I rate 'em 3 stars. According to Yelp ratings' definitions, that's "Ok". That to me is an acceptable rating of something that does day in and day out what it is there to do. It's NOT a negative review because doing day in and day out what it is there to do is NOT an easy thing to accomplish. The owner of this business likes their Freedom so they have a Military and Veterans Discount as a thank you to Veterans with a publicly disclosed daily Veterans Discount which provides resource to ensure Veterans (rare 7% of the population) and GIs (rare 1/2 of one percent of the population) opportunity to participate in American Dream Veterans and GIs' sacrifices have made possible for 100% of the population. That's what earned 'em fourth review star for going beyond what they're in in business to do with a Military and Veterans Discount. Truth is the highest virtue, but higher still is truthful living. --Sikh Guru Nanak. Something snollygoster George Santos lacks. Did what they're in business to do Did it for the price they quoted us Did it within the time they said they would Delivered what they advertise Customer service was adequate No one here offered to commit fraud to reward us, pay us or compensate us for posting 5 star reviews of this business I'll be back. For my Customer Rule is: Always patronize again a business that has treated you well AND supports Veterans and Active Duty with a publicly disclosed daily Military and Veterans Discount. March is Women's History Month and National Disability Awareness Month Born in 1913 in Smithtown, N.Y Elsie Ott attended Lenox Hill Hospital School of Nursing in New York City after completing high school. Ott joined the US Army Air Corps Army Nurse Corps in September 1941. She was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant, sent to Louisiana and Virginia USA then Karachi, India. As World War II progressed beginning September 1939, US Army Air Force Air Transport Command grew quickly into the world's biggest airline. Its routes circled the globe transporting passengers and cargo. That demonstrated the potential of global air evacuation of wounded GIs. World War II forced the US Army Air Corps to pioneer military medical care because of the quickly resulting development of air evacuations of wounded GIs. One of those pioneers was Flight Nurse 2nd Lieutenant Elsie S. Ott. She was on the first intercontinental air evacuation aka air ambulance flight. It originated from Karachi, India to evacuate wounded GIs directly to Walter Reed military hospital in Washington, D.C. Ott received her assignment to this historic flight with only 24 hours' notice. She had no flying experience and had never flown before. The only medical equipment available to her was a first aid kit. No medical professional screened the patients who were to fly with Ott, and she and a Sergeant with a medical background were the only people on board to care for patients. The military evacuation plane left Karachi, India with five wounded GIs 17 January 1943. Normally a three-month trip by ship, after stops along the way for refueling, the US Army Air Force plane reached Walter Reed military hospital nearly a week after beginning. This shortened time for medical care was life-saving to wounded GIs. Ott knew that her report on this first med evac trip would be crucial for further planning, and she immediately sat down to make notes for future med evac flights. She listed the need for oxygen, more wound-dressing supplies, more coffee and blankets. She also noted that her wearing a skirt was impractical for this kind of Duty. Two months later, Ott received US Air Medal, the first given to a woman in the US Army, for her role in the evacuation flight. The Air Medal is awarded to US and civilian personnel for single acts of heroism or meritorious achievements while participating in aerial flight and foreign military personnel in actual combat in support of operations. Required achievement is less than that required for the Distinguished Flying Cross, but must be accomplished with distinction above and beyond that expected of everyday Duty. It is not awarded for peace time sustained operational activities and flights. Ott was promoted to Captain. World War ended 2 September 1945. She was Honorably Discharged in 1946. Nearly 20 years later in 1965, Captain Ott was selected to christen a new type of air ambulance: the C-9 Nightingale.

I have had to call several times today because I had to have some prescriptions sent up here and they are unfortunately the only pharmacy in the area that takes MediCal. I was on hold for at least an hour each time I called and two of those calls I was next in line and their phone system hung up on me. Nothing more maddening than that. I am surprised that ANYONE uses this horrible pharmacy. My pharmacy sent them my prescriptions and had proof they sent them and they lied and said they never got them so now I will have to wait 5 days to get my meds because they are incompetent. I can't wait to get my medication so I never have to deal with a Wallgreens pharmacy ever again. If you have another pharmacy that you can use , then use them because I guarantee you, you won't be happy with this pharmacy and their horrible service. If I could've left 0 stars I would have!

Usually less than 10 minutes. The pharmacist will come out and review your prescription with you if it's the first time you've had the drug prescribed at their pharmacy. My husband walked in with a prescription for pain medication for me, while I was in the hospital recovery room following surgery. I also needed Tylenol. They directed him to the Tylenol, and by the time he chose a bottle, my prescription was filled. He was impressed by the speed of the pharmacist, and the care of the pharmacist to make sure he understood the side effects of the medication and what to watch for. I live on the west shore of the lake. I started coming here after too many 45 minute waits at the CVS in Tahoe City to pick up a refill which was ready and sitting on the shelf. I live 20 minutes from Tahoe City, and 30 minutes from South Lake Tahoe. It is well worth the time spent driving (sorry earth, I know I'm burning gas) to go this pharmacy, than wait for hours to get a new prescription filled in Tahoe City. And it's a pleasant experience. I don't know why there aren't many reviews for them. I guess the patrons of this pharmacy want to keep it their secret. If you go there, please pick up your other non-prescription pharmacy needs. Let's keep this home town pharmacy in business. Their service is worth a few extra bucks.
