Great prices on older models of shoes. Small size, but tidy and organized.
It was a nice change of pace walking in here after dealing with the mobs at the Nike and Reebok outlets.
They have a really nice variety of running shoes, with many older models that have been significantly marked down. On the Saturday I went, they were offering an additional 25% off of the marked price.
Having worked in specialty running retail for several years throughout college, I knew what I was looking for. After a recent foot injury I have been thinking about testing out a more stable shoe than what I've been wearing over the last year.
I found a pair of stability shoes that felt really comfy that were less than half of the retail cost. I made it up to the register and just before checking out I spotted some insoles with special padding under the metatarsals- the area of my foot pain. After a friendly salesman showed me where the full selection of insoles were located (he understood I knew what I was looking for and was find helping myself) another salesperson comes up and hovers over me while I was investigating, checking up on me even after I made it obvious that I didn't need any additional help. Annoying and she was obviously interested in the sales commission (when I checked out they asked who had helped me).
I asked about the return policy at checkout and the cashier said it was 30 days. The insoles did not come in half sizes, so I asked that if I trimmed the insole to fit appropriately in my shoe, if it would still be OK to return or use as store credit. The answer was no to both, but he assured me that I wouldn't need to trim the size 12 to fit in my 11.5 running shoes. They curl up at the end and definitely do need to be trimmed. read more
