He gives you insight on the condition of your hair, what kind of products you should use, and teaches you how to style your own hair at home to make it easy for you to upkeep. He also recommended styles that fit with my hair's texture and length, and what looks best for my face. I like that they also don't oversell you on the products they use - they know the products they have are on the more expensive side. The service you get here is great - there's someone to help take your jacket and put it away, and the brief head massages you get while they wash your hair is heavenly! It was easy to book an appointment online and my stylist Yoki was very responsive. I was very excited to visit. When I entered the shop I was immediately greeted warmly and with respect. Yoki carefully listed to my requests for my hair during the consultation and then I was directed to get my hair washed. The wash was very nice and gentle and relaxing with a gentle head massage. Also have to mention how Yin managed to give me attitude despite not even being my stylist. She seems nice to clients she knows, but not sure about new clients! She complained in front of me to my stylist about the price he was charging for such an awful job, then checked me out. She took my money, took forever to fork out change, then just takes it back without confirming if it was a tip I was leaving first. Not a word at all to me during this entire time. Customer service? I think not! I was charged $185 in exchange for such an atrocious job and had originally scheduled a second appointment to touch up the roots; however, after seeing my own pictures, I simply cannot return. Yin did not at all and sat me in the chair as soon as I said I didn't need to, since I had washed my hair that morning already. I showed her a few reference pics of what I wanted, and she literally gave it to me in front of my eyes. Trimmed off all my dead ends and gave me longer hair in the front and shorter in the back. She even complimented my hair colour, which I did at home. (SO many places love ripping on you for your hair style/colour, especially if they weren't the ones to do it) The final result was a little choppy in the end (could've had more layers) but I liked it.
