I was given my food with no sort of apology came home to eat and the food was also below my expectations which were low to begin with the texture of my general chicken was soggy w a watery broth and not very much flavor it also had a hair in it (which can tell you a lot about what you need to know about the overall cleanliness of the place) my rice was non flavorful and my boneless spare ribs resembled pork cold cuts mixed with diluted bbq in a microwave even the wonton chips or whatever they're called were stale don't recommend will never will never returned it ruined my girlfriends and I's night read more

Located in the Palatine Center (Price Chopper), New China is a casual Chinese restaurant serving up a good variety Chinese dishes including Hunan, Szechuan, and Cantonese dishes. They have eggplant with garlic sauce and chow fun noodles on the menu. Most dishes on the menu are priced under $10. 34 Daily Lunch Specials ($4.35-$4.70) served (until 3PM) with pork fried rice, 10 Chinese Style Specials ($5.55) served with pork fried rice, and 25 Combination Plates ($5.90-$7.35) served with roast pork rice & egg roll are offered. Also they offer a few Thai dishes including pad thai, drunken noodles, pad see-ew, Thai curry dishes (red, green massaman), Thai spicy, Thai basil, and Thai ginger sauce. The place is order at the counter with open kitchen and the takeout waiting area is very cozy. There's also a spacious dining area in the adjacent room with several tables. I stopped in at New China for lunch takeout recently. I ordered the Lunch Special 30 Shrimp With Garlic Sauce and Pork Fried Rice ($4.70 plus tax), which was ready to go in under 10 minutes. The portion size was good, just right for lunch. The main dish had tender shrimp (cleaned) with a mix of broccoli, snow peas, mushrooms, green peppers, red peppers, carrots, onions, in a light sweet and slightly spicy garlic sauce. well for starters this was my first time here . My usual place is closed on mondays and i had company who wanted Chineese . Gave this place a shot and I was thoroughly disappointed. First they told me 30 minutes which turned into 40 minutes which ended in being 50 minutes . Get home a dole out everyones food . the fried rice had no taste . The fried dumpling filling was something i never taasted before i ate two of them and the rest to the Dog. the Tso's chicken had no kick and the wonton in the wonton soup was horrible. I wouldn't even give this a second shot. To bad i hadn't noticed the review written in earnst was from 2015 many things can happen in 6 years. This is no way good Chinese food ! read more

In this area, we don't have a lot of prepared food options so feel lucky to have New China nearby! I order almost exclusively from the Thai menu and have been happy with the taste, price, and service. The food is not fancy, but it's good. read more

Stopped for a quick supper on the way to a 6:30 appt. Ordered a pint of shrimp fried rice and hot-sour soup. The dining room had one other couple and some family members doing their homework. Most of the tables hadn't been bussed but I found one clean one. The soup was 6/10 but the rice seemed like it might've been reheated from lunchtime. Might have just been an off night. I ordered the sesame chicken combo. It was hot and filling, but it wasn't all that great. It was kind of bland. Service was pretty good for take out service. Prices were pretty good. If your looking for Chinese food, this will work I don't think I'll eat here again though. I just didn't care for their food.
