i was in the store and was looking around, first time in. I was quite turned off by a reaction on of the workers had to a lady who said she couldn't justify paying almost retail for a 2nd hand skirt. While I was looking around I did notice several outdated and retired handbags that was way over priced. For my first and last visit in I was not impressed. The girl behind the counter could barely get off her chair, rude for someone coming in. Just no smiles and juts overall an unfriendliness vibe in the store. I won't be back! read more

I love consignment stores. I heard about this place from a new acquaintance. So I thought I would check it out on my way back to Richmond. I found a number of lovely things in my size, including a hardly worn pair of Franco Sarto black sling backs (just what I needed) for about $30. I look forward to checking out their inventory when passing through town again. read more

Super selection of high end clothing, shoes, and purses. The service was great and the ladies were helpful but not over bearing. We were visiting from out of town and they were happy to talk about where we were from and things in the area. read more

At first, I thought it was a mirage....then I realized it was the infamous Ladybug. The staff were angels. They had beautiful summer ware and shoes to try on. Bags and purses of all sizes and colors were displayed. Summertime .......when the livin' is easy. ~ from the opera Porgy and Bess by George Gershwin. Even Norma Jean was smiling down. Happy to give my money to the lady that made an impulsive decision and bought something that didn't work. I hate buying new anything - and consignment shops split the sale with the original owner. Also, I 'donate' the clothes that don't sell and that works out, too, as there isn't a pick up and do it all over again if it doesn't sell. Getting it out of my house is the hard part; I don't want to do it all over, again. The owner, Theresia is a delight! Today I returned to ladybug consignment excited to use the gift certificate I received on Black Friday. I purchased a wallet and handbag. I am from out of town and was in Williamsburg visiting family for thanksgiving on my first visit to the ladybug. This time I am in town for a travel soccer tournament for my children . When I began to check out I gave the attendant the gift certificate from my Black Friday shopping trip. The attendant immediately said these are not legitimate gift certificates someone has made a copy of our gift certificate. l explained that this is what was given to me and my sister on Black Friday. She blankly told me - no we did not give these out , and we are not accepting them! I am not sure what actually happened weather the clerk ran out of certificate on Black Friday and made copies and forgot or that maybe a clerk made copies and was not supposed to and is now afraid/ embarrassed to admit it. With so many places to shop in Williamsburg I am surprised to have had this experience at a small insignificant consignment store. Sadly I will not be returning to the ladybug on future trips to Williamsburg and I will discourage friends and family from supporting this small shop. When operating a small business customer service is key to survival. It will be sad to see another small business fail due to lack of basic business skills. read more

UPDATE: I am the one who wrote a review on Ladybug that was not favorable to the shop. I was a 1st time customer & did not feel that I had the best experience. However, it took a few weeks, but the owner did respond to me and made things "right." She really went above and beyond to make things right. This is highly commendable in my opinion and I will not hesitate to share the outcome of my experience with all! Many times, as we all know, things just go wrong, but here is a place that will make it right if they do. Thank you, Ladybug, for following up and being so gracious! read more
