There was plenty of food and was ok. There was no spicy to the Gen. Tso even though I paid more for it. The beef fried rice really didn't have any seasoning. It was kinda flat. This is the third time I've gone to this establishment. The first time, the young man who took my order was rude. The next time I went, it was around 5 to 10 minutes before they closed and he told me they're closed! However, I said, maybe he's having a bad day. ​This time and it will be the LAST time, I ordered two chicken fried rice. After 30 minutes, I get home and my mom and I are eating and we noticed the rice didnt have any chicken. Soooo, I called and explained; it could have been a communication issue and I will come back up there and pay the difference for the chicken. He told me, ""they don't sell it that way!!" It depends on who cooks. Ate here once and it was delicious, like what you find in NYC. Second time, 2 weeks later, same food, and it was marginal at best (as in I won't be eating leftovers) and both looked and tasted completely different. There were multiple people in the kitchen the second time when it was no good and only one there when it was great. You can tell fresh Chinese food by their egg rolls. If they taste like a stale oil, then it's not worth it because they are probably using old oil for the frying. These are crisp and fresh they don't taste like over cooked, over used oil. This is my go-to place! NY style Chinese food in Oklahoma! So I ordered out to New China this week and the resturant had some really good sides, and bad sides to the place. Ordering for delivery is a serious pain in the Bleep, because of the language barrier. I literally had to ask 8 times where their online menu was because i never ate their before. So when I could finally understand her she told me that the online menu was out of date. So mind you i was ordering blindly. I asked for their lobster fried rice. She told me they no longer sold that. I asked for the split tail shrimp. She told me they no longer sold that. I finally was able to find a few menu items that they had. So i ordered a chicken egg roll, a shrimp egg roll, an order of crab rangoon, and a small order of pork fried rice. Now i will say this again the language barrier was horrible and during something that should have only taken 3 minutes it took 10. I had to ask her if their was someone their that could speak english better, and her reply was yes thank you. However she didn't hand the phone over. Finally i got tired of it and gave her the order. It took 5 times asking her how much the order was before she finally understood me. And then she hung up, without asking for my phone number in case the delivery driver had trouble finding my address, or to tell me how long it would take for them to get their. So I had no idea if it would even come but luckily after 20 minutes the driver arrived and my order was correct. The food was really good, there was alot of it, and it only cost 12 dollars and some change for 2 egg rolls, 14 strips of crab rangood, and a large box of fried rice filled to the top. The restuarant would have gotten a so much better review if they hired someone that spoke fluent english to work the phones and take orders over the phone, and while i can say i will order from them again i must warn you. If you are calling in an order expect a headache, from a language barrier. Don't trust their online menu because it is years out of date. however if you want chinese food here are here are the great points to the place. The are really cheap. This restaurant has lost its way. New China used to be my go to place for Chinese carry out, but with the three changes or more in ownership I can no longer recommend it. The final straw was when I ordered the won-ton soup, and it tasted like plain boiled water with pork won-ton noodles tossed in. Maybe it's me because I'm pregnant but I feel like the quality and quantity of food has gone down. For starters, the egg rolls are becoming less and less tiny and aren't as filled. There have been two occasions I received overly greasy egg rolls that were burnt. The special combination platters have also been a bit lackluster with shriveled-looking pieces of meat and soggy vegetables. On a positive note, the vegetable lo mein is good. Went on a Tuesday evening after the gym. The service was to the point and quick. The food was ok a little more on the bland side. I got chicken and broccoli with a side of rice. I just finished eating the food, i have been leery of this place because my mom loves it, but she loves really bad chinese, but i got the chicken sticks, chicken fried rice, chicken lo mien and egg drop soup and figured for 15 bucks delivered it beat walking in the rain to convenience store to get microwave burritos and i would probably have lunch tomorrow... well it took them nearly an hour to get my food here, so yeah i wasnt too pleased, its not like its a hard place to find, and i dont think monday would be too busy of a day, and it was fairly cold, the chicken sticks were stone cold, so i threw it all in the microwave real fast, put the left overs up, probably enough for two lunches, and as it cooked for that long minute and a half, it started to smell amazing, the food was delicious, the rice fluffy not over cooked or under done, the lo mien was splendid, but a tad mushy from having to reheat, the chicken sticks were the best ive had in a while, nice and juicy... but the soup... oh my the soup... very rich and velvety, i love a good egg drop soup, not the runny taste like chicken noodle soup without the chicken or noodles kind, so all in all i knocked off a star for poor delivery time and one for it being cold but it was definitely good, just need to get their service fixed, and as for someone saying the communication barrier was bad, yeah no kidding, she handed the phone to me because she couldnt figure out what the address was, but he took it down and found me eventually. read more
