They were not clear with how our counter would be installed. It was badly cut and badly arranged…read more The son Ryan did a poor job measuring our area for the counter and he never informed us we could use their software to correctly arrange our slabs for our kitchen counter and backsplash so that they would match and look seamless. The slabs do not match and have a poor continuity. One of the seams between the slabs, because of the poor cuts/measurements, is large enough to fit a coin between the two slabs. This particular seam is the backsplash behind my stove so not easily hidden. Their solution, rather than using a new slab, was to just add extra caulk. When we expressed our concerns to the father owner Steve, his response was to tell us they had been in business for years and did the Governor's house years ago. Perhaps they would have done a good job for us if I was the Governor, but instead they did less than adequate work. Also, they did not put the hours for the sink faucets in the place where we wanted them. They did not ask for instruction on where to place the holes, even though we were in the house when they were making them. I had to have them come to our house several times to correctly caulk the seams. The technician did a sort of ok job. But the counters were never installed to our satisfaction. When we voiced our concerns Steve and Ryan simply dismissed us and our concerns. My husban

New Era was one of the few that got back to me and bid the job on short notice, and their price was reasonable. They showed up, did the job, and when I asked them to replace any damp insulation and charge me extra, they went above and beyond, even going to buy a new roll of insulation and charging me zero extra except the cost of the materials. If that wasn't enough, when they found out that I was replacing the roofing myself, they gave me a bunch of advice, dropped off some extra flashing and vent covers I was missing (again, free of charge), loaned me some tools, and even showed up and showed me some tricks to shingling valleys about midway through the job. Excellent service, can't recommend highly enough.

We are surprised with all the 5 star reviews on Yelp as this was not our experience at all. We had…read morethis company take a look at a small leak in a roof on one of our rentals in Double Diamond. They were prompt in coming out but the bid was exceptionally high. My husband and I were in Real Estate and Property Management for 30+ years in the area (He is a Retired Broker). We have had roofs fixed and replaced over the years. We had a roof replaced a few years back on a home for around $20K and they did a great job. This estimate was for almost $12K for a leak fix. Reading the repairs that they were going to do made no sense at all, it was over-kill. And then to get a note back after my complaint telling me the same thing listed on the estimate still made no sense. It was an easy request, "just fix the leak", no extra this or that unless you can prove it. We had three other estimates from top Roofers in Reno take a look at it. The lowest bid was $1,400 and the highest was $1,800. This is way off from the almost $12,000 I was quoted. We were looking for a fair deal and therefore, we will chose one of the other companies. One of them has done exceptional work in the past but they do get busy. That is the main reason I was getting more estimates since it is hard to wait when you have a leak. But if I save ten grand, I can wait. The picture shows proof of the estimate and the charges minus my personal information. I will let you decide if you should use this Roofer.

After a year of delays and excuses, the contractor filed for bankruptcy and left us with the footers and framing completed but nothing else. Thankfully, most of the materials were on site with the exception of our lattice tubes. We checked around with several different contractors and felt like they were either trying to price gouge us or didn't have the skill to complete the project at a high level. Then, we contacted Cody at Padgett and Sons. Cody was quick to come out and assess the status of the project and to figure out what materials were needed to complete it. It was clear Cody wanted to make things right for us, so he offered to finish the job at a reasonable cost and was transparent on what the process would entail. We had no hesitation or concern that it wouldn't be completed to the standard we wanted. Even before signing contract, Karan got to work contacting the city to figure out what would be required to get the project completed. Unfortunately, it required cancellation of the existing building permit under the old contractor and applying for a new one. Cody was quick to get the new building plans put together and submitted. Once the plans were approved, Cody sent out a very knowledgeable crew, Bryan and Matt, to finish the job for us. It started with them installing the materials on site and then ordering the missing materials. Once they came in, Bryan and Matt returned to finish the project. By the time the project was done, Bryan and Matt were like old family friends. After the project was complete, Cody and Karan coordinated with the city to have an inspector come out to approve everything. The inspection went smoothly. Our pergola saga started in February 2025. We contracted with Padgett and Sons in April 2026, and the entire job was completed by July 2026. We're blown away with how Cody, Karan, Bryan, and Matt made the time to finish our project. Not just that, they really made sure we were happy with the end result, which we absolutely are! There are a lot of pergola contractors out there but I can tell you from firsthand experience, Padgett and Sons is the real deal. They aren't a fly by night company, and they stand by their work. We can't thank them enough for helping us when we were in a really tough spot. We highly recommend Padgett and Sons to anyone looking for a reliable company to complete their shade structure/pergola project, as they are quality people that deliver beautiful results.

Ed and Shay helped develop and coordinate the project. Extra steep, three layers. Cedar shake. Everything to make it a challenge for the removal. On top of all of that there was rain, the one time we have rain this summer. It ended up being a 2 week project that they obviously had to do in between other projects. The roof came out nice and now fully vented up to code. Some suggestions for improvement for lobo: perhaps show clients shingle options before work has started. Also some communication leading up would be nice. But overall they did well on this challenging project.

5 StarsPlum Level Square is the real deal - Get Marcos if you can!…read moreWe hired Plum Level Square for the framing on our home build/reno in Northern Nevada, and they completely exceeded our expectations. When we first met Marcos, he came across as extremely friendly, professional, and straightforward--no sales fluff, just honest talk about the project. That immediately put us at ease. We did our due diligence and checked the references he provided. Everyone raved about him, but one gentleman's comment really stuck with us: "If you can get Marcos, you need to get him and sign him. Do not have any other framer frame your house." That turned out to be 100% accurate. Marcos and his crew were on time every single morning, left the job site cleaner than they found it, and their work was impeccable. Our home is truly "plumb, level, and square" just like the company name promises. Every wall, every corner, every detail is spot-on. We also had a general contractor overseeing the project, and he was meticulously inspecting their work daily. He couldn't stop singing Marcos's praises to us, telling us over and over how lucky we were to have him on our job. In the end, we have a rock-solid framed structure that's perfectly prepped for all the trades coming in behind them. We couldn't be happier with the quality and the entire experience. If you're building or doing a major project in Northern Nevada, do yourself a favor and book Plum Level Square--specifically Marcos if he's available. Worth every penny and then some. Highly recommend!
