We just had a very positive experience today at this store. It is located in a Heubner Oaks shopping center around the corner from Snooze. We were looking for comfortable walking shoes for an upcoming trip and Pablo helped find us the best shoes to fit our needs. He laced our shoes up for us and when my first shoe tie was a bit loose he tried another called the runners loop which was perfect. They have a platform that you stand on for about a minute that captures the details of your feet like your arches or if you over pronate. Pablo was very knowledgeable on how to interpret the report and selected a couple different styles to try. They offer discounts for military and other affiliations so be sure to check and see if you may qualify when checking out. I've been shopping at this location for years. Used to buy their athletic clothing during the street wear fashion boom due to the quality and aesthetics and eventually started buying my sporting goods from them as well. Jesse has helped me nearly every time, including fitting me for shoes using their super cool foot measurement machine. It calculates you exact size per foot and whether you pronate or supinate. He is always knowledgeable and has guided and provided insight whether I buy something or not. The entire staff is always so kind but Jesse is a class above the rest. He has remembered my name, greets me with a smile EVERY single time and is just the most genuine guy. He even remembers facts about me that I have mentioned in passing like me playing paintball and my music choices which has led to me ordering through them exclusively when I buy anything new balance related. Our salesperson, Hailey Saunders, was so pleasant and helpful. She is now our go to "NBRx Certified Fitting Specialist". As soon as we walked in, she greeted us with a beautiful smile and a warm welcome. She asked how she could help and listened as my elderly father explained his concerns in detail. Hailey was very professional and incredibly patient with us. She was also very knowledgeable and extremely thorough when explaining options to us. She took time to detail the differences between models and how she thought they would affect our experience. She even gave us bottle is cold water (which was very appreciated since it was 95 degrees outside). After the foot & gait analysis, Hailey kindly explained the results to both my elderly parents in terms they could understand and relate to. She never made us feel rushed or unwelcome. The plan had been to purchase 1 pair of sneakers for my dad to help with his plantar fasciitis, but we ended up buying 4 pairs of sneakers because she was so great. We bought 2 sneakers for my dad and also bought 2 for my mom who apparently struggles with some very high arches in her feet. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that the 4 sneakers and 5 pairs of insoles, or orthotics, ended up costing over $900. I wasn't expecting to spend that much for sneakers for my parents (who are definitely NOT sneaker heads), but you can't put a price tag on health and happiness. It's been 3 days and my parents are raving about how much better their feet feel. The pain isn't bothering them anymore. They even started walking around the mall with their friends again for daily exercise. The store was very clean and didn't smell like feet or a dirty locker room. The cold water bottles were a very nice touch. Parking was a a little cramped but not too crazy. All in all, I highly recommend this store if you need sneaker expertise, especially for folks suffering from foot ailments. Ask for Hailey and she'll take great care of you. It's probably easier to buy sneakers at Nike, Payless or the like if your feet have no problems, but the extra $30 may be well worth it if you're having foot issues. Buying shoes is not easy as my feet present quite the challenge. I generally purchase one pair of good, solid shoes that fit well and wear them until they give up. Yesterday, we entered this NB store & had the pleasure of meeting Tiffany. I explained the issues and by her responses we could tell she had listened, understood & knew what was needed. I like New Balance shoes, and I've shopped here for years. I wanted a pair to replace my old, well-worn ones, so I called ahead and asked the young lady what new style replaces my old ones and provided her with the number on the tongue of my shoe. She told me what the new one was and that there was only one of my size left. I told her I'd take it, and she had it waiting for me when I got there. I tried it on, liked the shoe, and walked out of there in about 15 minutes with my new shoes and a few pairs of new socks. I went to New Balance earlier in the year on a recommendation from my husband. You see, he had gone to New Balance a few months prior with the thought that he would figure out which pair of shoes he wanted and would then buy online as he had a discount coupon. He told me the service was so great that he went ahead and bought the shoes right then and there from the helpful salesman. I was looking to purchase my first real pair of athletic shoes as I was in the middle of my training for a 1/2 marathon and was seriously needing some professional foot ware. I was immediately approached by a young salesman and let him know that my two "musts" were that the shoes be for running and that they are vegan. Since I spend a lot of time standing, my feet are very important to me. And unfortunately I have a wide foot, so it's difficult for me to find comfortable sports shoes. Here I have found the right shoes for my feet and even though it's a bit pricey, they are worth every cent. The other thing that I like about this store is that they keep a record of the