Screams at the children and if they so much as look at one another during reading time (which is half the morning, who wants to read all morning before class??) she will embarrass your student by yelling at them. The ONLY saving grace about this school is Mrs. Ayala. Thankfully my daughter has a few short months left at this school and we're out. If you have options, send your kids somewhere else.

It is was very difficult to find the actual physical addresses of the CCSD due to this mistake. I am feeling Optimistic about the direction that the Clark County School District is taking. With this new Superintendent in place, Jhone Ebert; a former teacher. I really like her overall stance. I've seen her on the local news. I've gotten the email messages; there was a Going Back To School guide, as well as various Back To School Fairs, located at the major malls. Jhone Ebert has such positive messages for us parents in Clark County. There is a new energy at the Clark County School District. In her "Welcome Back" message the Superintendent announced that all CCSD students would be getting free Breakfast and free Lunch.

We have both of our children at St. Viator currently in 7th grade and 2nd grade. I can honestly say that this school has been great for our children. Does the school have flaws? Absolutely like any school, there are always areas that can improve. However, nothing we have experienced has been extreme, and overall, we have been very happy with our decision. The teachers have been amazing and truly care about their students. The curriculum is superb, and I have been impressed with the education and support our children have received. We are also very happy that some of the teachers from our previous school are now at St. Viator. My oldest has known some of these teachers since kindergarten, so having familiar faces and teachers who already know our family has made the transition and experience even more special for us. When we first arrived, I felt that the administration needed some attention, but I have definitely seen improvement over the years. One of the biggest blessings for our family has been the St. Viator community. Coming to Las Vegas without having family here, having a school community that feels supportive and welcoming has meant so much to us. I also appreciate that when issues arise between students, they are taken seriously and can be resolved quickly when parents communicate openly with the teachers and administration. I know this firsthand because my daughter experienced a situation last school year, and communication played an important role in getting it addressed. Overall, we have had a very positive experience at St. Viator. No school is perfect, but the caring teachers, strong curriculum, supportive community, and the relationships our children have built make this a school I am happy to recommend to other families.

The number of volunteers who continue to give their time to this school, many have had children attend and now have grandchildren here, says so much about the community that has been built over generations. I knew 35 years ago that St. Viator was where I wanted to send my own children because of its academic rigor, but the truth is, it has been the best place for them for reasons far beyond academics. St. Viator has created a community that is open to accepting students who learn differently while giving high-achieving students the opportunity to learn alongside them. It is a place where students are celebrated for their unique abilities, not defined by their disABILITIES. Thank you, St. Viator, for creating a community of acceptance, belonging, and high expectations. Choosing this school has truly been one of the best decisions we have ever made for our children. My two St. Viator graduates were fully prepared for two of the best high schools in Las Vegas Bishop Gorman and Secta. Both are taking honors courses and my son is taking several dual enrollment college courses. They were prepared to be effective communicator, lifelong learners and able to advocate for themselves. They have the confidence to join clubs and teams becuase they were given leadership opportunities at St. . Viator. My sixth graders is involved in so many extra curricular activities and keeps a full schedule while being held to a high academic standard. St. Viator keeps God at the core of all they do. This school teaches to give back to volunteer and help others less fortunate through campus ministry and homeless lunch. They learn this important life skill from PreK and continues past St. Viator. This school also has every extracurricular activity you can imagine: chess club, cooking club, band, choir, cantor, art club, pottery, book club, student government, cheerleading, numerous sports for grades 5-8 and even some sports for grades 3&4, and many more. There are incredible events both social and fundraising including back to school BBQ, Halloween carnival, fish fry (with the parish), winter festivals, movie night, jr high dances, fun runs, fashion shows, foundation galas, and many many more. The most special events are those for 8th graders including their class trip to WA DC and all the events in the month of May. The traditions of May Crowning, Baccalaureate, graduation brunch, ribbon ceremony, blessing of the tiles, and graduation are forever memories I have of my children. Thank you St. Viator for building a community where all are accepted, known by name, and help reach their full potential. Having my children attend St. Viator will forever be the greatest decision I have made as a parent.

I visit this church whenever I am in Las Vegas. This House of God preaches the true Word of God…read moredirectly from Holy Scripture. The Pastor is Tim Otto. Pastor Otto has a unique method of teaching Holy Scripture. Most of the time, he will use at least four real world instances or examples. Then he will speak about those examples and tie them to the doctrinal lesson for that Sunday. It is different and effective. He can get excited in his zeal for the Word and the Lord Jesus. Unlike most other Christian churches, Pastor Otto is not scared to speak about the place that Scripture calls Hell. He makes the point that Hell is real and horrible and we never want to even possibly have a chance of being condemned to Hell. He makes it clear that we can avoid going to Hell only by believing in Jesus and trusting Jesus with our soul. Our actions and behavior will not save us, but our trust in Jesus will keep us close to God and safe from Hell. His sermons usually last 20 minutes and rarely go beyond 25 minutes. The true Word of God is taught in this church and I always look forward to my worship at Mount Olive Lutheran when I am in town.
