My husband and I had to come to Houston unexpectedly for treatment. I had an excision done at my…read morelocal dermatologist at home. I had no idea that we would be out here when I had the excision done. I needed to find a dermatology office that could remove simple stitches on a very small area. This does not even need a doctor. It just needs a quick five minute appointment with a nurse. I have insurance. I was willing to pay for it, and they denied me, saying that they cannot help me because I didn't see one of their doctors to do the initial procedure. How could I have done that since this is the first time I've been in Houston and it is under difficult circumstances. I just needed help and they refused to make an appointment with a nurse. It shouldn't matter that their dermatologist did not perform the procedure. Any nurse could remove stitches and I have to get them done somewhere since they can't be in my body for longer than two weeks. This is not helpful. Very disappointing that this would be their attitude. Oh well. I found an urgent care in the same area that is willing to do it.

10 April 22 I'm in excruciating pain at 5:30am Sunday…read more Tomorrow will be one week since I had a procedure by Dr. Brown. I was informed after my surgery to take Tylenol. ????? Two calls placed to the answering service, I reached Daniel. He listened and informed me to await a call from the doctor. Take my word for it, Tylenol was extremely insufficient. My complaint was there zero bedside manner given. The entire facility staff was outstanding, I couldn't have asked for a better experience from the introductions to my discharge from the hospital. The doctor is apparently one of few words, facts only. He nor his staff called to inquire how I was doing after the surgery. Of course, the hospital did. It's now 5:53 and I'm waiting for the doctor to call me before calling in an actual prescription for pain. (All I can think of is the tv show on ABC). My initial visit, they didn't take any vitals, I was in and out in 15 minutes. Again he is a matter of fact person and answered all my questions. He was thorough in his response and I did receive the service that I paid for. The lack of aftercare is disappointing. It is now after 6 am and I am still waiting on a return call. 2nd conversation with the answering resulted in me speaking with another surgeon. This doctor listened, asked probing questions and gave his best advise. This is how a patient should be treated

Dr Brown is an incredibly talented plastic surgeon, an artist really. I've had two cosmetic surgeries as his patient. He takes his time answering questions and has an amazing and easy going bedside manner. My results have been jaw dropping and better than I could have imagined. In some ways his surgical results are life changing and certainly my self esteem is higher. As a physician, I am picky and choose my own personal doctors based on their training and skills. Dr Brown is truly one of the best in the business. His MA, Morgan, is also stellar. She kept me in the loop on many aspects of my care and is a pleasure to work with. She helps him run a tight ship.

Not only is he very meticulous with his work, I have had enough time with him now to say he is definitively a kind person who cares deeply about his patients, not the bottom line. Hes very honest and up front about pricing and talks to you like a human. He is absolutely genuine in all aspects. What youll find with his practice is being treated like a beverly hills movie star on a budget that is extremely competitive for this area. He doesnt upsell or try to use the latest jargon to confuse you. We all know this is a rare gem in a doctor. We need to protect these kinds of specialists at all costs in all fields! His staff has always been beyond exceptional. From Jahira to Jasmine, and of course Silvia. Every girl and woman ive had interactions with thus far (which are quite a few now), have been so kind, so gentle. They make you feel like family. This goes for both the med spa and surgical center, both of which I have had a lot of encounters with. IF YOU ARE THINKING OF GOING TO THIS DOCTOR BEWARE! HE IS PUSHING UNNECESSARY MEDICAL PRODUCTS FOR…read moreTHE MEDICAL MANUFACTURERS. Terrible chair side manner. I came in wearing a splint I had been prescribed by my orthopedic doctor that was covered by my insurance . Dr. Das had a preference for his own splint, saying it would be better. He put it on me in the examination room and had me wear it to the checkout desk. At that time I was charged $81.19. Why would he put a brace on me and not tell me insurance didn't cover it and not tell me a price before he had me wear it.? I felt embarrassed and tricked. Because he told me it was going to be so much better than the orthopedist's brace and my embarrassment, I paid for it. I am on Medicare and a fixed income, This felt very wrong and predatory. After wearing it home, I kept having to adjust the brace, because it didn't stay in place. It did not keep my hand and wrist stabilized. The advantage sold to me was the open area between bars would keep the brace from rubbing over my injury. Instead, it wouldn't stay in place and the bar would ride right on top of my injury. At my follow up appointment, I told the doctor the problem with his brace and that I had been using my orthopedic brace since I had seen him last. He offered no compensation nor discussion. At the checkout desk I told his nurse of the problem and she said she would put in for a refund through the manufacturer. It could take up to 30 days. I have called Dr. Das's office every month for four months now and they tell me they are waiting to hear back from the manufacturer. I'm not going to ever see a refund. Dr Das never should have pushed his wrist brace on me without see if my insurance would pay for it. The brace I was wearing worked perfectly. Because, the brace from my orthopedist was covered I assumed this one was as well and I let him put it on me. It looked like a good design. I felt duped and preyed upon when I had to pay the $81.19, but I trusted that at least it would be more comfortable. Instead, it did not function as it should have. Again, it twisted and would not stay in place. I never needed a new brace in the first place. He was just working for the Medical manufacturer, pushing their product that was completely unnecessary. I would tell anyone who's thinking of going to him to find another doctor. This one is just out to make a buck at your expense.,This took a big chunk out of my budget in a fixed income.