shoes you have bought in the past, so you can go straight to the latest style in your size without having to try on several pairs. New Balance Huebner you just lost a $400 sale and my business for the rest of my life in your store. I would not let Julian put a gun to my head and pull the trigger. I told him he can take a temperature reading on my arm. He refused. It is not acceptable that I let a complete stranger put a temperature gun to my head and pull the trigger. Laser temperate readings are accurate in any part of the body. He said this is our policy. I asked to see the picture. No where on your instructions to get in your store does it say I have to let you point a gun at my head and pull the trigger. It just says you need to take my temperature. Which I was more than willing to do. Your instructions need to state "we must point temperature gun at your head and pull the trigger". They do not so you need to clarify. I was refused service and I abused by your rules. Sounds like discrimination to me. I have my mask, no symptoms and was willing to have my temperature taken. I will be oursuing further and you will not have my business again. As a fellow small business owner I am highly disappointed in your actions. read more

My husband is active duty, and running isn't as easy at 34 as it was at 21. He had never bought shoes specific to his feet or running style, so we went to New Balance, on the recommendation of a couple friends who are distance runners. I called earlier in the day, to make sure we didnt need an appointment for the fitting. No appointment needed, so I told the gentleman we would be in this evening. As soon as I walked in, the gentleman remembered my phone call and greeted us. They jumped right into the fitting process, walking on the treadmill to determine ankle support and measuring pressure. The whole process took about an hour, but my husband is very happy with his purchase. We did pay more, but the shoes were the same price they would have been at a chain store. We spent more on the inserts, but if they help his comfort level, it is worth the money. A woman came in to return a pair of shoes, while we were there, and they were very courteous with her. The gentleman who was helping us immediately remembered the woman, her issues with her foot and shoe, and let her know he would help find another pair as soon as we checked out. I was very impressed with the customer service. We will be back, and sending friends. read more

I went in this morning to check out the 860v4s. I have purchased running shoes here each year for at least the last 5 years - if not more. I easily found the shoes on the shelf and picked up the display. Each associate was with a customer. I patiently waited. I noticed an older gentleman in a NB shirt standing in the storeroom doorway but he didn't seem concerned so I continued to wait and browse. After about 15 minutes another customer entered the store and the gentleman went and assisted him. I was like - Really? I calmly placed the display shoe back on the shelf and walked out. About 5 feet into the parking lot the older gentleman came and and said behind me - I HOPE we didn't ignore you. I HOPE we didn't make a mistake. I raised my hand and calmly said - No need to hope - you did make a mistake. I will take my business elsewhere. He said we all make mistakes. I HOPE I didn't make a mistake. I can't beat that. My bf and I came here an hour before they close. We were both here to look for new working shoes. There was a young man that helped my bf find his shoes. There was a blond short hair lady told me she will be right with me after she took care of her current customer. Before she finished with her current customer, a mother and her teenage daughter came in and also waited. As I looked at shoes that I may consider to try, I notice the female employee was ringing up her current customer in the cash register. So I'm thinking that I will be next. Not too long after she rung up her current customer, I turned around and noticed that she was helping the mother and daughter. I'm not sure why she decided to help them before me. Maybe because they were white and I wasn't? Who knows. Obviously, she did not want my business and did not want to help me. I also had a horrible experience here. I went into the store hoping to buy a pair of shoes as a gift for someone else. I already knew the exact size, so I thought I could go in, select a pair, have someone go in the back and get it for me, buy it, and leave... simple, right? Not here. I selected a shoe and stood there for about 10 minutes while the store employees bustled around with other customers and never even looked at me. I saw one employee headed to the back anyway (to get shoes for another customer), and asked if she could please just grab a pair in the size I needed while she was back there and she briskly told me to sign in and "someone would be with me," then she carried on with her other business. Surprised, I signed in (didn't even realize I needed to, otherwise I probably could have been helped much sooner). When it was FINALLY my turn (oh, did I mention I had a tired toddler with me?), lucky me-- I got the same lady who had turned me down before. However, rather than getting the same personalized, extremely patient and very, very long-lasting service I saw her giving to the customers before me, she acted hurried and annoyed. The whole ordeal took over an hour to get a single pair of shoes, and this is without even needing to try anything on! The only reason I even stuck around was because I had a Groupon that I needed to redeem, so I was stuck with them. I never intend to do business here again. The customer service is a joke. read more
