We were not sure what to expect since the outside looked less than inviting. But the inside was a whole different story. I didn't take many pics because I didn't want to upset the owners. But the food was hot and fresh. They keep a great selection of sushi as well as all the favorites like fried chicken wings, crab ragoons, jalapeno chicken, multiple types of shrimp, and so much more. On June 14th, 2025, my family and I (my mom, younger brother, and I) decided to have dinner at New China Super Buffet in Bartlesville, OK. It wasn't our first visit, but unfortunately, it will be our last. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that customer service is not a priority here. There was no greeting from the host--just silence until we initiated the interaction ourselves. On previous visits, we've even seen children of the employees handling the register, which felt unprofessional and concerning. This time, we were seated in the back section of the restaurant despite many open tables in the main area. We weren't sure why, but it made us feel isolated. The food area was chaotic; we struggled to get food due to a lack of crowd management. And then came the tipping point: our waitress--who we've had unpleasant experiences with before--rushed us through the meal. She brought the check before we even had the chance to take a bite of our second plate. My mom didn't even get to go back for hers. Even more uncomfortable was her behavior--standing in the doorway, watching us eat. It felt intrusive and unwelcome. By the time we left, we were more than ready to walk out and never come back. A buffet should be a relaxed experience. This felt like being watched, rushed, and dismissed. We won't be returning, and I hope management takes seriously the need for better training, professionalism, and basic courtesy. read more

There was a short wait of 3 tables when we arrived at 1:30pm. When seated we were quickly served tea from a smiling man. The buffet was hot and food was fresh. The price was $33 for 2 people. All the staff seemed happy to be back to work after to long time of repairs from storm damage last year. read more

Tried to eat at the New China Restaurant on Saturday, being a single elderly person, I was offered a less then desirable Table in a high traffic area. Okay this buffet is not bad guys and I just moved here from OKC. Got to the restaurant at around 6 pm on a Friday night. Many dishes typically for a Chinese buffet are available. Food are fresh apart from a few items in this particularly evening: fried shrimp, fried catfish, fried wings; pretty much the fried stuffs which I don't usually eat . Love their sautéed mushrooms, thanks for not cutting it into small slices like other buffets, and their green beans, all fresh to me. Hot and sour soup and their sesame chicken, honey chicken need a little work. Less sour for the soup and less flour for the chicken please. Everything else is pretty decent. Service needs improvement. The hostess and the waitress don't talk to you at all. In fact the hostess stood there and looked at a chart for 2-3 minutes before getting me to my table. read more

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! Me , My Mother, And my Brother went here and the food was absolutely disgusting it was like the food was sitting there for weeks and wasn't fresh. The meat was soggy or not cooked right, the establishment was dirty near the food, all the food we ate was disgusting and they expected us to pay 42 dollars for it- Most of the food was gross the only things that were ok were the grean beans, the coffee cake, and the cantaloupe. they never gave my mom the correct drink , and I'm pretty sure we have food poisoning. This is easily one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to. We went on a Friday night, one would think that at a buffet on a busy Friday night you would get fresh food. This was not the case. The food was old and tasteless. I would consider most of the dishes to be inedible. To top it off the staff would not speak to us. They were however YELLING at each other. We couldn't find a place to have lunch on Sunday which was not a chain. So, we ended up here to meet up for classmate. Buffet was reasonable and food was typical fair. This is Bartlesville and a lot has changed here. This plaza used to have a better mix of stores. Now, the only original store is the optical store at the end. New China Buffet is a super buffet. Their ads say they have a whopping eight (8) buffet tables and this is no lie. There is ample food to be had in this place. Ambiance/Decor: 3/5 It is very shiny inside. There are two large chandeliers and two televisions. There are ample tables and booths as one might expect in a super buffet. Things looked pretty clean. Kitchen: 2/5 This place has pretty much everything... except pot stickers. Which is lame. They do have pizza, sushi, fried chicken, mac and cheese, blueberry pie, fried cheese sticks, etc... to go along with regular Chinese buffet fare. Highlights were the garlic green beans which were quite good, and the teryaki chicken on skewers was also very flavorful and well cooked. They also have a guy there who cooks up the raw foods (like a Mongolian BBQ) available which is a nice addition. Service: 3/5 Waters were refilled, dirty dishes taken away. All the servers seemed nice. Nothing ot complain about here. All in all, it's average and inexpensive. But you can find better in Bartlesville if you look a wee bit harder. read more

First of all, understand this is a buffet and Chinese food is best fresh. So that said, I generally eat only what I see the staff bring out piping hot or observe that the stir-fry veggies are still crisp and meat not dried out. I'm Chinese and my favorites are the simpler, homestyle dishes: green beans; cabbage; chicken skewers, roast chicken; sauteed mushrooms; rice noodles. While this is not my favorite Chinese restaurant, it's my favorite buffet restaurant for groups for its variety, price point, decent service and capacity. It's also my favorite takeaway since a buffet to go box can easily feed 2-3 regular diners who are tired of pizza. read more

A very inexpensive restaurant with lots of variety in food, all of which are very well made and delicious. I don't understand all the negative reviews, this is one of me and my family's all time favorite restaurants. The waiters are always kind and keep our drinks filled.
